20 years ago I was 19 and in love with this song/video playing over and over again on MTV. 20 years later and here I am to witness new generation enjoying MOTD rebirth. 💙
I have always do the same when hearing this song. I used to watch her music video in a copilation that my parents had with early 2000s hits, and that stomp has been engrained in my brain since
I really do love how the dancers subtly recreated the movie dance with their poses, their horns and even the jumps. Masterpiece!! Sophie is eternal. Love her
Yessss! Excellent performance by both Sophie and the dancers! She probably couldn't move that much to focus on the singing (and maybe because of the dress), but the performance is never boring thanks to the dancers and direction.
It's definately her thing. But the choreography here was jaw droppingly good. To co-ordinate 10-15 people doing individual moves, which all come together as a fascinating, collective view is just amazing. And to style it in the "Saltburn" theme too - just fantastic. The choreography and the great song both held Sophie's rather "still" physical performance together.
Since I've seen her kitchen disco videos during the pandemic (which helped a lot when you're alone in your flat sitting in front of a computer for months) I knew she would be back. And here she is!
So glad for her renaissance. Her kitchen disco during the pandemic was soooo good. Honestly wish I discovered it at that time as it would have really helped bring me some joy in a very dark time.
Crazy to witness Sophie Ellis-Bextor's comeback. I will see her next Wednesday in Cologne, Germany in a very small club where roughly 500 people fit in. She played there last year as well. Maybe she could have moved the show now to a bigger venue. If only she had known ...
After listening to this song from one of my playlists for over 10 years, I can't believe what I see right now. I feel incredibly happy for Sophie and how a film and social media gave her the overdue respect for such an underrated yet incredible song from the recent past. To many years of shining on the dance floor!
It’s just insane that people just started to know this song. It’s madness. Me at 29 when it came out I danced my butt to it (back in El Salvador), but still it was huge back then, but I’m sooo happy for Sophie to get the recognition she deserves as a great singer + her other music is AWESOME as well. She’s that good. ❤
Fantastic performance....as always.... from Sophie. How on earth does she look that great after having FIVE children??? Apart from the looks her voice and presentation are as good (if not even better) now as they were when she first performed this classic number. She is the definition of a superstar.

I’ll happily take on point live vocals with the mic on (and no vocal playback) over dance moves any day - to dance and sing perfectly is so terrifically difficult
@ddjr6673 Of course vocals matter. But imagine how much more hype this would give SEB had she actually performed a segment where she would dance. A little choreography during the guitar solo would elevate the whole performance. If Madonna can still do it at 65 in her concerts, surely SEB can, too, for a 4-minute show. We love her regardless.
