Excellent! Narration is a huge factor for me, maybe even just as important as the story itself. I can't enjoy even my very favorite books and stories if they're poorly narrated. This recording excelled on both counts. An intriguing classic story, and the narration is perfection! I'll be back for more!

I fell in love with H. G. Wells' short stories when I was in my early teens and I thought and still think he was brilliant and so far ahead of his time. Think of his books too - The War of the World's, The Time Machine and The First Men in the Moon.

Having a story told to me brings such happy memories of my father who was a wonderful story teller. So as we travelled I would ask about next episode and would recount ihe last onet to him. Then I would ask him " What then Pa " and he would tell us the next part. So thank you for a delightful return to precious time. 💗

I found this video only a couple of hours ago and I have already listened to the story three times! I never realised how much I am missing out on due to my obnoxiously unyielding realistic view of the world - now I feel completely enthralled by magic. All thanks to one little story read by a voice actor just as talented as the writer. Seriously, this is insanely captivating. Thank you so much for sharing this with us, I will definitely be going through all the other stories on your channel!

i have been listening to your Sherlock audios books for a long time usually when i am very tired. it is cozy and can close my eyes and enjoy. it takes a long time though because i fall asleep shortly and finding where i left off later on. it is a unique way to consume content but i enjoy it. i decided to try a new author you cover and knew h.g. wells was known as a great author so i gave it a shot. this is the first time i left a comment because even though i was exhausted, i didn't sleep. the story was fascinating and was only enhanced by your talent so much so that i felt it was necessary. so thank you and thank you again for introducing me to another great author. i might of not gotten around to enjoying it if it wasn't for this.

...."it's amazing what people bring in with them".👹
    I enjoyed this so much.
Wells slyly pulls the reader in to share this discomforting, cleverly crafted tale with his occasional appeals: "well, you know, what would you do?"
How simply he writes it, almost like a children's story, yet it's impossible to ignore the uneasiness building behind it.
The ending is perfect - perfectly wrapped up, yet not.
    Fabulous narration!

@@sherlock_holmes_magpie_audio It is part of the BU, a universe created by the boyband BTS and their company through songs, videos, "The Notes", webtoon and other materials that the band releases. In certain MVs (music videos) or short films they make reference to some books and these books can help to better understand the psychological aspects and the references behind the BTS universe and storyline.
The Magic Shop book was used as a reference in the teasers for their song "FAKE LOVE", and I'm trying to figure out the relationship of the MV and the book.

This is such an interesting story really unnerving but also sadly the dad is relatable not understanding danger before it's too late because you're so distracted by the shiny things around you and making someone you love happy. I'm not a parent or a wife but I think everyone has a few moments in their life like that.
