After reading some of the comments, it sounds like most of you need to get one of these bags from Rogers: rogerssportinggoods.com/rogers-4-slot-water-motion-decoy-bag/

I absolutely love them. Perfect for a still morning to get some ripples on the water.

I have 6 pulsators and have had to fix a few. couple tips...if/once you get enough of them...and they break down its cheaper to buy replacement parts to keep up an arsenal of them.
2nd tip...take some liquid electricians' tape and dab some on all wire connect areas (bilge pump). keeps the wires from braking. Hopefully the new battery pacts Higdon came out with will last.

Mine broke 4-5th hunt in, didn’t stand the cold.
Worked for a few hunts then the clip broke off that holds the pump.

happened to me to, they sent me a new one at no charge. I didn't need it because I just used a zip tie and connected it back to the body. I have the extra part now if I ever need it.

Man I bought some Lucky Duck ones to use last year. Felt like ducks didn't like them at all. Always ended up pulling them and throwing out a normal jerk rig. That's just here in So IL where we hunt I guess.

@@Jacob25yt All West Coast states (Oregon, WA, CA) outlawed them years ago. It's pull string motion, or wind driven only. Nothing mechanical.

@@tazoutdoors Oh, well I’m not sure about Oregon or Washington but they’re legal in California. I live in California and we’re allowed to use battery powered spinning wing decoys (I use mojos) starting Dec.1st. As for pulsators or other powered decoys that make ripples, they are allowed all season. I hunt a club in California and most of the members use pulsators. I rarely hunt refuges but I know a lot of people that do who use pulsators throughout the season and spinning wing decoys (starting Dec. 1st) and they have never been stopped by a warden or told that they aren’t allowed to use them. I’ve also been to multiple Ducks Unlimited dinners throughout central CA where they literally have spinning wing decoys/pulsators as part of raffles/auctions, so I’m pretty sure they wouldn’t be handing them out if they were illegal. Hope I didn’t sound rude, just wanted to let you know in case you hunt in CA. Don’t want you missing out on using them and missing opportunities to potentially get more birds in range! 👍

@@Jacob25yt Ah, very interesting! No not rude at all, this is good info. I totally just assumed CA was just as strict as us up here. I hunt Oregon and Washington so I know the mojos are illegal here, but as for pulsators and what not I definitely should look into that more. Would love to at least use those. I am sometimes rolling with 2 pull string flappers and 1 jerk rig for ripples. Throw a dog into the mix and it gets pretty challenging trying to avoid tangles. Thanks for the info!

@@tazoutdoors Honestly with the way California is I’m surprised we’re allowed to use them if theres other states that aren’t ha. I had no idea that they’re some states that aren’t allowed to use them, and I hear you on the jerk rig. Stopped using ours so our dog wouldn’t get tangled lol.

Spinning decoys don't work at all where I hunt cause every one has one here . Jerk rigs still work on some days.

I have 2 pulsators and both broke, I had one the whole bottom part with the bulge pump snapped off and can't be re attached. The other the tube snapped off at the bulge pump. They were great til they broke but I'm getting lucky ducks for the main reason that it has a remote.

Higdon makes the WORST pulsator, they break in under 1 season reliably, I’ve gone through 4 and have a few buddies that all have the same PLURAL issues. Get the ghg or any other brand from every hunter I’ve ever talked to. The internal hinge pin is not long enough and breaks if you ever have to service them horrible designs internally as well
