I was 14 in 1984. People were captivated by this beautiful woman and powerful speaker. She was well liked, R.I.P.

This woman would have been a republican today. She's real. She has passion and she was a pragmatist. I'm a die hard republican and i would have voted for Gerry.

Remember THIS woman, not the one from Alaska, was the first on a national ticket.

What a lady. What a great candidate for such an important public office. Give me another Geraldine and I'll be proud to vote for a woman into the office of Vice President!

Thank you for your brave attempt to stop the damage that Reagan and Bush Sr. inflicted upon this world. You did your best! You deserve a nice eternal rest for all you accomplished. Eternal rest unto her, O, Father, and may perpetual light shine upon her.

@zagorith14 You mean Congresswoman Ferraro. She was never a Senator (although she did run for the U.S. Senate in both 1992 and 1998).

@SexyLiLLeilaniMya Well, I don't know.....just imagine Dan Quayle running around the world as Vice-President of the United States. Oh, wait--we DID!

i wish she could have seen the tremendous victory of vice president elect Kamala Harris.

    • @ElliottAS

Not even a comparison. Harris is a fool. Gerry was a class act.

@@ElliottAS I didn't compare them, I just said that it would have been nice for Geraldine Farraro, someone who believed that the office of Vice President should be one day held by a female, so much so that she even seeked the office herself, to see a female actually take the office.
