So glad to hear! Yes I made it clear in the video it wasn’t a review!! Have you been to any other resorts? I feel whenever I ask that no one answers lol. Because if you compare it to other resorts that are less you will understand
Based on your review I think I'll book this resort; everything you showed appeared fine as well as the people you talked to there. Sounds like buyers remorse?
Once you’ve been to so many All Inclusive resorts you start comparing them which can be a curse. Like I said there were many people who were enjoying it. I thought it was very overpriced and food was not great and didn’t like the location.
My wife and I stayed there Memorial week 2022 for 7 nights. We love the vibe and location. It was close to all the night life, shopping and restaurants. This resort was very clean, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Food was ok. You can't expect the food to taste like home. We booked through Costco Travel and had a warning about the seaweed before we booked. We're going back to this resort this August 2024 and taking friends this time; we had an amazing experience with dinner on the sand and shows they had going on. Most of our time was spent relaxing at the pool and enjoying the nigh life. We didn't feel claustrophobic. I'm not sure about your safety concerns? but we felt safe. My wife and I go to Las Vegas once a year I feel I have to watch my back more there.
Good to know!! Have you been to other resorts? Yes the location is good if you want to go off the resort but I hated the layout and felt more just like a Florida resort rather than a Mexican resort. The huge abandoned resort next door was creepy.
Just stayed here for 6 nights, last week of October. The entire beach was amazing, turquoise blue, very clean white sand. Not sure about your safety concerns but I didn’t feel it. We did get a free upgrade for to a ocean view. From your video my view from balcony was better, we were in the center or the resort. I didn’t not eat at the pool restaurant but restaurant on the beach had the best tacos, asada, fish, chicharron etc. The Mexican restaurant Joya, and the Hibachi restaurant were amazing. We didn’t like the buffet restaurant because it was typical precooked meals but the mimosas were really good. We found that ordering room service for breakfast that the food was cooked fresh, made it order. Not to mention the proximity of this resort to downtown strip was a 3 min walk. Bars, shopping etc. I definitely will return.
We stayed here for a week over spring break this year. Loved it. We have two small kids and booked the family and friends package which has two connecting rooms for more space. We loved the pool and the beach and spent our time going back and forth between the two. The best part of the hotel (other than the amazing service from the staff) is the spa. I’d encourage you to give it another try. We already booked our next visit for next year.
Everything you showed, gave me a complete opposite impression comparing to yours. I agree that the beach was a bit more crowded than I expected, but everything else looked fine.
We just left this resort and were BLOWN AWAY by how beautiful it all was, how clean it was, the food was outstanding, tons to do for the kids, staff always helpful and available, we will definitely be going back!!! 👍🏼👍🏼 5 stars from our family for sure
Thank you for this review and all your other videos, my husband and i love watching them because we learn so much. I completely understand not getting a good vibe and having to leave. You do such a great job, please keep the videos coming ❤
Wow, I stayed here last July and had a completely different experience. I found the food, and services delightful! But I can see the beach not being the vibe!
My wife and I stay at the Excellence Resorts in Cancun. Excellence Riviera Maya and Excellence Playa Mujeres. We've never had any of these issues. The first thing I would recommend to first-time Cancun visitors is to stay out of the hotel zone. That will fix most of your problems. The second thing is that you get what you pay for. You want budget? You're going to get budget and everything that word implies. My wife and I decided long ago we don't vacation enough to skimp on it. Instead of 4 budget vacations, we'll wait and save up for 1 nice one.
Thank you so much for Sharing! It was helpful. Wife& Me with 4 kiddos 13,11,8&2. Are going for first time, 9 nights. We were planning to book a place for first couple of nights then resort hop. Is that a good idea? Would you recommend a place? How did you book. When we go to a new country we usually reserve the first 2 nights, if we like it we extend or explore more options. Thanks ❤
Ty so much. That’s an interesting way to do it but I get it! It depends on budget. The hotel next to this one is fabulous Hyatt Ziva Cancun that I do a review on. Are you beach people or pool?
Hyatt Ziva Cancun for sure then. The grand at Moon Palace is also pretty good but beach isn’t good and I feel like the last few years it has gone down. First of all, even if you would have stayed there one night there is NO WAY you can get a real feel for a resort in that amount of time. Since it was only one night you should have just sucked it up and given it a chance. You are in Mexico and NO PLACE is safe there. That room was fantastic. I love when people say "I don't care about the room". That's great and I hope you never get sick in a resort or it never rains for days. If you have a crappy room and that happens then you are stuck in a crappy room for all that time. The seaweed is an unfortunate reality EVERYWHERE!!! Get a grip on reality.
So true!! That’s why I said from the very beginning 00:23 that it wasn’t the fairest review just me sharing my experience and also said I didn’t give it a fair chance. But still thought I should make the video because there were travel agents raving about this place and if you’ve been to other resorts in the same price category it doesn’t even compare!
@@beachbumsailordude Why do you seem so upset? Also, did you watch the video? The points you raised are acknowledged by her in it. For instance, she admits that the abundance of seaweed isn't the hotel's fault. She's simply sharing her experience without advocating for or against the hotel. Your aggressive reaction towards her seems odd, as if she personally offended you. Is it that hard to fathom that people may have different priorities than you? Shocking, I know! She doesn't prioritize the room and emphasizes the beach, similar to how you imply a nicer room is a priority for you and you're okay with seaweed in the ocean. Each set of priorities is valid; let's respect others. It's fine to be a counterpoint but be respectful about it. Your comment is way too snappy, snarky and just plain rude.
@@jhagerty1996 Thank you for your response. I think what we have here is an extreme reaction to an extreme reaction. I'm saying the author and myself, not you. I'm sorry you interpreted my response to the video as harshly as you did. All of these places have their + and - and what I generally try to do is make the best of a bad situation as it can be worse if one pulls the plug and goes someplace else (frying pan into the fire).
No place is safe in Mexico? I don't agree. Yes, there's crime, but that's everywhere. Not going to Cancun because of crime is like saying you're not going to Disneyland because LA is too dangerous.
In my many years as a vacation advisor many customers told me during my interviews with them that the room really didn't matter to them. But guess what the first thing they complained about upon when reporting back to me? They complained about the room. They didn't want to pay the money for a better room and then complained. Knowing this I focused on persuading them to book a nicer resort.
My wife and I stayed 5 nights here in 2019. We loved it! The best food and drinks. We had an ocean front private dinner ( which was included in our package). We had the BEST filet ever! Ruth Chris is our fav filet, this one was right below it. It was the first time at a resort in Mexico we actually had a filet that we were use to getting in the states. If your a beach person, you would not like this resort. We are pool peeps and beach walkers. The drinks were top shelf. The price for this resort has gone up since we went. Staff and the pools were great. We are planning a trip to Sun Palace in 2024. Can you provide info on your membership there please. Thank you. Love your videos. We stayed at Live Aqua in August 2023. The beach there was beautiful!!!
@@3Days3Noches Just so you know we watched your videos religiously before traveling, they were a total help so thank you for everything you do! Especially with the landing / airport experience.
I've stayed at this hotel several times in the last 10 years or so with no complaits at all. It seems that instead you are quarreling because you are pissed off for not getting an upgrade that you so badly wanted.
I have stayed at this hotel for more than 25 years. Every year with my entire family. It was very price before we used to pay almost a thousand or more a night depending on the season. Then it became all-inclusive and everything went down the drain. We decided not to stay here because it doesn't have what it takes to be an all-inclusive hotel. The prices may be affordable now but it's not worth it. They also don't ever offer free upgrades to anyone but they probably wanted a good review. I heard through some of the loyal employees that this place was sold and that's how management also sucks.
Sounds like you had expectations for certian things and didm't get it. Its like when you think you're seeing an action movie and it ends up being a drama. Doesn't mean the movie sucks just wasn't what you were in the mood for. Totally makes sense to me. I'm going in a week. It's my first international trip soooo I don't have much to compare it to.
@@3Days3NochesHi, I've been thinking about staying at Excellence Playa Mujeres but I know Finest is the sister Resort and some say the food is not good there, could the food at Excellence PM be bad like at Finest?
First, NOT at the end of the hotel zone, it is right in the middle. Look at a map. Also, the seaweed: duh, you went at the wrong time of year. Rookie error. There is seaweed (sargassum) everywhere along the Quintana Roo coast from Spring through October-November, depending on the year. I always go in the winter when there is no seaweed. It is, after all, a tropical resort, a place to escape winter weather. This is a beautiful, well maintained hotel. The service is impeccable. Been going there for 20 years and have never had a bad time, even at the height of covid.
Thanks for your thoughts on this resort. All reviews on travel experiences are subjective and this is a great example. We went on a two week back to back cruise and the first week was fantastic but the second week was not so great. Same ship but different itinerary and a new set of passengers made a big difference. Why? I just can’t say. My wife, daughter and I are going to Cancun mid March to celebrate my 70th birthday and I wanted to get the lowdown on what to expect. My wife and I used to go there 35 or 40 years ago and it was a lot different then. There were no American fast food restaurants and the main shopping area was downtown. Now in watching these videos it looks like Miami. We’re going to be staying at the new Margaritaville adult only hotel. There’s really no beach there but it seems the seaweed season has begun and we probably wouldn’t be using the beach anyway. I was going to use Nacho tours for our airport transfer but as it turns out we booked through Funjet and they provided private transportation, charter air with assigned seats and each person can bring one checked suitcase and full travel insurance. I think we will call Nacho for a sightseeing tour though. Lastly I wanted to complement you on your vlogs. You always are so upbeat and informative. Thanks also to your camera crew, the unsung hero’s of all successful vlogers.
Awww thank you for sunch amazing input! Happy Birthday! Yes Cancun is def more Americanized. I still love it lol!! I think because it’s so easy from NJ and then I get to see Nacho and his family
Did you watch the video?? I actually said that a few times that it was probably me. Have you been to Sun Palace Atelier Playa Mujeres or Grand at Moon Palace. Less money and way better and not cramped. That’s my comparison
I’m new to your channel. My husband and I are leaving for Cancun Friday, September 8th. We are staying at Ventus Marina El Cid Spa & Beach Resort. I would LOVE ANY feedback you or any of Your subscribers may have ( I think😂) I will share my review when we return😊
🤣🤣 The resort felt very cramped into a corner. The food wasn’t great in my opinion but only had a few meals. I went to the Sun Palace for less money per night and it’s so much nicer and updated and beach was better
@@3Days3Noches in Cancún Yes! I have been to Royalton Chic, Hyatt Ziva and Le blanc. By far Le blanc is the best resort I’ve been too , horrible experiences at Hyatt and Royalton for the price point, and for the deal we got at grand coral beach we had way better experiences than at those two . Service great, Room Great , pool area was great , buffet and room service was great! Only cons I had were beach is a little to thin for my liking, reservation restaurants were not that great
I would love to encourage you to return to the Gran fiesta Americana of Coral Beach and I only say this because our experience was 180° different from what you experienced. Especially the beach! Even our private transport, not affiliated with the hotel, upon hearing where we were staying, told us that we would love the beach that it’s known to have the best beach in all of Cancun. We 100% agree. We have stayed at Moon Palace Nizuc and Sunrise, and visited Beach Palace and the Grand. Of all of the resorts, Grand Fiesta Americana Coral Beach had the most perfect beach. The sand was powdery soft and white. The water was perfectly clear and turquoise blue with no seaweed. There were waves, but they were quite gentle and easy to swim in. We spent our entire week, either sleeping or on the beach. The only reason we have not returned is that we have multiple family members and friends who are members of the Palace Resorts. To book under them makes the price nearly unbeatable. The biggest disappointment with the Palace Resorts for us has been their beaches. To compare Grand Fiesta American Coral Beach to the Grand at Moon Palace would be difficult in that Moon Palace has so much to offer due to its enormous size. We have looked at returning to Grand Fiesta but I agree their prices are too high for what they offer. I think to be willing to pay this higher price you have to be willing to pay for the amazing beach. Everything else about the hotel is pretty comparable to Moon Palace Nizuc or Sunrise. The other feature of Grand Fiesta Americana Coral Beach that outweighs what is offered at the Grand at Moon Palace is the spa. I have done the hydrotherapy and a couples massage at both. Coral Beach’s spa truly made me feel pampered and deeply relaxed. Their pace was slow and calm the rooms were peaceful. When our massage was done we were allowed to leave at our own pace. We relaxed on some lounge chairs with warm blankets and towels. The spa at the Grand at Moon Palace made me feel claustrophobic and overstimulated. The rooms were too big and echoey with too many people. And the stages of water therapy. We’re almost uncomfortable compared to our previous experience. My massage was very rushed and too short, and did not include a relaxation period after the massage. I was just sent out to go change and leave. And finally one more thing, I would love to watch a review of Playacar Palace or Cozumel Palace. We are trying to decide between the two for this coming June. Do you happen to have any videos talking about the different times of year to travel to Cancun?
I love this thank you so much!! I wouldn’t go back because of the layout and look and feel of this resort. It felt very cramped and I hated the darkness and overall feel of it! I want to go to Playacar too but it is also in a weird location. Right next to the ferry stop and Cozumel palace doesn’t have a real beach! Anyway I appreciate this comment so much!
We stayed at Riu Palace Peninsula once and hated it because of the beach,we now stay at Iberostar coral level adults only every 4 months it’s wonderful and wonderful beach!
I had a very similar experience at Riu Palace Bavaro in punta Cana.. was booked for 5 nights and left after 16 hrs... It was an absolute dump, filthy, food was beyond inedible, watched them refill liquor bottles with God knows what...
This property received the Traveler’s choice best of the best 2023 award on trip advisor so I’m puzzled how you thought it was so bad to leave after 2 hours. I didn’t see anything in your video that the hotel did anything wrong. Did the hotel refund your money or you just forfeited the 1 night?
I know that’s why we picked it!! It’s very outdated and the beach was brown soup. With so many options out there it wasn’t worth it for me to stay when my favorite thing about a vacation is sitting on the beach. We forfeited most they compensated a little. My vacation time is too precious not to be happy somewhere
I have been to this resort and it’s incredible. Sargasso is natural and can’t be helped sometimes. this lady definitely made an unbalanced video for clicks and views! So many good people work here, it feels safe, and it is incredible. I have plans to go back.
The beach is very important but it can change overnight. Wind direction, storms and other factors cannot be controlled. The resort itself looked great and I loved the room even if I only stayed in it part of the time. If only we could have a seaweed free guarantee. Thanks for showing this resort. I find all your videos interesting and informative.
The Beach alone would have caused me to leave not just because of the seaweed, but because it looked so cramped, and also like you my family and I have been to other resorts with similar or better prices with spectacular beaches.
The issue is, one day the beach can look like this and the next be clear. Also, the resort you stayed at last time that had zero seaweed, might have been covered in it the day you left. Sargassum is seasonal and cyclical… it moves up and down the coastline and it is impossible to predict months in advance when you are planning to book. Statistically some areas have less sargassum than others, playa Mujeres for example typically has less as does this resort and the resorts surrounding it. But there is ZERO guarantee.
Totally get where you’re coming from here. We’ve been to quite a few resorts and felt very quickly that it was a bad choice, but we had already paid for a week so we stayed and often felt the frustration level rise as the days went on. And who wants that!?!? Often we spend several weeks worth of our wages to go for a week long vacation and it just sux if the whole experience doesn’t live up to expectations. It’s great to see videos like yours that at least touch on some of the main points that might cause people to think twice. Thanks! 👍👍👍
Todays update about Cancun is raining non stop but gorgeous beach color Omg I haven’t seen this color anywhere may be Miami side a bit but this is stunning Various layers of blue n green
This sounds like you were being nit picky, you speak so highly on things that most people would love. The beach doesn’t even look crowded and Cancun isn’t going to be cheap. You should have never posted this it’s not a fair to call it a review
I didn’t call it a review. I said all of those things in the video and I’ve been to resorts that are much less and much better. I wish I saw a video like this so I wouldn’t have wasted my time. With that being said some people love it! So it’s all about doing your own research.
Stayed here for 7 days and felt it was overpriced. Beautiful resort and when we went the beach was beautiful. Did not like the shows at all and thought the food was mediocre. I never saw them clean the pool. I have stayed the sister resort, the condesa a couple times and have preferred that one so much better.
@3Days3Noches my oldest is 13 and he LOVES the freedom we give him at the resort to walk around and be on his own (I know youre familiar with the safety at Excellence properties). He met a few other teens and it was really neat seeing him "hi-five" random kids who he made friends with. He liked going to the Juice Bar, Sweet Corner, and Food Truck as much as he wanted. At night time we gave him the opportunity to "babysit" our 5 and 10 year olds in the room, ordered them room service and we'd do Dommo or one of the other restaurants with our adult friends. Most of the staff already knows our kids so it makes things Extra easy. Honestly, it was the Best of Both worlds! Even some of our friends used his "baby sitting services", and he liked coming home with over $100 in CashApp between us and friends for his "services". 😀
Thanks god i found ur video about this resort bc i am going to book this resort for Dec vacation i want to book this resort bc i see they have 4.7 /5 stars
I’ve wondered about some of the people leaving reviews on the food. I wonder what they are eating at home that is so much better than the food at the resorts. You hear horror stories about the food and we really enjoyed it. We ate at every restaurant there. We just got home 4 days ago.
Food is subjective. Folks who aren’t adventurous or typically go out to Applebees for their night out might think food at most AIs are good to great. But someone from a large city with an adventurous palette might find food at AIs to be underwhelming.
I totally agree with the comment that said "they think you are the problem.." September 2024 will be my 9th stay at the Grand Fiesta Americana Coral Beach.....I would absolutely not consider staying anywhere else....All staff are kind, caring, and always exceeds expectations....concierge always going out of their way to accommodate any request.....The Executive Chef Sergio is amazing and you will never get a bad meal there.... Coral Beach has BEST location in Cancun ..... Your bad attitude is shameful, especially after being upgraded to a Master Suite......Coral Beach bent over backyards to please you.... But you seem very spoiled and immature.... Very disappointed that you would put this Beautiful Resort in a bad light, just because the seaweed washed in....They certainly can't control that and always have crews clearing it and cleaning up..... Coral Beach is a Ten out of Ten and their staff & employees always treat me like Royalty.....I sure hope your unjust , unfounded and terrible review , does NOT deter anyone from booking this most Spectacular Resort
Ty for this!! I did say very clearly it wasn’t a review and the biggest problem I had was the location and it being in a corner next an abandoned building and the price!!! The beach area was also non existent and you were on top of each other. Have you stayed at any other resorts in Cancun? It doesn’t come close to places like Le Blanc and Excellence for the same price. Of course this is just my opinion and I appreciate yours as well!!!
You didn't feel safe, you didn't feel safe... when it comes to safety, no one should have to justify their gut feelings. If you felt that way, leaving was the best option. Although I think you were hoping for family friendly close to the airport, I think The Finest would be worth the extra time in the transfer and, depending on time of travel will give you some options in the $600per night arena.
Stayed there for 5 days, wasn’t bad. One of the few hotels allowing family of 5 in one room. Beach was full of seaweed except north part which was okay. Food was average. Gave us free transportation to airport. I also didn’t like the dim lights ambience which doesn’t fit summer times.
We a planning another Cancun vacation and we are totally beach lovers, so thank you Blanche for another honest review, this place is good, just not for us😅
Blanche, hello from Vancouver, Canada! Enjoy your videos and have subscribed to your channel 😊. Need to ask if you have any suggestions for an AI Cancun resort (preferably adults-only) for a 10-night stay in mid-November (assume hurricane window should be closed by then). I’m a SOLO 40’s male traveller and want a fun vibe where it’s not all couples. I also enjoy good Mexican food (tacos, seafood) and premium alcohol. I’ve looked at Breathless but am worried it’s just too much partying and excessive drinking. I’m looking for classier vibe. I’ve looked at Royalton Chic but reviews are mixed and they don’t seem to serve premium alcohol without up-charge (no bueno). A couple of deals have popped up for Hyatt Zilara Riviera and Hilton Cancun but not sure about the crowd/vibe there. If anything stands out in your mind as to places I can research, I’d really appreciate it. 🙏
Hello Vancouver!!! Thank you so much for watching and subscribing. So have you watched any @coolist videos? He’s a solo traveler in his 40s and did a bunch of reviews in Cancun! Have you looked at Unico? I haven’t been there but heard it’s very classy. Not sure if it’s couples only. Sun Palace you would prob be bored. I have found that the nicer the resort the more boring it is. Royalton Chic might be good because it’s right next to the hotel Zone nightlife and restaurants etc. Breathless was a little raunchy for me ha ha Check out James channel!
@@3Days3Noches Thanks for your reply! One thing I’ve learned… I think we have the same taste in hotels LOL. The Unico is $8.5KCDN for 10-nights (single occupancy). Our dollar value is 💩 😞. This amount is way above my budget for a solo trip to Mexico. If I’m going to spend that, I’d rather go to Italy. I agree that the more expensive the hotel, the least likely it will have singles and a fun vibe. This is from many trips to Cancun/Mayan but most were when I wasn’t single, so I never paid much attention to the number of other solo travellers. I have seen @Coolist’s videos and he gave high marks to the Royalton Chic, but TA reviews say the liquor is bottom shelf and they have a lot of up-charges. Thanks for the suggestions! Keep up the great reviews…. and please suggest to your partner to stop hiding behind the camera 🎥 and enjoy a sip of tequila with you on-camera from time to time! 😂 🌴 ☀️
It’s not a review. I say that clearly in the video. It’s a first impression and I hated the location and being next to an abandoned resort which felt unsafe. If you’ve been to resorts like Excellence, Sun palace , Le Blanc like I have you would understand why for what they are charging it’s not even close.
First I never feel like one night is enough to experience a places. Second other than price this resort and Grand Palance are completely different types of resorts. Just bc two things are similarly priced doesn’t mean they are similar. I wouldn’t compare a jeep and a motorcycle just bc they cost the same. The Grand is part of a huge complex and has waayyy more people. GFACB was not built as an AI. It was converted to one and was built as a luxury hotel. If she was comparing GFACB to beach palace that would make sense.
It sounds like maybe you wanted to share more but didn’t like whatever you felt about security… which I’m curious about but it sounds like you went easy on the review so you wouldn’t get hate but you’re still getting hate. Feeling secure is important for everyone, everywhere we go. Don’t blame you one bit for wanting to leave after two hours. If you don’t feel secure gtfo and if you’re only there for a short time, make the most of it and find a place you love!
Ok I’m been waiting to reply this video! I was there 7 days not few hours it was 7 days with the same price and that hotel is nothing less than Amazing the staff beautiful NOT UNDER STAFF the food Amazing The water in the ocean nothing less than amazing I when 2weeks after you post this video and I only have on mind what she was taking about feel unsecured never feel claustrophobic either so this review idk bc you definitely don’t know what you talking about I was 7 nights not few hours.
Awesome thank you for a better perspective! I’ve heard from others who were there for a week who didn’t like it and wouldn’t go back. It’s def a personal experience! Appreciate it!
Wow beach did not look good. Glad we went to fiesta Americana condesa. The beach was awesome with blue water. There were seaweeds but did not bother us.
Stayed 1 week and it was simply fantastic, so your review seems very strange. Only 2 hours in a place with such good comments in TA? Not even a visit to the outstanding spa? Unbelievable
No it was dated and food wasn’t good and next door was an abandoned resort that felt sake my and for $600 per night I could have been in luxury for less at Sun Palace
this review makes no sense. This resort is one of the nicest luxury family resorts cancun has to offer. There's a reason why its very high rated. If you complain about the resort, that means 99% of the other resorts are crap too? You're not doing anyone a favor making a review video after only being there for two hours, it actually quite the opposite in misinformation.
Have you been to other resorts? I said in the video that it wasn’t review. It was based on my personal preferences and the fact that we were at a luxury resort before that which was much nicer and cheaper.
This video is a great example of why working with an experienced and knowledgeable travel advisor is crucial when traveling to places like Cancun. There are so many excellent family friendly resorts in Cancun, and depending on your likes and priorities an advisor could have helped you avoid this resort. (And the RIU for that matter). So many nearby, one just down the road… Hyatt Ziva Finest Playa Mujeres Hotel Xcaret Nick Riviera Maya Grand Velas (Boujie) So many.
This is the most ridiculous review. Please dont take her word. Claustrophobic - What!? Stayed here in 2022 and absolutely loved it. We travel a lot and have stayed in high end and low end resorts. This place was superb. The only negative was that the decor was a bit dated. However, the cleanliness and superb service helped me overlook that. As for the beach, it's Cancun, what do you expect? There will be seaweed!
Thank you! Have you stayed at any other resort than this one? It’s crazy overpriced for what they offer. It’s literally in a corner next to an abandoned resort. So again that’s why I said if you’ve been there share your experience so thank you!!!
It is all in what YOU want. For me that beach would have been a deal breaker. I have been to the Fiesta Americana Condesa. That is way better for me. Notice I say .. for me. It is all in what you want in your vacation.
I only go to resorts that have over a 4.7 overall on tripadvisor, and 5 star. Unfortunately only way to ensure an amazing vacation these days. Im too oicky to go to these cheap resorts lol
I m just checking the fare is around $300. It seems you did not do your homework. And you were based on prejudices, we are in 2024 where there is social media that is free and takes just minutes. There are plently of reviews, and plenty of hotels to choose from. I booked hotels close to wall Street NY and then complained in 2008 . Well,as I said. It is 2024.
Thank you! I did say it was for one night stay which will always be more than 5 or more! We just stayed next door at the Hyatt and it blows this property away!!! Look at if you are looking here
Hi. I stayed at this FA for three nights last March. I have to say I agree with many of your opinions. This is an older hotel that is not worth the price I paid. There’s nothing to do after dinner. Food is average. With tons of new resorts at the Mayan Riviera I don’t see why anyone would stay here. I traveled with my two teenagers and they got bored everyday. Great staff though. I think I will try the Hilton Tulum next time.
We stayed here for 4 nights this last summer and didn't like it either! The food was not good and impossible to get reservations for decent times. The kids club was fun for the kids for a couple hours.
It was not for me! But def could be for someone else. When you’ve been to resorts like Le Blanc and Sun Palace and Playa Mujeres it just doesn’t compare for the price they charge. Very dark inside too feels like a Vegas hotel
Having stayed there I can tell you this resort is absolutely amazing. The staff was stellar, the food was great and I would gladly go back again.
Ty so much!!
Omg we loooooved this resort and can’t wait to go back ❤ sorry, your review doesn’t justify a bad review 😊
So glad to hear! Yes I made it clear in the video it wasn’t a review!! Have you been to any other resorts? I feel whenever I ask that no one answers lol. Because if you compare it to other resorts that are less you will understand

@@3Days3Noches We have been to the Paradisus and Hyatt Ziva Resorts. I didn't notice an abandoned resort.
I loved this resort. Will go back a third time.
Awesome have you been to any other resorts in Cancun. Wondering how it compares to
Just stayed here for 6 nights, last week of October.
Thank you so much for this! So happy you had a great time. Where else have you stayed? I would love to know if you had any comparisons!
Is there part of the beach at this resort that is for special clientele only and not just regular travelers?
We stayed here for a week over spring break this year. Loved it. We have two small kids and booked the family and friends package which has two connecting rooms for more space. We loved the pool and the beach and spent our time going back and forth between the two. The best part of the hotel (other than the amazing service from the staff) is the spa. I’d encourage you to give it another try. We already booked our next visit for next year.
Thank you so much!!! Have you been anywhere else? I think the problem is comparing it to other places maybe
Ong really??? Have you ever been to any other resorts?
Thank you for this review and all your other videos, my husband and i love watching them because we learn so much. I completely understand not getting a good vibe and having to leave. You do such a great job, please keep the videos coming ❤
Awww thank you so much!!! Thank you for watching and your comments mean a lot!!
This is our favorite resort in all of Cancun. We go every year and we found this to be the best resort.
Omggg so many people have said that lol.Thats why I always say what I lie maybe you won’t and vice versa lol
I think you are the problem.😮
I think you’re right 🤣🤣
I agree.
There is something wrong with that lady,
She did not impress me the way she was dressed either😅
@ramonsalinas5598 🤣🤣 it’s okay. I’m not here to impress I’m here to inform. I stayed next door at the Hyatt everything was on another level.
So true!!!
@@3Days3Noches Hi, We are not particular about either. For us most important is the quality the rooms and food.
Hyatt Ziva Cancun for sure then. The grand at Moon Palace is also pretty good but beach isn’t good and I feel like the last few years it has gone down. We always stay there and we always have fun, it’s not cheap but well worth it
First of all, even if you would have stayed there one night there is NO WAY you can get a real feel for a resort in that amount of time.
@@3Days3Noches Good points.
Omg that’s so interesting!!! Thank you!! And it’s true if the room isn’t nice the resort isn’t going to be good either usually lol
lol this be me
@davegriffith6409 😂
Stayed there for two weeks and had a completely different experience and impression, but to each their own.
Yes there were many who loved it. I think when you compare it to other resorts etc for the price it wasn’t adding up for me
@@3Days3Noches Just so you know we watched your videos religiously before traveling, they were a total help so thank you for everything you do! Especially with the landing / airport experience.
@antoniot1986 thank you so much!! Yes we always just share our experiences! In hopes that it might help others
I enjoyed my stay there, one of the biggest pools I’ve seen.
Nice!!
Looks perfectly fine fine for that price and with All Inclusive. I am sure they were relieved that you left.
Probably lol!! Actually I stayed next door and was 10x better lol
I've stayed at this hotel several times in the last 10 years or so with no complaits at all. It seems that instead you are quarreling because you are pissed off for not getting an upgrade that you so badly wanted.
They actually gave us an upgrade without asking! It was overpriced for what you get compared to the other resorts I have been to. IMO
Great points!!!!
I think you complained to get the free upgrades , just saying.
No they gave us the free upgrade first and then we left 🤣
what other all inclusive resort would you recommend then instead of this one since you mentioned for the price point there are much better ones
Next door Hyatt Ziva, Excellence Playa Mujeres, Sun Palace
@@3Days3NochesHi, I've been thinking about staying at Excellence Playa Mujeres but I know Finest is the sister Resort and some say the food is not good there, could the food at Excellence PM be bad like at Finest?
@SilviaHoard I liked the food at Excellence. Every All Inclusive resort is going to have inconsistent food!
@@3Days3Noches Thank You
First, NOT at the end of the hotel zone, it is right in the middle.
Thank you!
Ummmm I think it was you …. I’ve stayed twice and the resort and spa was amazing. Did you even see the spa ?
Did you watch the video?? I actually said that a few times that it was probably me. Have you been to Sun Palace Atelier Playa Mujeres or Grand at Moon Palace. Less money and way better and not cramped. That’s my comparison
I’m new to your channel. My husband and I are leaving for Cancun Friday, September 8th. We are staying at Ventus Marina El Cid Spa & Beach Resort. I would LOVE ANY feedback you or any of Your subscribers may have ( I think😂) I will share my review when we return😊

did I miss the part where you explained why you left after 2 hours? the beach? security? was that it? thanks
🤣🤣 The resort felt very cramped into a corner. The food wasn’t great in my opinion but only had a few meals. I went to the Sun Palace for less money per night and it’s so much nicer and updated and beach was better
You explain travel tips so well.!
Ty!!!
Just came back from this resort stayed 5days 4 nights and I honestly loved it
Awesome! Had you been to any other resorts previously?
@@3Days3Noches in Cancún Yes! I have been to Royalton Chic, Hyatt Ziva and Le blanc. By far Le blanc is the best resort I’ve been too , horrible experiences at Hyatt and Royalton for the price point, and for the deal we got at grand coral beach we had way better experiences than at those two . Service great, Room Great , pool area was great , buffet and room service was great! Only cons I had were beach is a little to thin for my liking, reservation restaurants were not that great
@chiva4life17 awesome thank you!!
Safe to assume you spoke to the manager
I love hearing that! That’s a resort we def need to check out!!!
I am eyeing Iberostar Selection Coral Level. It looks really nice for the price in the hotel zone.
@christinelinnea yes we are too!!
@@3Days3Noches I have a message out to my TA for May 1-6 of 2024 for my high school friend trip.
@christinelinnea awesome keep me updated
I had a very similar experience at Riu Palace Bavaro in punta Cana.. was booked for 5 nights and left after 16 hrs... It was an absolute dump, filthy, food was beyond inedible, watched them refill liquor bottles with God knows what...
Ugh!! I’ll def stay away from there too lol
Thanks for watching and great points
I stayed at a Fiesta Americana maybe 20+ years but I can’t remember if it was this one but at the time it was not an all inclusive.
The Beach alone would have caused me to leave not just because of the seaweed, but because it looked so cramped, and also like you my family and I have been to other resorts with similar or better prices with spectacular beaches.
I know and I thought I had done great research 🧐
The issue is, one day the beach can look like this and the next be clear. Also, the resort you stayed at last time that had zero seaweed, might have been covered in it the day you left.
Sargassum is seasonal and cyclical… it moves up and down the coastline and it is impossible to predict months in advance when you are planning to book.
Statistically some areas have less sargassum than others, playa Mujeres for example typically has less as does this resort and the resorts surrounding it. But there is ZERO guarantee.
@jpbarbian very true !!!
@will could You name a few Resorts You've liked please.
Thanks! 👍👍👍
Thanks so much for watching! I know I wasn’t there long enough to really review it but when you know you know lol
This is next to Hyatt Ziva. Water looks like diarrhea. When was this ?
It was at the end of June 😭
Todays update about Cancun is raining non stop but gorgeous beach color
Omg
I haven’t seen this color anywhere may be Miami side a bit but this is stunning
Various layers of blue n green
Yes one of my favorite things about that area!!!
Thank you so much! This is much better coming from someone who stayed there longer!
This is the best resort I’ve stayed in
Have you stayed at any other resorts?
Please visit and do a review for The Finest resort in Playa Mujeres. I believe this will be a family resort that you can highly recommend.
Okay thank you!!!
I Always Recommend Finest! It's our 2nd Home!❤
@figurinechamp6881 we loved Excellence so def need to check out Finest. What about for teens though?
Where is playa mujeres?
Thanks god i found ur video about this resort bc i am going to book this resort for Dec vacation i want to book this resort bc i see they have 4.7 /5 stars
Many people were loving it 🤷♀️
Try Wyndham alltra! Beautiful beach, great food, small resort so it’s friendly! I loved it!
Thanks. It’s funny someone in the comments is there and is hating it ??
I’ve wondered about some of the people leaving reviews on the food. I wonder what they are eating at home that is so much better than the food at the resorts. You hear horror stories about the food and we really enjoyed it. We ate at every restaurant there. We just got home 4 days ago.
Food is subjective. Folks who aren’t adventurous or typically go out to Applebees for their night out might think food at most AIs are good to great. But someone from a large city with an adventurous palette might find food at AIs to be underwhelming.
@jpbarbian this is so true. Thank you for the example. I’m always trying to put my finger on it!!
I totally agree with the comment that said "they think you are the problem.."
September 2024 will be my 9th stay at the Grand Fiesta Americana Coral Beach.....I would absolutely not consider staying anywhere else....All staff are kind, caring, and always exceeds expectations....concierge always going out of their way to accommodate any request.....The Executive Chef Sergio is amazing and you will never get a bad meal there....
Thank you!! I’ve heard it’s great!!
I'm surprised..
This place is amazing and highly recommended..
I was surprised too. I think because I’ve been to much nicer ones that don’t cost nearly as much
Thanks for the always honest reviews!
Thanks for watching!!!
Is no smoking ban really enforced? Or is it relaxed?
I think it depends on where you go
Stayed there for 5 days, wasn’t bad. One of the few hotels allowing family of 5 in one room. Beach was full of seaweed except north part which was okay. Food was average. Gave us free transportation to airport. I also didn’t like the dim lights ambience which doesn’t fit summer times.
We a planning another Cancun vacation and we are totally beach lovers, so thank you Blanche for another honest review, this place is good, just not for us😅
Ty for watching my videos 🥰
GFACB is amazing! One of the finest resorts around.
Have you been to other resorts?? Compared to others to me it’s not worth the price
@rbvan awesome
Have seen a TON of good reviews about this resort. This is the only negative video I've seen and only gave it 2 hours ?
Awesome input and def true. The price points are the same though so families looking for a certain price point may consider these two as an option
Also, the Grand at Moon Palace can get TERRIBLE sargassum. I guess the difference being, the beach is expansive.
Sounds like you like to travel during seaweed season
What other resorts have you been to
Don't listen to her. Been here it was great. FOOD WAS AMAZING
People seem to be 50/50 on this. But usually food is subjective so hard to review for others.
Good and Great
We need to know this😊
It sounds like maybe you wanted to share more but didn’t like whatever you felt about security… which I’m curious about but it sounds like you went easy on the review so you wouldn’t get hate but you’re still getting hate. Feeling secure is important for everyone, everywhere we go. Don’t blame you one bit for wanting to leave after two hours. If you don’t feel secure gtfo and if you’re only there for a short time, make the most of it and find a place you love!
Yes it was just a very weird location. When you know you know
Someone else complained that they felt like there was too much security here.
The security comment, why did you not feel safe? I don’t understand your assumption that it’s not safe if you were only there a couple hours…
The location was on a weird peninsula and in a corner. It felt claustrophobic to me
Ok I’m been waiting to reply this video!
So
Glad you enjoyed it!!! Have you been to any other resorts?
so because there was seaweed and u didn’t feel safe is why u don’t like it ?😂 what made you not feel safe ?
No it was dated and food wasn’t good and next door was an abandoned resort that felt sake my and for $600 per night I could have been in luxury for less at Sun Palace
0:36 I believe there's only one Grand Fiesta Americana in Cancun, the other one isn't Grand
Thank you!!!
My favorite resort!!!
Really??? Have you been to other resorts?? I didn’t like it at all
Not one comment saying anything negative about this resort
In the video I explain that this was my experience and just vlogged about it
Which resort do you recommend in Mexico that has a beautiful beach/water, amazing food, and big pools?
Hi!! It totally depends on budget and when you want to go! You can email me at 3days3noches@gmail.com
Having been to so many resorts, which family resort was your favorite?? This is so hard lol
I know!! I actually haven’t found a favorite but I think Hyatt Cancun is nice
this review makes no sense.
So many nearby, one just down the road…
Hyatt Ziva
Finest Playa Mujeres
Hotel Xcaret
Nick Riviera Maya
Grand Velas (Boujie)
So many.
Thank you!!
@@3Days3Nocheswhat would you say Are the best 3 all incl. Hotels in Cancun?
@finnd depends on budget. Le Blanc is ranked #1. Then Live Aqua
It is all in what YOU want. For me that beach would have been a deal breaker. I have been to the Fiesta Americana Condesa. That is way better for me. Notice I say .. for me. It is all in what you want in your vacation.
Yes! I always say that in my videos
I only go to resorts that have over a 4.7 overall on tripadvisor, and 5 star.
Unfortunately only way to ensure an amazing vacation these days.
Im too oicky to go to these cheap resorts lol
This one actually has great reviews too 🤷♀️
What’s the point of? And? What …
I though first you were going to be be a bit of a Karen but I actually understand where you are coming from
🤣🤣🤣🫠🫠
I m just checking the fare is around $300. It seems you did not do your homework. And you were based on prejudices, we are in 2024 where there is social media that is free and takes just minutes. There are plently of reviews, and plenty of hotels to choose from. I booked hotels close to wall Street NY and then complained in 2008 . Well,as I said. It is 2024.
Thank you! I did say it was for one night stay which will always be more than 5 or more! We just stayed next door at the Hyatt and it blows this property away!!! Look at if you are looking here
Bottom line. If you didn’t like it you didn’t like it. Your money your choice. I have felt the same way about resorts
True!!!
Only bad thing was the throw up in the Hallway
Yuck lol
Thanks for the added experience!! Everyone says Hyatt Ziva is amazing next door!
Well it always happens. Happened to me as well in cancun at excellent Playa. 😢
Yes you’re right!! But did you pay that much?? 🥺
And that water is horrible for being that far north Moon Palace nitzu has better water
@garsocks seriously!!!!
@3Days3Noches me and my wife paid 550 per night...
The worst part about it was they didn't have butter but had margarine.... what the f
Sometimes, You got to lay it on the line.....
True!
We stayed here for 4 nights this last summer and didn't like it either! The food was not good and impossible to get reservations for decent times. The kids club was fun for the kids for a couple hours.
Thank you for sharing your experience!!!
looks like a shopping mall
Okay it’s not just me lol
"Karen" with a passport !
🤣🤣. Why is that any woman with an opinion is called a Karen?!
@@3Days3Noches I only call Karens Karen !
6 minutes in: is that Machine Gun Kelly? 🤣
Omg someone said the same 🤣
Have you never stayed at club med ?!??!??! Wow. You will never ever go anywhere else once you do
Not yet but I can only imagine and it’s probably not that much more than this place
Literally heaven on earth. Club meds are all over the world. You’ll never stay anywhere else after you try it just once.
I’ve stayed here without a problem 🤷🏽♂️🤷🏽♂️🤷🏽♂️
Awesome!
Went to all ritmo in Cancun. Not safe and a waste of money. Bags stolen in the hotel!
Ugh!!! Sorry that happened
Not a reliable review.
It’s not a review. I clearly state that in the video
You and your reviews are ridiculous
Ty!!!!
You complained too much
You got an upgrade..
You don't deserve it.
You’re right lol!!!
This resort is amazing. Ignore this video!
It was not for me! But def could be for someone else. When you’ve been to resorts like Le Blanc and Sun Palace and Playa Mujeres it just doesn’t compare for the price they charge. Very dark inside too feels like a Vegas hotel
Nonsense
