I just wanna say that you are one of the better Skyrim modding RUclipsrs out there. You are chill and you get to the point. Most of the others nowadays try to be "funny" (but instead are just annoying and loud), or include some overly cinematic clips instead of showing gameplay, or they play with these oversexualized characters, or they do a terrible job at explaining the mods, or they drag the video to 30 minutes+, etc. You are more akin to the older Skyrim modding RUclipsrs like Brodual.
Had most of these already but you uncovered a few gems that I had no idea existed, for example the sound mod.. Thank you for putting in the time and effort to show us these! :)
LOL just yesterday i was thinking of overhauling magic gameplay in my game and was watching 2 of your videos about magic, this video couldnt come at a better time
I’m the same. I have the TAO - Triumvirate Apocalypse Odin - spell mods but I’ve heard good things about Mysticism. I liked the 3 (expert?) level elemental spell pack and might use that in the future. I’m also interested in enhanced atronachs for the time I play a conjuration mage.
Forgotten magic is one of the best magic mods in the game I reckon. A little overpowered though but really helps when you want to roleplay a mage class.
Thanks! A lot of inspiration here. I liked the idea of no casting time, then discovered "different casting time" on Nexus, which changes casting according to your level of the according school. Maybe an alternative. :)
Appreciate the video, I've heard of a lot of these having tons of incompatibility so be prepared for some bugfixing as most are not plug n play for larger modlists.
There is another one good animation mod for magic and staves called Inquisitor animations (by ADRI), inspired by animations from Dragon age inquisition and other games, and they're looking really cool))
You gotta check out the new Skies Above Weathers and ENB. Definitely a phenomenal alternative to bright, heavily stylized ENBs like Berserkyr, Rudy’s, or Silent Horizons. It’s customizable, it has a lot of unique effects, and is great for those looking for something closer to vanilla tones that still brightens up the game and intensifies the atmosphere.
I tend to gravitate towards a more tanky tackicle alteration mage. I used alot of mods that add wacky alteration concepts like oil to slow down enemies, and blink to teleport to high ground. The armor and telekeniese also works and I also have a bit of restoration. Any tips for visual mods in this department? i know alteration magic is typically seens as useless but making builds around this playstyle has always been fun to me.
Spellsiphon has 1000% become my favorite magic mod. It adds an entire new spell system ontop of skyrims old system, so you can swap between either interchangably, and its insanely indepth. It also adds infusions to weapons, like conduit, but adds a resistance based off what youre attuned too, and bonus effects based off what element you have. ITs actually crazy how slept on it feels.
I rarely play a mage but thanks to your video my game now has wizard hats. This was a great video and I picked up a few mods ( not just stylish headgear) because of it. Thank you.
i'm really enjoying your videos, they cover big mods as well as less known ones i've never heard of, keep it up! maybe one about locations would be nice
Love the content it's so melancholy it's got a great vibe to them very and I mean very Informative and it's got me back in the whole skyrim vibe agn thanks bro
I'm personally running phenderix, arcanum, mysticism, apocalypse and triumvirate for the mother load of new spells in addition to ordinator and it makes me feel like a god.
The holy trinity of spell mods I feel are Apocalypse, Forgotten Magic, and Phenderix. Also if you like summoning things/necromancy I would recommend some of Mihail'a Monster Mods. (That and they add a bunch of cool creatures)
If your using vokrii or ordinator, there's actually a perk in them that increases damage to unalerted enemies. So the sneak attack mod isn't really necessary with them.
I'm overjoyed to see that you have included Forgotten Magic. Forgotten Magic is my favorite spell-adding mod in Skyrim. I often build my mages with this mod in mind. I cannot imagine playing a mage in Skyrim without it. However, my favorite magic perk mod is Paths of Sorcery. I think it is much better than Ordinator when it comes to overhauling the magic perks.
i just got a magic mod called *Odin Magic Overhaul* , it adds about 20 ish spells to EACH school of magic and also scales up the damage to up to 10 levels higher than the base level of the spell
I use Audio SFX Overhaul Immersive Sounds Conpendium Sounds of Skyrim paired with dynamic 1st person animations, DAR Smooth Animations. Darenii AIO is by far one of the best spell mods especially with you use it with conduit 😁
Hello your Fire Spells Look Amazing! What Settings did you use for Embers Xd Regarding the Spell. If There were more mods that changed the visuals of the spell please tell me aswell.
Hello, I just discovered your channel and I like it. I know a little bit about modding. I watched your "How to Mod Skyrim in 2023: First Mods to Install (Beginner's Guide)" video. In what order should I watch your videos from now on?, I saw your video "How to INCREASE Skyrim Performance with Mods (Performance Mods + More FPS)" I'll start here, but what is your suggestion?
One really nice mod I would like to recommend but don't exactly know the name is Drop Spell Scrolls. It allows you to simply drop a scroll from inventory to cast it. Paired with spell research, you can craft your own scrolls allowing you to make completely new builds. Obviously useful for mages but you can pair it with other classes like Heavy warrior and drop spells all around you or pair it with a thief to make a ninja and drop invisibility scrolls like smoke bombs.
apocalypse + ordinator was one of my first challenge build which was restoration and alteration only. no armor. my only skills I leveled to begin with were restoration/alteration/enchanting/alchemy. and while the start sucked for thw first 15-20 levels. at level 40 or so this became probably my strongest build I've ever made. I was healing and dealing damage to everyone around me with certain spells. such a fun time. Would highly recommend, gonna be trying some of this stuff which I haven't done any of the other stuff outside of apocalypse and ordinator
One of my frustrations with Skyrim magic is duration. It drives me a bit nuts recasting my protective magic continuously. There are some Sustained Magic mods, but not all of them work so well.
I know there's a mod out there that dynamically changes the cast time based off of level of spell and you skill in that school of magic. Like a novice in destruction will take forever to cast a master spell. While novices would cast novice spells faster.
That does sound cool. I think of magic as channelling power around you by pull it into you and then emitting it as a firewall or other magic effect. The higher level you are , the better you are at sucking the magic into you and blasting your enemy to pieces. Drop the mod name here if you ever remember it.
I use EmbersXD with Inferno addon, but yours look way cooler in my opinion. Do you remember which options you select when installing Embers XD? I may have to drop Inferno
Check out path of sorcery and the ordinator and path of sorcery patch called path to ordinance. Spell research is also cool Trivurdate Odin Phenderix elemental magic
All these magic overhauls/rework, but none of em play like Oblivions one tap spell cast, it also didn't need to be equipped on right/left hand and made being a spellsword way smoother
Nice video. I added a few mods for my list, though the animation and sound mods didn’t interest me. One thing that would be helpful, at least for me would be If the mods have plugins, are they ESLified and can they be added mid game? For armor and clothing mods, which body types are they for and do they have physics. I care about ESL-ified mods since I’m at 254 active plugins so I don’t have any more slots without using something like zmerge to merge plugins together. I actually tried that last year and discovered that I change my mod list too often for that to work for me. I kept having to recreate the merged plugin which got old pretty quickly! Thanks again for making these informative videos. if you are looking for ideas for new videos, cover the TAO - Triumvirate Apocalypse Odin - mod combo would be a good one. Also covering the best mage gear like robers, aetherium crown ( with circlets aren’t armor mod) , erudite ring, boots, gloves, amulets, and perhaps a few stand out staves. You could even cater it for different schools, best for destruction, illusion, and conjuration mages.
You really shouldn't touch your list at all once you've started a playthrough, it's bound to fuck something up. But hey, if you like restarting every time you get to level 10 then more power to ya.
Hey do you think you could make a guide explaining how to fix issues with sprint power attacks on MCO ADXP. There seem to be no good or reliable guides anywhere yet many people(myself included) seem to having issues with this. I mostly mean that mods that add sprint power attacks seem not to work and even worse many power attack mods with MCO get their custom attacks overridden by vanilla animations.
Visual Electrocuted Combustion does not work for me. I installed it properly with every additional file needed. It is shown in the MCM but it does not apply any effects. Can somebody help?
Do You Play on AE yet or still use downpatcher? New to modding and had a horrid time trying to get my game to work with downpatcher for some reason so have just been using ae compatible mods
I just want cool looking spells. Let me summon a fire dragon, let me summon a giant skeleton hand to swat or punch enemies. idk why I cant this shit in games.
Arcanum is better than Apocalypse, less bugs, less cheaty, offers creative solutions for more builds. Like an arcane archer for one, just using arrows that explode is not an arcane archer.
What Dodge mod are you currently using? I currently have been unable to get any Dodge mod working with the current version of Skyrim including TK Dodge. All of them either get dll script errors for being outdated or in the case of teekay just not working at all even when following all of the up-to-date Anniversary Edition instructions
@@peacefusion unfortunately downgrading your game makes it incompatible with the Skyrim special edition patch meaning most mods will not work. I'm just not sure how people are getting these mods to work with these crazy workarounds when those workarounds cause more problems than they solve. The oversexualized characters in the videos make me cringe.
Y'know, I just stumbled across this video while re-watching some of Brodual's old videos, and I was thinking the exact same thing.
softgaming and redshift are goats, i hate heavy burns
its always the o with a horny af modlist and two thirds of the mods being visual enhancements or useless bloat
No casting time make ur game look like dragonball not dragonborn 😂😂😂
I agree i ain’t downloading that bs 😂
For someone like me who came back to modding again since 2016, your mod showcase videos are godsent! Keep it up
Funny. My nexus account shows i last downloaded mods in 2016. And now i got back into it. Seems we are on the same vibe. Stealth archer ftw.

I use the immersive sound condominium and the dynamic first person animations

Arcanum is the best imo
I would really recommend some first person animations too, for the tight spaces like tombs when third person clips
Nice video!! May i ask, what is the mod for the fire spell/effect at 2:07?
Smart Cast, and The Wizard Warrior are a couple essentials for me.
Ordinator is so good. I thought I was done playing Skyrim, then I got Ordinator and found out I had a lot more playing to do.
If your using vokrii or ordinator, there's actually a perk in them that increases damage to unalerted enemies. So the sneak attack mod isn't really necessary with them.
Pretty sure ordinator has a perk in the sneak tree that makes it so spells can sneak attack
