The introduction of Upper Deck gave us high end cards. They were trend setters in the hobby. I believe bling on cards came about because of the competition they introduced back in 89. Thanks for putting this together and showing us the promos. I was unaware of those.
Thanks for sharing. I remember when ‘89 Upper Deck came out and was amazed by the quality and look of the cards. I think Topps Stadium Club also appeared around the same time also.
So cool to see some of the original ‘89 Upper Deck cards in PSA 10s, it really is amazing just how much they changed the game. The DeWayne Buice story is great, haven’t heard that one in ages. The promos are VERY cool, I had not seen the majority of them. Makes me want to go land a few! Fantastic overview of an important set and its promos, pal, very well done! 👊😃
I learn so much from your videos, Brent. Didn’t know about Buice’s connection to Upper Deck. Also, I had not seen a UD promo card before so it’s amazing to see the all the different ones together. Great cards and info 👊
Brent! Thanks for teaching me something new, my friend. 1989 UD changed the game when I was a kid but I didn’t know about the promo cards. Thanks for sharing, buddy!
I love 89 upper deck. It is such an iconic set from when we were kids.
I agree!
