I started working at a golf course recently since it was an easy low stress job, and started playing golf because of it. I've had a set of clubs I got second hand for about 2 months now and am genuinely really enjoying it! I've gotten to a point where I feel consistently not awful enough to get more in-depth with my learning and your channel has been perfect for it! I also love the positive attitude, I haven't played much but even I know getting mad will only hurt your performance!
Donal this video is incredibly informative thank you! Really enjoyed this series you’ve done this summer. I will play this video back before every round I think. I played an awful round on Monday but on one of the holes i landed in a fairway bunker similar to the one you were in and I took a moment, put the SW back in the bag and opted for the 3 hybrid. The ball cleared the bunker, stayed nice and low and carried on up to the green for a par putt. For a beginner I was delighted. It’s moves like that you’ll never forget. As bad as the round was there’s always something to take away 👍🏻
Great bit of advice for anyone getting into golf! You did a great job explaining things in simple terms to help those who aren’t nearly as experienced as most other golf channels assume everyone is.
Fantastic video a real golfer spending time in real-time situations no drivel, choice of clubs clearly outlined and used in every situation and in conditions lots of us really play in .More of the same please.Great.
Fair play found the segment on the bottom of the tree lie really useful and gave some decent out of the box options to consider! This video has made me subscribe
Loved this video. I’m a beginner and sometimes want to play the hero shot but without the skill I end up blowing my score! This has given me options for some of those tricky shots thank you
9:06 whatever your favorite wedge to use is, just get an extra in lefty. Not only will you hit better, you'll find it's more and more comfortable each time you use it. It may only be used for an odd shot like that, but it'll save your round more likely than flip a club or hope it's in a good enough position to clear it.
Great video sir. I’ve just got into golf for the first time I currently don’t have a decent wedge for lob shots. I’ve had a look online and it’s very confusing with the bounce and the loft. Able to help me out?
Play those bad shots off the tee and it will teach you real quick what clubs to use and when.......also walk the course and you will think of every shot you take before hitting it.
Great video, I'm no beginner but no expert either, recently with my 52 and 58 degree wedges I've been mishitting it off to the right and I've no idea really why I've started doing it, face to open and thinning the ball a bit maybe.. lack of focus and looking up before hitting the ball or something? Any udeas? Thanks v much in advance!
When that started happening to me, it was because I was too close and extending my arms at contact so it came off the heel/hosel. Yep, them was shanks...
f that wet sand bs. if i play and the saind is like concrete like that, im pulling it out and hitting from the rough. give me a stroke if you want but playing out of that just cuz it rained or hasnt been raked in a year is not my problem.
hi garryi am going for a cup ofcoffee and watch theian poulter match play james i was messaging garry fromhuddersfield whoteaches and i asked himtohave a gameagainest youas idlove towatchyouplay there will be alot watching youtobelive me james thanks james cheers carl
Most beginner sets come with a sand wedge (labelled as "S"), which is typically lofted around 55 degrees. Even if you don't think you have a 56, you probably do...
Finally! A video where they don’t talk for 8 minutes before actually glossing over and showing you the mechanics and shots.

Turn your wrist about 3 feet before contact with the ball

This was edited at 2.41 for the 7 iron to use as a putter. Only made her half way then edited it to put the ball by the whole! Love it
Every golf tutorial I've watched is always a Irish or Scottish guy

had to move on, wasnt enough sound
please please stop telling golfers to hit the 56 58 or 60 degree wedge just use the 54 its a much better play for average golfers....
no reason for average golfer to have a 56 58 or 60 degree wedge in the bag stick to the 54 degree wedge....
Most beginner sets come with a sand wedge (labelled as "S"), which is typically lofted around 55 degrees. Even if you don't think you have a 56, you probably do...
