- The Zygomycota video is a brief introduction to the fungal phylum. It includes key characteristics associated with the phylum members an a detailed explanation on how they reproduce asexually and sexually.
For my video on Ascomycota, go to • Ascomycota
For my video on Basidiomycota, go to • Basidiomycota

i don't know if you'll see this or not BUT WANNA THANK YOU FOR THIS EXPLANATION :)
I am from Egypt, and for the first time I understand this.
So thank you🌸
Thank you for uploading this video. Usually, I loathe having to study reproductive cycles of plants and fungi but I found this very clear and helpful.
Great video! I was a little confused by your pronunciation (I've always heard these pronunciations: coenocytic is see-no-si-tic and gametangia is ga-me-tan-gee-a), but that's such a trivial thing anyway. Excellent diagrams and use of vocabulary. Wonderful job!

Informative !

What's the ploidy of each structure??
A fungal cell's nucleus is mostly in the form of haploid. Before and during plasmogamy, the nuclei remain haploid. Karyogamy leads to diploid.
Thank you so much 😘😘
