Building the stamina to do it for 12-15 rounds is honestly the hardest part but of you do that, it will become natural to. you just be dedicated to that goal you set for building your strategy on top of it
You might be setting yourself up for disappointment bud. There are professionals that are trying to master his jab. There are just as many trying to master his footwork. This applies to all pros since Ali beat Liston. Wanting both is admirable but it’s been 50+ years and nobody has come close! The GOAT can’t be learned or taught. He had god given ability that no one will ever possess. Hard work can pay off, but goals need to be realistic.
@@jrayner21679 after 8 months I have got it down once I get in the ring using the style. I will let you know just to prove you wrong Just like what ali said. "Imma going to show you how great I am"
Hey Gang More videos to come. I had severe arthirtis in both hips during the filming of all these videos. Had one replaced in Dec, next one scheduled in June. Looking forward to doing better demos.
Awesome! Amazing how such a subtle change can create a massive difference in reach Ali looks almost untouchable during his jogging circle! Coach is showing how narrow stance gains 5~ inches of reach, and the one-footed technique can reach another 5~. It's important to get back out of range (or otherwise stay evasive) quickly when throwing an extended strike like this, since the stretching jab is exposing your head. Ali's footwork and stamina played directly into this. Notice how Ali looks much more mortal when he's fatigued and can't keep up the jogging circle pattern. * Oh yeah, also remember Ali's "lean back" defense? Another game of inches, combined with this already powerful tactic. Without training, I can only lean back a few inches, but combined that means abusing these body mechanics creates an additional FOOT of space compared to a squared-up opponent. Ali's most dominating performances were against these slower methodical fighters
It's awkward to think about as a non-boxer. Technically this means you can reach further to your side than in front of you. Traps and naturally wide shoulders should enhance the effect.
i saw a video ali running backwards while punching..he makes opponent want to chase him and punish them. Same also on the rope. So hard to master hes style.
That's a true student of fighting to be able to beak down how Ali made the jab much more than just a "Set Up" punch the average boxer and even trainer thinks it is.
Counter Balance Checkout my seminar " Stick & Move", I think I show something called " Mobile Artillery" . If Its not there I will make a video for it.
@@coachburger9384 Ali threw super combinations going backwards. That can't be duplicated as he did it. I have never seen Heavyweights do this. I don't think his jab can be done like him either The man just had cat-like reflexes and could pick opponents apart. Nice dialog - I rate Ali Jab up there with Liston and Holmes. Ali jab was much quicker but didn't have the power.
Watching this video gives you the secret behind Ali's jab connection and movement during jab contact, extremely useful for mastering this style but lets be honest, are you really gonna master it?
i have been trying to master his jab and footwork to then make up my own strategy and footwork out of it
His footwork is so hard i always train for stamina

That and the fact he had a crazy long reach...

Could you explain ,even when moving backwards Ali was capable of throwing a heavy punch.
Cause his opponents are stepping into his punch.

Also add that Ali had long reach already compared to most other heavyweights.
Not against sonny Liston and he still out jabbed him

Which style do you guys prefer, Ali style or Mayweather style ?
I will never be Ali. I will never be Mayweather. But I can learn and take from each of them .
