@@theodorbutters141 Never said they were but contrary to literally the whole capitalist world in which what you have described is exactly the case for the majority of people, there was no homelessness and everyone had a job guarantee, no anxiety over their future etc. and the quality of life in the GDR is something many many US-Americans would be happy to have nowadays. And all of this without massively exploiting the third world.
