My Irish gran raised me on an old, unabridged Grimm's fairy tales & all the Andrew Lang books as well her own stories. I am going to have to give it multiple listens to catch all the references. Very unique and interesting. Also, your French was understandable and not painfully awful. you did well, really.

The Irish were great for telling stories. My Irish parents told me of people who used to travel from house to house telling stories in the days before tv and radio.
That is true and thank God we still have great story tellers.
