I actually work for the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric Aids Foundation EGPAF.
Can't express my feelings when watching this so deep, so engaging speech. She did a good battle, after her millions of mothers and children can now be protected.
    Thank you so much Elizabeth!
Thanks to you Suzy and Susan for EGPAF.

ayo, Based on Mr. Storr's discussion of persuasive technique, you know the there are three different approaches you can take to persuade your audience. Please identify the correct approach that the speaker used and support your answer with specific and detailed evidence from the speech as well as Mr. Storr's lecture as to how you came to this conclusion?

    • @goobagel

ayo, In order for you to deliver a successful persuasive speech, you will not only need sound credibility and logic, but you will also need sound emotion, both in in your content and your delivery as the audience must see, hear, and feel the motion. So, how will you use pathos in your persuasive speech? Please identify four specific ways in which you will use pathos in your upcoming speech and provide a detailed explanation for why you believe your chosen strategies will be effective. Feel free to use the sister speech you reviewed as inspiration for your answer and strategies you want to employ.

Wow. What charisma. If only she had survived ...
I knew the history, and off her legacy, but I had never heard her speak at length, and this just drives it home.
    What a true hero.
And Jake is still thriving as an adult, and doing the truly good work. His parents (past and present) must be very proud.

I can still remember watching this. In 1992 I was just a kid, not even old enough to learn to drive (not that we could afford a car, gen x had it hard!) let alone vote, and I volunteered for my local Democratic campaign. I went ALL in - if I wasn't at school, helping my mom (a disabled single mother), or doing odd jobs to help support us, I was either in the office calling / working, or pounding the pavement, esp going to large immigrant areas to tell them it was okay to vote even though they weren't legally there. Even tho gen z hates me, I'm proud I played a tiny part in getting Clinton in.

Watching this in 2021 and wow. History doesn't always repeat exactly, but it often rhymes. Even now in October of 2021, when we have several vaccines for the COVID virus we didn't have last year, we're still in the midst of another global pandemic because of the previous Trump administration spreading misinformation, valuing personal ego over public health, and teaching people that, "If it hasn't personally affected you, it's not your problem".
The rich avoid the worst of scenarios because they have the money for top-notch medical care and health insurance while everyone else suffers and dies. People are doubting the very science which is supposed to serve all and are vilifying health experts because loyalty to the GOP and personal pride are more important to them than public well being.
This speech sounded like not just a war cry for Elizabeth's time and fight, but as a warning against future public health crises where the powerful value their own agenda above protecting the people and the misled are deceived enough to follow that agenda at their own destruction.
Rest well, Elizabeth, and thank you for speaking out. Blessed be.

Not to grave dig, but to quote "This is not about being a republican, or an independent, or democrat, it's about the future." No need to turn it biased here.
