Very poor demonstration. The front Jaws are for cutting the outer conductor sleeve to expose the conductor or to strip off the outer sheath to expose the inner insulation. The back Jaws are for cutting the cable in two. You don't need to use both Jaws in two separate movements for that.

When you try to cut from the inner jaw without pre-cutting with the outer jaws, you get very little leverage because the handles are to spread out. this method eliminates that problem, also helps the inner jaws longevity.
