I don't necessarily HATE the Dan Quinn hire. Remember Dallas' defense was AWFUL before he came and turned it around. Washington has Cap Space and the draft capital to rebuild that side. I think they can go from the 30th best, to maybe 14th to 15th in this first year.

I think it’s more from the developing offense standpoint. Since they’re trying to improve their offense and get a QB. Defensive coaches aren’t known for developing QBs.

That Falcons Super Bowl appearance was a product of Kyle Shanahan's offense; the defense on those Quinn-Falcons teams were never better than mediocre. I mean, you had TV announcers openly calling those defenses terrible. Yes, Quinn proved in Dallas he could build an elite defense ( you can't credit him with "building" the LoB bc he inherited it), but as a coordinator, when that's his only focus. Maybe he's learned from Atlanta and knows what to do better; time will tell. But he gave people plenty of reason his first go around to be skeptical about him getting another HC job.
Tepper is still a nut job but I'm hopeful he's learning from his mistakes and the Canales hire is step 1, especially with his chemistry with Dan Morgan and now hiring Tilis as well. Panthers are making the right moves. (So far)

Canales got the best out a lot of mid QBs. He's definitely a QB whisperer if nothing else. I would switch Quinn and mayo. At least Quinn has a pedigree and will put together something with at least base level competency.

Rate the best positions in free agency by talent available both in quality and quantity? To me it looks like edge rushers, running backs and wide receivers are the beat positions and Pats can use all of those. If the Pats are able to sign a RB like Barkley or Eckler and a WR like Ridley or Higgins, they can then use their first 3 picks for QB, LT and WR. Imagine the offense with Barkley/Steveson RB, Ridley, Douglas and Legette WR and Daniels QB. With a half decent OL, they could go from last in a scoring to around 17th. If the offense stays on field longer, the defense could be stronger this year and 7-9 wins is not out of the realm of possibility. We know this won’t be a one year fix.

Nope! Too small (average HS 5-11 190lbs - Serena 5-9 180), too slow (average HS 100m 11.4 seconds - Serena 12.1) and no skills that ideally transfer from tennis. Venus is worse. Those raw statistics make them below national average and if they played for a 4A school they would not make it past the first round of cuts. 4A 6-1 218lbs 11.1 100m average. Remember those weights include smaller positions like WR, K etc and the 100m times include O linemen. It's quite possible that no woman ever would make a 4A high school team.

Quinn has the opportunity to get the best QB of the changes and none of the teams would be changing coach if QB was as good as the best available to Quinn this year, they could bring in one of the 49ers game planners in as OC. He is late coordinator and if he gets a passing grade should upgrade OC after next year's firings or the GM should force that. I think the bad teams (Patriots, Raiders) promoted from within are going to fail, the Patriots may succeed if they hit on the QB and if they go Harrison, they also need a line and Jones or someone close to his level will not deliver. Morris has no QB and I doubt they take a QB unless the 3rd falls to them, they may go later round, his background, the team's talent, need for a top 5 pick for a QB, makes him look tank coach, a rich white owner giving the middle finger to the NFL rule, Texans last year, Miami. Harbaugh is #1 because he is competitive as a head coach and you actually have that data, and he is the only one with a QB. The Bears without changes may be closer to having a QB than the Panthers, that is up in the air and the Seahawks have to be lucky or bad to find a QB like all the other teams not drafting a top 3 QB. Team and coach, I don't think the Panthers are that high on next year's success, but given expectations for that ownership it is a lot higher than success expectations. Giving a grade in 5 years, you have to win and in the last 4 years to be a B or C, the Panthers is a bigger lift, is probably dependent on guys who are not on the team being the worst NFL team.
