I 100% agree with Loni. If it’s a real person that had characteristics backed up by facts and sources then it should be played by someone that looks somewhat like the person but if it’s someone that may or may not have existed in the way we assume they did, then you should be able to have some freedom with casting.

If the Rock was casted, people know his reputation of putting out great movies, of course the movie would make more money, he is a well known actor. I understand that certain roles need ethic actors to look that part, but I feel that in this sense, I agree with Loni in the fact that since it was a folklore, it should be okay. Also, I do like people are downplaying the fact that the Rock is half black, and is a POC. As an Asian American myself, I understand the frustration in non-POC having main roles that are supposed to be ethic to that character. We are the least represented in the industry, and never get any main roles in movies.
