    This was excellent Fernanda. My pregnancies were long ago, I so wish I had known this information back then. Thank you for providing information on such a broad range of clothing needs. Your videos truly are excellent 👏 😊

    Fantastic tips! One thing I wish I had thought about when buying maternity clothes was to keep breastfeeding in mind even when you’re just pregnant. I bought several high neck t shirts and they were useless to me when I was newly postpartum. I could not agree more that investing in quality pieces is worth it. Also, be aware that your feet may grow! Be prepared for this as a possibility. I was not prepared for my feet to grow from 7.5-8 up to 9-9.5 wide. I literally had to get rid of ALL of my pre-pregnancy shoes 😅 I lived in slip on sandals which were the only thing to fit me at the end of my pregnancy.

      Right back at you - these are great tips! My favorite videos to create are those were you get as much value from the comments as you get from the content - this is definitely looking to be one of them!

    Am I pregnant? No, I'm not. But I just love capsule wardrobe videos so much that I'm watching anyway! Fernanda, could you do an actualized video on the basics that you have in your wardrobe, that you used with your season capsule?

    When I was pregnant, I had 5 surplice neckline/wrap/faux wrap/empire waist dresses that I wore on rotation with cozy longer cardigans, and that’s all I wore (add wool tights in the fall/winter). One pair of Clark’s flat strappy sandals, one pair of Sam Edelman ballet flats, one pair of ankle boots. I wore my fall/winter jackets just open.
    Biggest tips are natural fabrics only and buy at least one or two outfits that you feel like you look good in, because you may not be feeling like you look your best much of the time.
    I did buy maternity tops and leggings and jeans but they were just never as comfortable as a slightly looser fitting dress made of natural fabrics.

    My “babies” are 24 and 28 so it’s years since I was pregnant - but I do remember being absolutely lost as to what to wear, especially as your body changes so much in the last three months. Denim jeans, denim overalls and flat black boots were the key pieces in my wardrobe but I do wish I had spent a bit more money on my wardrobe because it does impact on how you feel about yourself.

    • @vazq_Fernanda
      @vazq_Fernanda  2 года назад +1

      I remember my mom telling me that she has a pair of overalls when she was pregnant with me, which sounds like it was about the same time that you were. She always mentioned how the denim wore out around her bump cause she was 'bumping' into everything.

    Realize that any stretchy pre-pregnancy clothes that you decided to use during your pregnancy will probably be completely stretched out of shape once you are past the post-partum period. Also, that may last longer than you anticipate and you may be wearing your maternity wear for months, so definitely pick things you like and won't get sick of.

    • @vazq_Fernanda
      @vazq_Fernanda  2 года назад

      Such good advice!! Thank you for pointing this out, it makes me think that if you have something stretchy that you love, best to not wear it during your pregnancy.

    Very cute maternity capsule 💕 Something I forgot to mention was that your feet can swell in the summer, in my case I literally wore one pair of Birkenstocks the entire summer, I got very tired of them 😑😂 So anyways I would recommend at least one or two pair of sandals that will accommodate swelling!

    I'm happy aunt but this capsule is really nice with summer color palettes 💙 when you're creating capsule first are you creating color palette and then looking for pieces or first pieces?

    • @vazq_Fernanda
      @vazq_Fernanda  2 года назад

      It depends. If I'm creating for a person, I start the color palette first if I know their season. But if I don't know their season, I start creating the palette from what they already have in their wardrobe, and making it all work.

    So timely! I’m in my 3rd trimester right now.
    I would say that if your style tends to be on the oversized side it’s a huge bonus during pregnancy. I have blazers, sweaters and dresses that are a part of my regular wardrobe but they fit during pregnancy as well. I didn’t get a pregnancy button up cause I have two oversized button ups that work perfectly.
    What I actually got specifically for pregnancy is two pairs of jeans (one hand me down, one bought), a pair of leggings (not a leggings person like you but they do feel great to wear just round and about to get groceries etc), two basic tees (black and white), a pajama like lounge set, a polo long sleeve for work and dressing up and two dresses (one hand me down, one second hand) just to feel nice in summer.

    It feels so good to hear "invest in some nice clothes which will make you happy"!! I am currently in my second trimester and initially I thought I have enough clothes from my previous pregnancy so I dont need to buy anything. But soon I noticed - yes I have clothes but my style has changed and I just didnt feel my best. So I went out and bought some new pieces with great colours to add some freshness into my wardrobe and it was the best decision ever. Most of the new things are not maternity so I will be able to wear them for longer :) And it really makes a difference - I feel stylish and getting dressed is fun again!
