I know I'm here two years late, but thank you so much for this tutorial! It only took me about 10 tries to get it. Easily the best method for doing this that I've found anywhere.

While I landed several times on my own on the adjacent landing platform, I was never able to suit up and travel to the station itself, the gravity being wonky and the ship often flying away while I unbuckled. Landing on that window was the saving grace. Thank you mate!
Thanks man, it helped on how to get to the station easier , even though i had a pretty bad impact. But most importantly landing on that spot made all the difference. I actually got out and didnt get flung into space, just a few feet from the entrance. Thanks again!

Hi. This technique got it for me, but I was never able to do the landing part on the window or anywhere. I think I know how they expect you to do it. You can get the ship tied up in the debris between the two structures so that it's fairly pinned. Then just hit the eject button. That's what worked for me.

Cheers thanks to your video I was able to get to the Sun station nearly 100% of the time. The rest was up to luck. Had to eject myself in order to reach there.
I wasn't able to do it like this because I kept getting flung backwards for some reason. I understood how, but couldn't pull it off. I ended up getting it by tilting my rocket so Bramble was at the top of my screen, and I was "chasing" the sun station, adjusting the speed to catch up or slow down accordingly. Moving my thrusters forward felt easier than moving them right and forward. The tip to land on the window rly helped though. Before I watched your video, I was just trying to get as close as possible and then jump out the hatch and hope I didnt get flung too far.

This method worked for me perfectly. I attempted it a lot early on to no avail, so after moving on to play the game regularly and getting better at maneuvering the spaceship I went back and did this method and got Hotshot on the first try. Thank you for this video!

THANK YOU. I finally managed to get this fucking trophy. Your set up is by far the best one, even tho I personally prefer to eject, in fact, once you’re in the station orbit and you have matched the speed, it is enough to stay close to the wall near the opening and then eject and press circle to get out of the space shuttle. This guarantees you’re sucked to the wall of the station and from there it’s just a matter of crawling
Ok, it can be done with a controller. I just landed AND got the achievement by having the ship actually dock on the Sun Station. Unless it docks, you will not get the achievement. So there's that. I put together a video of me landing and getting the achievement. I will post it here in a little bit. Thanks for the tips!

i just wanted to say the biggest thank you!!! i dont overly care for trophies but this trophy DESTROYED my husband from wanting to keep playing, so i learned how to on my acc got the trophy and then got it again for him as a surprise he said he'll finally 100% it again :)
I did it! Thank you!!!! I decided to eject rather than land and then I had a frantic panic-driven jet pack sequence before successfully bouncing into the doorway 😅
Something I learned from someone else is that the weird gravity issue with your ship has to do with the artificial gravity. If before you perform this maneuver, you accelerate at the attlerock and then turn your ship to the right so that the left side slams into the attlerock, you can disable the artificial gravity. Just make sure to repair everything but the artificial gravity to increase your chances of surviving hitting the sun station if you mess up. Once you get to the sun station, it will be zero G in your cockpit and you can exit using your jetpack.
Glad it worked, friend! I tried to make it as easy as I could, but ultimately it's a hard achievement. I'm just happy this video is being useful somehow!

I personally watched this waaaay before actually doing it, and didn't remember where you landed. What I ended up doing, which also worked quite well, is landing on the other part of the station, facing towards the part where you landed. While holding the thrusters down to stay on the platform, you can look to the right side of the console of the ship using the down button on the d-pad and press the eject button. It doesn't launch you all the way to the other part, but you can easily use your jetpack to do the rest.

Nah, the real way to do it is to orbit the sun at breakneck speeds until you crash into the station. Then, use the ejector seat in your wrecked ship and flail around until you somehow end up inside the station.
Well, I certainly didn’t land as graceful as you did; it was more of a crash landing actually. But that’s on me not being great at the game, your method is fantastic and really helped me nail the achievement down.
Finally got it after countless tries. I used your way to lock on the sunstation. But for me an other tip worked better to eject yourself out of your ship 😅 and then slowly go to the entrance. 😂
I kept aiming for what looked like a landing pad but the few times I made it, the gravity in my ship wouldn't let me leave. Weird that one spot works and that's how the devs decided to leave it. i found it easier to find a stable orbit at ~3km then let sun station come under me as I descend. It's more fun than memorizing a sequence of inpiuts
