This is how every PA system should sound. It hardly get any better.
Old school sonics and there ain’t a thing wrong with that. The tonal accuracy is astounding.
These are simply beautiful and such a part of the history of HiFi. For whatever reason, they don’t seem to get caught up in the RUclips compression as much as others.
These horn speaker systems were what was used in the first “talkie”movie theaters. Horns like these could”project” the sound thru the screen. And they were highly efficient to make use of the WE triode tube amps used in the WE theater sound systems. Rc
Strangely appealing. It's like something Lionel Jeffries would have had in his (admittedly big) garden shed! Very eccentric. :)
This was a treat to hear these vintage speakers.
Unfortunate that people choose to talk over the sound in this once in a lifetime opportunity.
Then they will go listen intently to $100k box speakers that can't touch the lively dynamics of these old gems.
Audiophiles for you. They'd rather talk about audio than listen to it.

Personally, I love a good tango! G.I.P. Labs, corporate collection, used to calibrate their current lines, horn topped polished woods to the inside of the big W.E.s.
Love these speakers, they have an amazing sound just a shame those that want to have a chat didn't go out into the corridor and let the other people enjoy and understand why late 20s design got it right first time with these speakers.

Sorry to continue-hit the wrong thing by mistake.RCA developed a sound system for theaters similar to these shown. Very sadly many of these early speaker systems were dumpstered when the Altec Lansing “VOTT” systems came on the scene. Glad these survived! Or are these newly manufactured? They sound in incredible!
Those can't be described by the usual audiophile-lingo, they suck in all those aspects, but play in a world of their own entirely. If I had to choose one system for life, I'd chose these.
BenX74 couldn’t agree more. My Quad ESLs do a similar thing, though on a much smaller, more practical scale.
I wished listeners would have a bit more respect for horn systems! All the TALKING and walking around was rather a distraction ... After all, THIS is where it all began when very low power output was all there was to drive these extremely efficient systems. Of course, this statement written here by myself, a 1968 Klipschorn ALL tube driven system owner... Wish I could have heard this in person. (O;

Very cool and at the same time completely impractical for the general consumer market. You can see why these would be very good for large venues like movie theaters etc. Unless you have a 30X 60 foot music room these are ridiculous. Still cool none the less.
that is what they are 1950's or similar cinema speakers - massively efficient to work with low power amplifiers of the day.
They were made for Cinemas and theatres in the 1920-30s...
Are they using 594 Driver ?
I see folk leaving for whatever reason. For me, not have the space for such a conglomeration, the time would be for reference purposes. Sound more realistic and detailed over the RUclips air and land lines then most.
How many watts of amplification are being used? Would be really interesting to know

Remember that these were driven by Tube Amps with output transformers. (16 ohms was common, unless they were 70 or 25V., but I don't see the speaker transformer that would also be common).

You're not allowed to play good music on super systems like this. You have to play plinky plonk or jazz, sadly it's the law.

What do you know about classical music?! You probably listen to edm on cerwin vegas.
It's very specific to the listening experience. Your supposed to feel like your in the presence of musicians actually in the room playing instruments.
