I'm a MOJO guy through and through. Their customer service has been unparalleled. Lucky Duck pole mount is a little better but I side with the original innovator. Keep up the great videos my friend!
My experience with Lucky is they are one of the few standup companies left that doesn’t make the customer jump through hoops if there is an issue with the product. Interesting about the wing size compared to Mojo. I’ve always heard the talk about spinning wing decoys flairing birds, but never experienced it myself. I’ve had two dozen plus mallards finish right over the Lucky spinner multiple times, even late season. Maybe the more subtle wings of the Lucky help with that. It will be interesting to see what you find running both.
Mojo and lucky both have backpacks for carrying multiple spinners... will be interesting to see how they hold up for ya. I've only owned Mojo, but a buddy got some Avian X spinners... my issues with mojo is the simple stuff... switches failures, etc.. Avian X are super nice but $$$
I have a Lucky Duck spinner and I really like it. Never had any issue with wings falling off. I love the remote. Mine is an older version so it's on the AA batteries but it works great for me. Blessings
Everyone I’ve hunted with has always used mojos so 4 seasons ago I picked up a lucky duck and haven’t had any problems since. I haven’t used it in any high wind though. I also got the lucky duck swimmer and agitator this year and looking forward to seeing how they work out.
I have multiple models of lucky ducks and love them all. Have had my oldest one for 4 seasons and runs just as good as day 1. Hunted multiple days of 35+ winds and worked like a charm.
@@ChasingGreen I believe you'll be very happy with your lucky duck. I have the verison 1 step down and absolutely love it. It's my every hunt partner besides my dog
I have 3 kings and have had since they came out. I’ve never had one break where yours did. I also switched over to the lithium batteries. Wayyyyy lighter weight. I had one fall over and it was spinning under water 😂😂
Yeah i run the lithiums as well. I wish they would fix the whole mounting system. The pole suck too. Ive had 2 and both broke within a week were you latch the pole to the spinner. Did any of yours break? Im talking about the little lever on top of the pole
I run nothing but Lucky HDi spinners and they’ve been incredible. Never had an issue in big winds either. Plus the 3 channel remotes allow me to run all 3 of my different type of motion decoys separately. I personally will never go back to Mojo as I had the same issue as you did on numerous spinners. No thanks.
I have been using mojos for many many years after so many issues with them I broke down and bought two lucky ducks this year and am very happy with them. The weight of those king mallards is ridiculous
One of the best features for the lucky is that you can sync all your spinners to one remote. Also run continuous or on a timer. I ran Mojo for years and my experience is that Lucky did everything that a Mojo couldn’t. Hope this helps
I have the lucky duck. It’s maybe 6 or 7 years old now. Been dumped multiple times in the drink. Keeps going. One time fell in water the wing broke. I emailed lucky and they sent me a new set. I have heard 5 people with avian x spinner having issues and the company not good to deal with at all. Lucky duck definitely has good customer service.
I have my original lucky duck has 13 seasons on it wings are stuck in it only things I’ve done it rebuild the poll mount and new battery I have a standard mojo it works but I can’t deny 13 years on my lucky
@@mikewittenburg6280 lol my dad has one of the original spinning wings I can’t even tell you what brand it is I wanna guess lucky duck. It borderline catches on fire every time it’s used, sounds like a freight train, and on a homemade stake but it still manages to pull in birds
We got 4 lucky spinners all been in the drink multiple times like probably a dz per lol fried everything. They just send me the parts and I fix em. We also got 4 agitators. Once again, switches have broke they send em I replaced..they work. Is it me? I'm hard on my stuff like real hard. Customer service is 💯 imo. We just got an avian one will see once it goes in the drink 10 times lol
I should add our poles are the same except the no foot peg , that's y they fall over. The poles provide were only 3 sections we added more to hunt our typical 3-5' water
I have had both no problems with either or… only problem I have had is lucky ducks batteries suck have to buy new ones every single year. Mojos batteries last for seasons
I own all of them, the avian is the best so far. Mojos don't last like the use to. I do still have the original Mojo, as well as the elite and king mallards.
Hello Sir, I did not see a video which says how did the Lucky Duck do in the field. I have always used Mojo Kings and the baby mojo’s depending if I am hunting alone or with my daughters. I am 66 years old so weigh does matter Best regards Sikander
Need an update, we are looking to replace my old lucky ducks. They have done great, unless theres a big difference, i will probably buy lucky duck again.
Not a major difference. I personally like the mojos better because they have more flash and a stronger, faster motor. But its splitting hairs. I like a lot of things about the lucky as well
Lmao if you make your living off of duck hunting and only have one spinner, that’s Your first problem. Always and I mean ALWAYS MAKE SURE you have a backup spinner. They’re not they expensive on the cheaper models to not have a backup. The cheaper AAA model lucky duck Can be got for $60-75 dollars on most days. With that said, I used to be a big mojo guy, but the last 5-6 years I’ve run Lucky ducks. Being a walk in hunter with a bad back, I look for the lightest version: that’s usually the lucky duck that runs on AA batteries. And it can still be hooked up to a remote. Also like the lucky teal version cuz it can be hooked up to a remote as well, and it’s as light as a feather. Also, I’ve run both the lucky mallard & teal in 50mph and they’ve done fine: also, I like the teal spinner prob the best because those ducks are just looking for that motion, they won’t flair off of a teal ever usually. They love it; and the smaller look than a mallard (what they’re used to seeing up and down the flyway) gives them a diff look and still gives you that motion that the ducks are drawln too. Long short answer is the Lucky Duck run on AA (for reduced weight) on a remote. Light and easy to run and can keep 4AA in your blind bag with no extra weight for whenever your battery gets low 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
Nice, wish i had money for multiple spinners. If you seen the chasing green budget youd know why i only have one. When i said making a living, i didnt say an extraordinary one lol. I have to put all and i do mean ALL my funds to traveling. Id rather get where the ducks are and then worry about how im going to get em once i get there. But good advice on the lightweight spinner and teal tip
Mojo costumer service is the worst. Sent mine to Mojo twice and they didn’t fix a thing. They even took my battery and wouldn’t replace it. Wont buy another mojo product again.
On that Mojo, could you fill that void with a hot glue gun to give it a little more back bone and possibly relieve some of the stress at that point? That’s about the easiest way I can think of to make it solid.
I bought a Mojo . It came with a broken wing. Called the company because i didnt want to send back the whole thing because of 1 bad wing. Big mistake their customer service is shit. 3 out of the 4 guys i hunt with have a mojo product that quit working and they didnt stand behind any of their stuff. I will never buy another Mojo product again. If they would have said they were not going to send me a new wing i could have returned it but they promised me they would send a wing and never did. Mojo is Garbage
Bought the lucky duck spinner... charged it fully and does not work. Removed the battery and the clip came off in my hand . I can't believe a company charges that much money for such junk. WARNING !!! Do not waste your money ..opener is in 2 days and I got a paper weight . FU,,,LUCKY DUCK

Lucky pole and bag are great!! Usually run both, sometimes I think the different "flashes" help...sometimes not!!! Lol

Yeah im excited to see how they each affect the ducks

My lucky duck jr wont spin when the wind gusts higher than 18mph. Thats not that high of a wind imo.

Thats insane. 13 years is incredible. You should definitely hang that on the wall or something of the man cave when it does finally give out

NEED AN UPDATE!!!! Do wing size make a difference????
I use both and they are doing just fine.
Used to hunt mojos, now all we use is lucky hds and avian spinners. Id say the lucky ducks are preferred over both the mojo and the avian

Just look at a lucky vs a mojo, lucky is way tougher and better built, poles are better wings are better. I've had both
Nice, thanks for the input
How much price broo
That broken piece happened to me on a mojo.
Avian x power mallard it has a better wing design in my opinion
Thanks
Sir. Can U please say What is that light weight green jacket called that U R wearing from DIVE Bomb decoys? Thk U, Merry X mas.
Merry CHRISTmas and its the divebomb airweight mid layer. I love it. I actually did a review video on it you can check out if you want
Have you used the lucky duck in high wind conditions yet???
I love mojo I just wish the pole was longer
just 5 or 6 of them like us Tennessee Boys do
Thanks!
