I was lucky enough to buy Hanks book “Love Kills” directly from Hank a few years ago. What a interesting read. I wanted to interview Hank so bad on one of my travels out West I was going on in the summer of 2020, but we all know how everything was messed up in 2020. Unfortunately I still haven’t rebooted life since then and Hank has passed. RIP Hank I pray that one day justice and the truth will prevail for everyone who gained all the positive things Kurt stood for in his brief but highly productive life.

I met Hank in 1984. He was a cool dude and I enjoyed hanging out at his house in Menlo Park and listening to his stories. I considered him a friend and I’m saddened to hear of his passing. RIP Hank Harrison

He admitted to me when I asked him that he doctored Garcia's painting's and sold them as originals. When I asked him in Gault if he would trade a couple of Vics for a quarter of green, he said he would give me one for the trade and grabbed my green and threw it across the room when I told him 1 was bs. Then Bear came in wondered what was going on, Hank coward down and said Mike and I are just having conversation. I just shook my head and walked out, then when he spoke about Courtney and Kurt, I said I wasn't into Nirvana again he yelled at me saying what the hell do I know about his son? Jo told me Hank never even met Kurt. Hank's someone I put in my rearview mirror and don't want to think of again. If you liked him, cool, I don't think Courtney or the Bean girl ever did.

We got back at that Menlo street park house after Hank told us to leave for a few days, we went up into the attic where our beds were and Courtney was asleep in Jo's bed and offered to sleep with him but Jo had a beautiful girlfriend and told her no he wasn't going to do that to his girl. She looked at me I told her I was tired and had been in BIg Sur sleeping on the beach for the past 3 days but I said if she wanted to crash in my bed we both could sleep on it. So, that's what happened she crashed and I crashed and in the morning Hank told us to do some yard work, Courtney just left and that's the only time I ever saw her.

We have all made mistakes with our immediate family at times. Hank's mistake is forgivable, as are Courtney's mistakes. Yea, he's passed but the people praising him didn't know him but I did on 3 occasions i lived with him in Menlo, Sac and Gault each time shorter then the time before. My best friend Jo was always dependent on Hank and had to live with him or by him. Can you say conman, envy. You're right he always talked smack about Courtney, especially after she made it. I had enough and never saw him again or cared. He tried to email me years later but I ignored him. Hank played the same rip off game with just about any person he could. I just was intrigued with his association with all those musicians, artists, poets and intellectuals but most of them didn't care for him either he had very little in the way of concrete creativity or talent other then those unauthorized non fiction dead books. Those guys that's what they were all about creating really cool music, books, movies Kesey, Garcia, Ferlinghetti, Crosby, Lesh, Kantner. However, out of all possibilities his very own daughter married a man that started a whole new musical movement, but Hank abandoned her and bad mouthed her years before. I met her once in Menlo Park in 81' she said she could careless about all those musicians and poets and intellectuals I was talking about when I asked if she knew them and could take me to meet some of them, she said no. Courtney's 6 month's older then me she was really street smart and witty but wild at that time. We got back at that Menlo street park house after Hank told us to leave for a few days, we went up into the attic where our beds were and Courtney was asleep in Jo's bed and offered to sleep with him but Jo had a beautiful girlfriend and told her no he wasn't going to do that to his girl. She looked at me I told her I was tired and had been in BIg Sur sleeping on the beach for the past 3 days but I said if she wanted to crash in my bed we both could sleep on it. So, that's what happened she crashed and I crashed and in the morning Hank told us to do some yard work, Courtney just left and that's the only time I ever saw her.

Frank did make a mistake writing that book I do think yes, however Courtney also made mistakes (Frances was hurt by some of Courtney's actions then too) with raising Frances though at some point. We have all made mistakes with our immediate family at times. Hank's mistake is forgivable, as are Courtney's mistakes.

@@lolaireicapes6947 No I don't really care to prove anything, I lived with Hank on 3 occasions when I first met him at that Menlo Park house then in Sac, then on that horse farm in Gault, he trashed every house he lived in anyway but we first stayed in that loft climbing the ladder in that Menlo Park Victorian, I was 16 and thought ok, Jo gave us a place to stay for a while cause Hank (although living with his Irish girlfriend Trina was also dating Jo's sister Judy) and always had his pit bulls around but he took us to meet Phil and Graham and then met up with Crosby the next night in Sausalito at some house, which I thought cool I'm meeting some major rock stars, I smoked some of Crosby's bud and he and Nash sang wind on the water I almost pissed my pants, they were so good and Graham was such a cool English guy. The next day Hank took us to score a huge sack of green he told me to open this burlap sack and Hank stuffed about 10 pd in there from some guy with a bunch of PC's some IT brainiac. Then we ate at TaiTai in China town, except Tim and I walked out for a smoke and got lost and finally made it back to the restaurant of course Hank and Trina ate everything he bitched at us and said to bad you guys are just gonna have to go hungry. Then he drove like a manic around San Fran and back to Menlo Park.
