Chase, you might be the greatest force in the riding community for promoting safe, good, enjoyable riding! I am glad to be a sub...thank you for the awesome vids like this!
I want one so bad. The new look is really really good on it. I saw the first one my dealer put together and I have to force myself to wait until the end of the year, but I think I'm going to do it...
Hey Chase and triumph. Just a heads up this video made me go and try out the speed. I'm now the proud owner of the 2016 speed triple. Great video, great company and amazing bike. Thanks Chase, your new mate from Australia, Ben.
Crazy thought +chaseontwowheels but have you ever considered being a DJ? You HANDS DOWN have the best intros in any motorcycle videos. The editing and song selection gets me pumped every time. Keep it up!
The “whistle” the engine makes is the sound of the straight-cut gears of the engine’s balance shaft. It’s a very mechanical sound. I have a 2017 Speed Triple S and I absolutely love it. It’s comfortable and torquey and wonderful to ride. Not a super-fan of the headlights vs the older “bug-eye” look, but you can’t have everything.
I test rode a 2016 Speed T also. Nicest smoothest bike I've ever ridden. Super comfortable too. I've got an FZ-1 which has more power, but the Speed T was so smooth and comfy. Really nice. Great sound too.
RSWalston why? For real? Why this any less than anything else? Listen guys, if you’ve NEVER ridden before lemme just say this, whatever you want to ride, take the MSF course first. Then, understand that bikes aren’t magnetized to the road. Before you even go into a turn, slow your speed according to how far into the turn you can see. When the turn comes, push into it with your arms and lean your body to the right of the bikes center and into the turn. NOTE* don’t twist the throttle in the turn more than what you’d twist while taking off uphill in the rain and adjust going up from there as your confidence goes up. Get full coverage insurance. Allstate just offered me $55 a month for full and that kicked the shit out of USAA js... I digress. Get this bike if you’re a mature beginner.
@@MrMann-gt1eh i get your point. But i cant agree with taking on a 1000cc torque monster as a first bike. As a new rider you wont have a the throttle control and stability to ride a bike like this. Here's what will happen, the beginner might make it clear through a few corners, gets more confident will hit the gas harder at the end of a turn, gets surprised by the power kicking in which will result in another backward motion of the body which is another yank on the throttle, front wheel will come up rider goes down hard... yes if you're real mature you might be able to drive a 1000cc bike as a first, but everybody has his crazy moments while riding and a bike with power like this will suprise a new rider and just throw them off balance
Chase i love how you keep improving your edits and production. You're putting out some really good quality production content lately, especially those first rides!
I have a 14 Speed Triple and they are fantastic! Best bike I have owned ( better than my old BMW K1200 R). If you get one you won't regret it. Peak power is everywhere!
I love the Speedies, saw a new '16 in the flesh and loved it; Triumph did a great job with the new headlights. I had a '13 as a first bike which wasn't very smart, that one didn't have any traction control, but I rode the wheels off it with 7k miles in 3 months before I traded it in.
My favorite thing about the Triumphs is the induction noise and that little whistle you talked about towards the end. If only they weren't so damn expensive hahaha
Awesome first ride chase! 675r is my dream bike! See if you can ride one! I'd love to see the quality of the speed triple with the build of a supersport. Thanks, amazing editing dude. You inpsire the shit outta me. You're editing has really hit another level recently, keep up the awesome work dude!
I rode one of their triples for 12 years, and I believe anyone who buys one will be giddy for the first year! The original was 955cc, but now it's a 1050.
despite being at a numbers disadvantage on paper against all its rivals, that triumph is still cool as hell. Love the way it looks (except for the headlights, gotta go back to the round ones, maybe with projectors in them) and you can't beat that triple sound!
Chase IMO lots of guys ride on twisty roads on weekends... basically everyone i know with a bike, so i would suggest you do more reviews this way and less in town where u can't lean it or open it up much. Great channel bro keep up the good work 👌
Thanks Chase for the detailed video about the bike and specificaly about the throttle response and power delivery. Way to go #TriumphAmerica, keep it up!
I've been a fan of the naked bikes since '01. Now that I'm older my ride now is a Honda CB1100, old school and air cooled. I may still add a speed triple, because who doesn't need 2 bikes?
i literally watched this video in 2017 and because of it went for a test ride with the bike. it was awesome, but i didnt like the dashboard and the sound back in the way. first bike i drove 125 mph with. i ended up buying a sports bike, because wind protection and yolo. nowadays that i had my fun, i'm thinking about getting a naked bike and the newer version (not the 1200, the one before) seems like a perfect choice, because they improved on the dash and sound. maybe i'm going on a test ride again. thanks for the video, always glad going back to it for the walk-around and pov-driving experience!!
Torque, is why we love our Harleys. We don't care too much for buckets of horsepower, as long as the pull can tear off rubber with a passenger, full bags, big fairing, and all the radio/speaker power on the market when we leave the stop sign. We don't ride them because we like the track. We ride them, because we really love to just ride.
Nice to hear that in the U.S. they finaly realize that naked bikes are awesome 😁😎. I myself ride his little brother, a Striple R '14. Very superior in the twisties and so nimble. Glad you enjoyed your ride on a Triumph 👍👍.
Chase, I was coming from Blairsville GA to Cleveland GA today and I passed by the place on the mountain where you parked your bike in the beginning of the video and I started freaking out. I scared my dad because I started yelling OMG there it is there it is!! 😂😂✌️
I recently sold my 2007 R6 for a 2013 Triumph Tiger XC and I think I can feel the torque you were talking about in this video. I would love to try one of those speed triples too.
Speedie is one of my faves I currently have the same one you ride, bought couple months ago and I just love the way they ride especially when tune and suspension adjusted. I used to have an 09 speedie and did a lot of tune and suspension adjustments and it rode like it’s on rails, I miss my 09 raw no rider aids and response well with your input. I still haven’t ridden my new speedie in twisties yet I’m pretty sure it’ll be a lot nicer, I wonder if I’d still be able to get down and scrape my pegs lol great vid.
Does this and the Datona 675 both have slipper clutches? You mentioned that the bike lacks engine braking (either in this video or the Datona 675 video). I feel like I would also prefer to have the ability to engine brake. I was curious is the slipper clutches are at all customizable; as I would allow it to function very little if I had the option.
Good brakes and power means you want tank grips like TechSpec or Stomp pads. Brembo monoblocs are soooo nice. Now that Triumph is using top notch components I might come back if Ducati doesn't do a new Streetfighter (that has a comfortable ridingi position). I upgraded the hell out of my old 955i. Comfort and torque are the winning combo. Exactly what bikes like the Speed Triple and Diavel are all about.
You forgot to talk about the quick shifter tho!! I have a daytona and love the piss out of it, glad you got to ride the Speed! Try to snag a Daytona next time!
Hello. Great Review. How comfortable is it for daily use? Wrists and suspension wise? It seems to be a good all rounder, but is it really? Best regards
Have you had a row with the daytona? Would love to see a country by country comparison of bikes if you see this. Also what is it like getting triumph in America? here in the UK only about 3/4 at best of cars available in America are available here.
Hi Chase could you please do a first ride on an 2016 r6 i know you have and older one but the 2016 one has a few different things and i think it would be good to compare to you're current one
Still love my 2012 Speed R & 2017 Street 675 R. I’ve had 4 different bikes since getting it and it’s the only one’s that stay constantly in my garage. I can’t bring myself to letting them go bc I know the regret I’ll feel.
Does anyone know why the US market didn't get the LED turn indicators? Great review. Hoping to get one within a week. I narrowed my choice down to an S1000R and this. Even though I could get the BMW for almost 2K cheaper, I still prefer the Triumph.
These bikes are hooligan machines, Delincunts speed triple was one of the best bikes i've ever ridden.
fuck that canadian fuck
+Srib nice! Way to kill the FUCKING VIBE
+Srib someone crashed into him.
+Srib to be fair snowcat ruins any vibe
He got a new one.
The intro with the specs on the bike was my favorite part of the video! So clean and nice looking
"Oh baby ,its a triple "
Chase, you might be the greatest force in the riding community for promoting safe, good, enjoyable riding! I am glad to be a sub...thank you for the awesome vids like this!
with triumph hooking you up you should give the Thruxton R a look, torque for days
Thanks, Triumph America, for lending this bike to Chase. Definitely informed my buying decision process.
I fell in love with this bike too buddy - I'm literally fighting the urge to trade in my Street Triple as I type!
me also haha. I only got mine in sept new as well.
Owning a Street Triple is a real problem in that it is so hard to justify getting another bike.
+John Sumser True that
I want one so bad. The new look is really really good on it. I saw the first one my dealer put together and I have to force myself to wait until the end of the year, but I think I'm going to do it...
I'm with you there. Love my Street Triple R, but every time I ride by the dealership I'm so tempted to stop and get a Speed Triple R.
Keep it up!
A beast, a wheelie machine, absolutely love how they sound.

It’s comfortable and torquey and wonderful to ride. Not a super-fan of the headlights vs the older “bug-eye” look, but you can’t have everything.
Very good first ride chase!! You covered everything that needed to be covered!
Tells you everything you would ask as a biker in his first ride videos, and covers everything you need to know in a full review.
Chase, your first rides have evolved into the dopest reviews on youtube brother.. awesome stuff..
Your production quality has improved so much over the years. Top notch work man.
I've never saw how beautiful this bike is, until i saw a moddified with a single headlight.
So pretty :D
Adda boy Triumph ! Keep supporting quality people like C2W and You're guaranteed dividends !
Absolutely love the cinematic shots with the electronic dance music in the background on these first ride videos, keep 'em up chase.
those intros for the bikes are so creative and so awesome! am I the only one who loves them?!
Yes, you are the only one.
Pretty cool that OEMs are recognizing the power of RUclips for getting their product out and kudos to chase in particular for getting their attention
Jesus Chase. I've been subbed to you since before 10K and finally went to your website. That is a very keep it simple CLEAN layout., very nice job.
man I love these 3 cylinders bike. their high torque gives them that supermoto feel that it's just so awesome
I test rode a 2016 Speed T also. Nicest smoothest bike I've ever ridden. Super comfortable too. I've got an FZ-1 which has more power, but the Speed T was so smooth and comfy. Really nice. Great sound too.
This is my bike five years on and I love it like you wouldn't believe.
one of the best FR videos you've done.Holy 2.0 was my favorite. But you did an awesome job on this video.Nicely done.
This series of videos is the most fun motovlog series to watch ever.
Also you should ride an H2!
Dude the cinematics where awesome and pointed out a couple of things I missed, nice. Would be a great standard for all FR
"If you're a new rider these brakes will scare you"
If you're a new rider you shouldn't be taking a Speed Triple 1050 through the twisties lol

The brakes on these bikes are the worst. It is a well documented issue with these Brembos. Maybe his were one of the few that work like they should.
Man this is definitely the most entertaining review I've ever seen in youtube... Excellent review... Keep it up
Triumph did a great job with their street/speed triple and their Daytona's. I love my D675, she never fails to amaze me
TriumphAmerica is the MVP ty for giveing co2w the speed triple
Chase i love how you keep improving your edits and production.
You're putting out some really good quality production content lately, especially those first rides!
That thing is BEAUTIFUL
I have a 14 Speed Triple and they are fantastic! Best bike I have owned ( better than my old BMW K1200 R). If you get one you won't regret it. Peak power is everywhere!
Chase this bike fits you perfectly!! Just your style!
Hi Chase, this is your best "First Ride" ever! I love your editing.
Mike
U do the best reviews on RUclips den comes Cager. Always remember to say how high the bike is and if u can flat foot. Keep it up
The quality of this video is amazing !!
I love the Speedies, saw a new '16 in the flesh and loved it; Triumph did a great job with the new headlights. I had a '13 as a first bike which wasn't very smart, that one didn't have any traction control, but I rode the wheels off it with 7k miles in 3 months before I traded it in.
i never really liked the headlights on street triples ...everything else looks nice though..
They look great with a single headlight.
I love 'em lol
I like'em. The single light looks pedestrian.
This is the exact bike I'm buying on the 30th. Can't wait!
fucking love the sound of a 3 cylinder engine
That whistly sound is lovely indeed
i like daytona 675 engine more, high rev sound is 👍👍👌
The whistley sound is from the transmission. It has straight cut gears in so thats what makes the noise.
I personally think this bike would sound like just pure bike sex. I also agree with chase on the exhaust, they are alittle but too big.
I have a 12' Triumph Daytona and it sounds orgasmic with the arrow full system!
you should do all your first rides on this road. we all want to be on roads like this. love your first rides chase
Mexico is nice this time of year
19:18 if I'm not mistaken, I believe all triples have that chirpy whistle. The FZ-09 certainly does.
I have a 2016 street triple rx. And I love it! It is my favorite bike of all time :D
Great video, bike sounds so cool and looks super stable with excellent build quality. Nice job Triumph!
Now 20 years later all the supersport riding geeks are realizing how great naked bikes are. Welcome to the club!
The drop with the Triple was...WOOOOOOW!!!!!
My favorite thing about the Triumphs is the induction noise and that little whistle you talked about towards the end. If only they weren't so damn expensive hahaha
I have to say this was my favorite bike review i have ever watched..
Aces High Chase!!! Outstanding well done first ride!!!
I rode one of their triples for 12 years, and I believe anyone who buys one will be giddy for the first year! The original was 955cc, but now it's a 1050.
how can you not love the street and speed triples
love my 2015 streety
Totally appreciate our review!!
despite being at a numbers disadvantage on paper against all its rivals, that triumph is still cool as hell. Love the way it looks (except for the headlights, gotta go back to the round ones, maybe with projectors in them) and you can't beat that triple sound!
The details really make or brake a machine... That red stitching is just off the hook! :D
Chase IMO lots of guys ride on twisty roads on weekends... basically everyone i know with a bike, so i would suggest you do more reviews this way and less in town where u can't lean it or open it up much.
Great channel bro keep up the good work 👌
Great video Chaes, the Triumph Speed Triple is a great bike to ride...
Thanks Chase for the detailed video about the bike and specificaly about the throttle response and power delivery.
Way to go #TriumphAmerica, keep it up!
.....comfort and torque. Two of my favorites in a car too!
Went from a CBR600RR to a Street Triple. No regrets, I love my STR!
Looking forward to your 2017 Street Triple RS First Ride
The mount keeps making me feel like this video is 360 as well
ikr

Love the sound of this bike. I'm more of an off road guy but this is just awesome
The pictures on your website are beautiful chase. Lol Yummi's R6 was sooo dirty.
The Triumph Speed Triple R is probably the best naked bike there is. That is my opinion though. Some don't like it's looks but I love it.
The location is absolutely awesome..!
I've been a fan of the naked bikes since '01. Now that I'm older my ride now is a Honda CB1100, old school and air cooled. I may still add a speed triple, because who doesn't need 2 bikes?
I see the bike in vid has bulb indicators. In the UK this bike comes with LED indicators stock. I wonder why they are bulb in US?
i literally watched this video in 2017 and because of it went for a test ride with the bike. it was awesome, but i didnt like the dashboard and the sound back in the way. first bike i drove 125 mph with. i ended up buying a sports bike, because wind protection and yolo. nowadays that i had my fun, i'm thinking about getting a naked bike and the newer version (not the 1200, the one before) seems like a perfect choice, because they improved on the dash and sound. maybe i'm going on a test ride again. thanks for the video, always glad going back to it for the walk-around and pov-driving experience!!
did anyone else find it weird not seeing a "suburban delinquent" on the triumph lol?
I was thinking the same thing lol
Trueeeeeeeee
I don't follow...

in my case i don't really ride in the city and i work outside of hellen so i think its amazing that you are on the rbr

Hey Chase why don't you make a C2FR of a ktm rc 390 I think you will enjoy that ride
the riding modes don't cut the power at all. the change settings and throttle response...but they all deliver the same 140bhp at the top end...

"I'd much rather have a tiny one" - C2W, 2016
Hey Chase, do you ever plan on test riding a KTM Superduke 1290? I think that you would really like that bike
For everyone that wonders where the whistle sound comes from, it's the straight cut gears on the balance shaft.
Have you seen the front end of the Yamaha fz-10? Since they're finally bringing it state side. Love or hate?
Where is that overlook that you were at in the beginning? I've been there once and have never been able to find it again when I'm up at blood/wolf pen
Does anyone know why the US market didn't get the LED turn indicators? Great review. Hoping to get one within a week. I narrowed my choice down to an S1000R and this. Even though I could get the BMW for almost 2K cheaper, I still prefer the Triumph.
Chase i kmow this is older video. Which you prefer the bmw s1000r 2014 or this
What kind of gloves are you wearing? Nice!
