Since Thursday when this and the new Spiritbox dropped I can’t stop listening to either song. Totally different vibes. A perfect compliment to each I feel like.
I'm a few weeks late to the party, but I couldn't agree more! I just discovered Ankor a few days ago. And I just heard the Spiritbox EP all the way through for the first time a week ago. I can't stop listening to either one, and the similarities are undeniable, although they're clearly unique and individual. I feel like when we have all 6 chapters this story is going to be in the same league as the mighty Fear of Fear. And yet different. And that's a gooooood thing for all of us!
You rock Tauri! Liked and subbed! I just discovered you, and I just discovered Ankor, and now I find a confluence of delightful things. Perfect! I feel the same as you about Ankor. They're world-class in their sound, cohesion, lyrical depth, presentation, and just all-around awesomeness. The world of female fronted bands is a revelation to me in the past year. Jinjer was the gateway drug. Now many of my favorite bands have women in them. And Ankor is suddenly in my top 3 after only hearing a few songs. I especially love the new singles. I can't wait to watch more of your excellent reactions! Rock on!
Tauri. I think it is how they do many things in videos as well remember Oblivion. The start of the video was after the suicide attempt at the end of the video. We saw what she was going through and in the end we saw what had brought her to that place that she didn't understand. Had to make a choice and in the end run to them was her trying to find her way back to life. I think we can expect to see alot of this from David and the gang. It is Brilliant to say the least. Ankor is so next level. I don't try to second guess them in the music because you never know what to expect totally unpredictable and in videos totally unpredictable. Great Reaction and yes Ankor is hands down my Favorite band of all time and I am a old man so I have stacked up a few.-v/r JC
Oh, as watching your reaction I realized what ending was about. Your comment how club dance scene has reference to Darkbeat made it. How creepy ending as murderer from chapter one follows Jessie in dark streets.
Thanks for the great reaction! Besides being an amazingly talented and creative band, I really feel like Ankor are doing something unique with this narrative approach to their recent releases. Obviously, each song can be experienced on it's own, but together they have an even more emotional impact. Of course, if you get a chance to talk to Jessie & co., you'll get the real motivation, but for me the release order had to do with at least a couple of things: first, it's a gripping mystery; I literally could not wait until the next chapter to know what was going to happen next and what the backstory was. Second, I felt like this might be the way a victim of trauma or grief might experience the past, i.e. not always linear. That notification bell for chapt. 5 can't go off too soon!
Для тех кто не понял: в клубе, она увидела этого бородатого парня, который убил ее жениха в первой части. Она узнала его и он, тоже узнал ее, и побежал за ней.
Thank you so much Tauri!! You're the best! Can't wait to share with you the last 2 CHAPTERS of the story 😜

Is this mean the next chapter gonna be jessie vs the killer(bassist)? LoL
