If you close your eyes this actually sounds (very nearly) like a real performance, at least until 1:24 when the pseudo-square wave/clarinet kicks in. THE POWER OF FREQUENCY MODULATION!
i forget what the datasheet claims the patch that comes in at 2:23 is supposed to be, but i can tell you it's got the yamaha taste i crave, at a price i can afford

While the SID version is what was used in Nelly's "Do It", the original is actually an Amiga MOD. I don't think it was tracked in AHX, but the results are similar.
