Thanks for telling about the stock speakers. I was looking for that info. Also, thanks for telling about Crutchfield and how you can get parts specific to your ability. Thanks!
This is good video. I have this same car and will be using this to change out my whole system. He has another with changing the head unit. Thanks dude!
Crutchfield is the BOMB for A+ help on any auto stereo and You did an awesome video Sir. Just one thing I find sorta troubling is when You was about to test the new speaker, I asked myself, what music You might test with. Maybe something You enjoy personally. The music I heard rots my ears out so the speaker has it's work cut out for its self. I can't imagine who blew out the speaker. I lied. I can. I was a disc jockey for years in San Antonio. What's the name used for that style of music?
I had to go back and watch the video as I'd forgotten what I was listening to. That is classic first generation Jamaican Ska (originally recorded in the 60's). Specifically it's Desmond Dekker "The King of Ska." As it was 60's era monaural recording it may not have been the best choice as an example, but I must have been on a ska kick at the time.
Nice, job. 6x 4 or 6x 8 speaker size? Isn't there some that have speakers behind 2nd row seat. Like the ones with 3 seats but I assume your wife's car does not.
i've been looking at aftermarket door speakers for my 2000 ford explorer and almost all of them look like they have little melted bit near the center, is that normal?
Probably means the paper cones were already rotten to begin with so it wasn't from someone turning it up loud is probably being left quiet too long and the speaker comes got way too stiff with time so when you put your new speakers in give him a little more volume they won't cuz you need to keep the cones a little soft
Great thing about Crutchfield, they will tell the exact size speaker you need for your vehicle as for a 2002 Ford Explorer, the size is 6x8 because I just purchased some for mine.
I'm glad u mention about pulling up on the panel. Cuz I seen other videos and they don't say that . So thank u for saying it. I will say on a Ford Explorer 2002 sport trac the hooks are located differently. I'm guessing that was Ford's way of fucking with ppl. Smh
Instead of buying the pigtails you can also opt to de-solder them off them off the old speakers, especially if they are blown and have no plan to ever use them again.
Great video!! Thank you. FYI, the 2002 Explorer takes 6x8 speakers. He said 4x6 but did install 6x8’s.

If the cars speakers it came with are 4x6, does that mean you can only replace them with other 4x6 speakers?
Fear Of Yes

what is that black rubber that goes all around the door. its purpose is to keep the warmth in and the cold out
Mario Lako that and water
Next time use a nut driver on the hex head screws and don't forget to remove the bezel around the door handle...
what is the Web place where u bough the speakers?
www.crutchfield.com
Are the front speakers the same size as the rear speakers? And...GO SOX!
That's what I want to know somebody made the comment that he said 4 x 6 and safe that are really 6 by 8
That Spanish music tho 😂

My test song for new audio components is Ted Nugent's "Stranglehold."
It must be played at volume level 11, minimum.
muy...BUENO...GRACIAS...
WRONG.. very WRONG! Remove the small panel behind the door handle first then do anything else!!! It just pops off.
Que medida son las bocinas nuevas que instalaste

Pre-fab adapter for easy installation? Damn...
