Her dance, her hair, her outfit, her beauty, her personality, the drummer, and their outfits it was a mood. A perfect mood.
As a bellydancer AND salsa dancer I am completely in love with this, Is so difficult and she's Gorgeous and making it look like is nothing what a Queen
Haha luv ur pfp
I wish that I could belly dance & salsa dance. So beautiful! I have always wanted to belly dance since I was a little girl.
I know, it looks easy but it's so hard for me as a first-timer. It's super fun!
Pole DanceFitness newbie here…..
Shakira: my hips don’t lie
Tahitian dancer: hold my headpiece.
😂😂😂😂😂🎯💖
Olga Montenegro funnneeeee and so true 😆
Exactly!!!
I cracked up yow 😂😂😂
So funny
Nobody here going to take about her natural hair like damn it's pretty
I doubt it. That's not the STANDARD Hawaiian texture...you KNOW mfs HATE on that --ALL the time. . It SPEAKS VOLUMES TO ME THOUGH!
MU HAIR IS LIKE HERS 😭😭😭😭 HATE IT
@@paigewhite1251 not Hawaï. Tahiti
Its her natural hair, dancers always braid their hair for shows and competition
Nah a lot of headdresses have hair attached to them so it's impossible to know
To be doing all those moves non-stop requires heaps of stamina and core strength as well. I like that her moves tell a story behind the culture and have a deeper meaning than just dancing. Love every bit of it. 🥰
What story and meaning did it tell? Legit asking. Never seen a dance that ever successfully told one without being vague outside contemporary.
I'm not sure exactly what the moves mean ... but it did seem that she was conveying a story, likely about village (?) life ... maybe daily tasks or something along the lines of catctching/preparing fish/meals ... and showing gratefulness for it 🤷🏻♀️
I only watched it once but that's what I got from it.
Proud of all my Polynesian Islanders. Represent our heritage and culture.
What's the name of the dance?
@@pamelakimathi6703 ori tahiti
I’m three years late to this but YAY, someone else with my name dances Ori Tahiti (though she’s considerably better than I am)
Love the hair!
Love the skin!
Love the power in the muscles!
Love the moves!
Love the music!
Love the talent!
Beautiful culture!
Seriously one of the most beautiful and talented ori tahiti dancers. What a graceful and strong performance! She made it look incredibly easy and looked like she was enjoying her time on stage. Kept that smile from start to finish, great job Kanani!
Tahitian women have the best hair! It’s so thick, course and long!!!! 💕 her skin is golden!!!
Lana's Daydream
The girl dancing is Samoan...her last name is a dead give away especially since that is my mother’s last name.
Indian hair is the best
Alia Alia her hair is NOT coarse , it’s braided into many braids and then poofed out to give it a Melanesian aka black look because the indigenous people of the Pacific Islands ARE BLACK Melanesians!!!! , white scientists always use Polynesians as a scapegoat but Polynesian is not a race is an ethic group of the austronesian groups and guess what ethic group is also in the austronesian group!!!! You guessed it MELANESIANS!!!! The ppl there today are mixed mutts with mostly White and asian blood , don’t be fooled
@@Chowanoc222 you're doing too fucking much
Actually, Pacific island girls in general have great, beautiful, thick hair, even men too.
Thank you random RUclips algorithm! That was AMAZING!
Everything about Kanani is FABULOUS! She SLAYED that dance and her hair is gorgeous!
Now I want to take an online Tahitian dance class! I want to understand the significance of her hand movements and the story she was telling.
I am fully in awe of this skill!
The power of her abdominal and quads is amazing! Definitely see is a goddess!
That was her PELVIS. HIP ROLLING action. Your ABS don't have much to do with that, besides looking Great while you work your HIPS.😂 she had a lil leg action but...that's called HIP CONTROL!
@@paigewhite1251 you don't know what you're talkin about! You obviously have never done any weightlifting training, Yoga, or dance classes. Her abs are definitely engaged! Her core is engaged, and if the core is engaged, so is are the ABS. Her I T bands and the piriformis muscle is also engaged. When you're standing erect your abs are engaged. When you're sitting and you stand up your core is engaged and your abs and your quads ETC
@@Bearwoman11 😬😌I've actually been IN dance from 9 th grade through my 2 nd year of college. But according to YOUR theory, people without "and" or those with pot bellys___ CAN'T Do Hawaiian dance.😳😌😂😂👍✌
Paige White you’ve danced yet don’t realize that your core is engaged? Either you were a horrible dancer or you’re lying lol
@@MegumiCiBear neither....Now, either YOU are a #DUMMY or a #NITWIT..🆗👍
I'm saying that one DOESNT necessarily_ NEED a STRONG (or above average) "CORE" to do THIS DANCE. Its not SIT UPS!
IF you DONT have a STRONG core , yet DO have what SOME would consider "NORMAL GOD GIVEN #Rythtm," then you ABSOLUTELY_Can pull off the same effect...with a REGULAR CORE strength. LERCH.
"YOU," on the other hand, are just amazed by what is NORMAL to others. "YOU" Probably WOULD actually REQUIRE a STRONG core, EXTRA EFFORTS, PRACTICE, lots of Determination, & HARD WORK to pull THIS off.😂😂
IM SAYING That Its VERY NATURAL to others & DOES NOT "REQUIRE" an above average "Core." .......I'm saying that you're ass is simply _SLOW.🆗😂.
Now Bye 😘✌
The ultimate belly hips and thighs workout!
Thank you!
Definitely! I wonder how many calories you would burn after 10 minutes 😂
Glutes too
@@magnoliaholmes5422 alot u burn alot ik from experience
She's soooo gorgeous and talented...so fun to see a dancer who really can't hide her enthusiasm...and love her billowing hair....her headdress compliments it perfectly
She is absolutely stunning and SO talented. I love to see nations’ traditional dances.
I'm so proud of my cousin!!!😊
Me: I'm going to try this.......
Me: grabs my bag of doritos...sits down to watch the rest of the video
Crunch crunch crunch crunch
I can’t explain why but I too am eating Doritos while watching and claiming to try. 🤣

Some things I don't even have to attempt to know it will be a disaster. 🤣🤣
LmfaoooOoooo 😩 🤣🤣🤣
That's hilarious 😂
Magnifique danseuse, déhanchement tout en légèreté, pas de vulgarité, que de la grâce... j'adore !!!🤗😘👏🏅un grand bonjour de France
She is amazing, even when my hips back and knees where good I could never have done this, a pleasure to watch such talent in action, Bravo!!!
The drummers look like they have so much fun. They play insanely fast.
They trying to keep up with her
Very humble beautiful young lady.....love her hair, her smile and the way she danced.....amazing choreography too.
Now that's one reason why I'm proud to be from the Pacific. Our culture just beautiful
Unless you're Maohi it's not your culture lol.

❤ as a South African, you sure have a great reason to be proud of your beautiful dancers. I'm absolutely in love with these dancers, and I'm a 64 year old granny. ❤
One thing that has always stuck in my mind was the dancing at the Polynesian Cultural Centre in Hawaii. Such an amazing experience for this Aussie dancer. It's been 20 years and I remember like yesterday. Just stunning
Not only beautiful, but the athleticism and talent is off the charts!!!
So many different kinds of dances all over the world. ❤️ Beautiful!
Dissociation between hips and shoulders! She is next level ! nothing moves from head to chest level except her smile
When people look at the hips, I look at the legs and feet. Great performance.
She is absolutely stunning! Beautiful dance❤💐
Yaaaaassss🔥🔥🔥
The glory of a woman hunny 💗💗💗 she’s amazing!!
All of them are SO GOOD, dancer and drummers, a perfect group !
I ran across this again. it Is truly magical . This girl is beautiful beyond words. Her routine , the music and her smile are so captivating. I found myself clapping at the end. Thank you for sharing this
Great body control while squatting on toes, and exceptionally well-thought out choreography.
Alan Foster I think she’s a hell of a lot better than that Moena Mouati or whatever the hell her name is....says she’s Tahitian yet looks like she’s from Germany! I don’t know why they overlook great dancers for her oh wait yeah I know, she’s more white looking and the other dancers are brown🙄figures!
Hmm...looks pretty Polynesian to me. But in re your comment:
When I lived in Tahiti way back in 1973, the solo dancer winner during the Bastille Day competition was from Rarotonga. She couldn't speak either Tahitian or French...pissed a few people off that she won. @@fionaokeefe1906
Alan Foster if the girl was Moena that won I can see why people were pissed! Moena looks more Irish than I do🥺
Jason Quiambao what about the brown girls of French Polynesia? Where’s the love for them? Are they not beautiful and expressive and talented and artistic? Not all good things come in white! There’s beauty in color as well!
@@fionaokeefe1906 Umm..just wanted to say. Tahitians are French Polynesians. They can be REALLY fair skinned and light haired. "European" looking.
Wow she shows beauty not in her looks, but her passion in her dancing and honoring her culture with her amazing moves,Brava to you and man you've earned it.
She's not Tahitian so not her culture. And did you just call her appearance ugly?!
SO BEAUTIFUL! As am aware, the dance itself tells a story, I love how engaged she was thru out. Now I want to learn the story! So drawn in, thanks for posting
The cheering is giving me goosebumps; she's such an elegant dancer.
She is gifted...
Its not easy dancing her dance.
And her hair is stunning
It must take her childhood plus her entire adolescence to perfect this dance. Magnificent!💋
Yupher family runs their own dance school in CA.They have taught generations of dancers.
That was Good!!!! Made me happy to be a woman !!!
Beautiful culture, beautiful people!
She is so gracefull. Really amazing.
not only practice but the dance of customs..truly unique in all aspects of the tradition...very well executed 😐😐😐
What a beautiful girl her moves, perfectly done she deserves a championship 🏆 crown.
incredible performance. also i love how at the end the musicians in the back smiled at each other; everyone was enjoying themselves and it's so infectious!

Always thought it crazy how different cultures have very similar dances.
She must have that skirt glued on!!!
tiredmummy it’s just a well tied knot
tiredmummy it’s not even a skirt, but a pareo. Some even use tape. It’s not brain science. Just tie it properly🙄🤦♂️
I love taking Tahitian dance classes and dang look at her go! 😍

They say that the best performers can tell a story through their movements and i can definitely feel the flow of the ocean pull back and forth as I watch the dancing. Keep it up ❤
Anyone worried her skirt was going to come flying off!??? Lol
No bc normally it stays on till you remove it how do I know bc have a « skirt »(it’s not a skirt bc the thing she has is a tahitien parioh*dont know how to spell it*)like that
