I have studied human and child psychology. And did an internship for a year as well for disabled children and in hospitals. Then I dreamed of taking criminal psychology and left the same in 6 months. Why? As a part of thesis and to desensitised our minds and prepare us, me and other 6 students were sent to jail. We met with people you cannot fathom. Rapists, schizophrenics, arsonists. Fir some reasons though, police would not let us go near a block that was for serial killers. Like we needed to. We all were beyond traumatised and till this day I wonder, what would have happened, if at all we went there? I couldn’t sleep for 3 days straight and my parents made me quit. I am still traumatised by the confession and demeanour I witnessed that day. They are not humans. Their souls and hearts are just not there. Few showed remorse but you would never ever know.
I swear to God, I was like is there no sane person here in this comment section. These people keep saying that he needs help and that he feels remorseful for what he did. They feel more sympathy for the killer than the victims and their families. It just reminds me of these teenage girls who wrote love letters to serial killers. My faith in humanity is absolutely demolished.
I really can't understand it... Dahmer seems to be remorseful for what he had done but he kept doing it for years... Because he's very different from other serial killers, I have mixed feelings when it comes to what I think about him. He seems like a good guy, you may even feel bad for him but there's also the other side.
He was ill. He needed help, but of course he couldn't talk to anybody about his fantasies, he tried hard to resist his impulse but eventually he couldn't. Once he was caught he was able to talk about them and for the first time he felt people was listening to him. He even thanked the policeman that interrogated him and that he would miss their talk together.
I literally can't find a single thing about him that shows remorse other than him SAYING he's sorry. Even when he talks about how he killed them, he says it calmly and keeps strong eye contact when talking about the most gruesome parts. He shows absolutely NO remorse whatsoever and his mannerisms are the exact OPPOSITE of someone feeling guilty. He knew what he did was bad (I mean, who couldn't?) and he didn't care. And plenty of people thought he was a good guy, that's how manipulation works...
I look at it kind of like drug addiction. In fact what Dahmer did and the release addicts get from their drugs are extremely similar. I can tell you, as someone who was dependant on opiates (I was diagnosed about 10 years ago with an incurable brain condition. This was before the whole war in opiates so I was prescribed them in large amounts and told they weren't dangerous or addictive as long as I took them as prescribed. That was NOT true) once your brain is addicted to something, stopping is nearly impossible, especially without help. The brain works similarly in serial killers as it does in drug addicts. Many will hurt themselves and others if it means they can get their fix. He knew what he was doing was wrong and he may have felt real guilt for it but continued anyway because the compulsion was so strong. Jeffrey was an interesting case in that, he didn't want to cause pain to his victims, he didn't delight in seeing them suffer. He honestly didn't even really want them dead. He wanted zombies, people to love him, need him, people he could use without having to worry about their needs. His goal wasn't to hurt or cause them pain though. He was a seriously sick individual and he was very mentally ill but he is still very different from other serial killers. He wasn't a sexual sadist. He also ate them because he wanted to keep them with him forever. He wanted to own them completely. I think of it like this, Hitler was an evil man. He wanted to cause as much pain and suffering as possible. He killed people in the process. Jeffrey was a sick man. He wanted a companion who would love him unconditionally and who would never leave him. He decided there was only one way to make that happen and he killed people in the process. The motives and were totally different, one man was evil and one was sick, the outcome was the same.

The fucking misinformation in these comments is both repulsively abhorrent and proof that if we are going to play with the atrocities and trauma of victims for money, then we need to do it far more responsibly than has been done thus far. Dahmer didn't regret shit. He joked about his killings, taunted other inmates about them, played fun little practical jokes on his cellies. He REVELED in his notoriety and in the attention, he enjoyed the sick power he felt. He wasn't grateful it was over, he was enjoying it all too much. Why the fuck do you all want to humanize this man without even a thought for their victims and their loved ones? THIS MAN DOES NOT DESERVE YOUR FUCKING EMPATHY. Holy fuck, people. Do NOT mistake a *fictionalized*, *dramatized* account BASED ON the story of Dahmer and his victims for actual truth, and allow it to sway your empathy toward this vile, evil torturer and his purely selfish intentions. Netflix bent over backwards to show how he just really had a vewwy tuff yife, poor babby. NO. THAT IS BULLSHIT. Not only does this let evil like Dahmer off the hook, it places normal, non-violent members of society who grew up in abusive and traumatic situations under a type of scrutiny which simply is not statistically warranted or rooted in what we know about behavioral science. If you want to sit here and talk about how AHHCKTUALLY, Dahmer didn't WANT to kill and AHHCKTUALLY he was so conflicted and AHHCKTUALLY he was so lost and hurting and didn't know what to do (not trying to make a gatdamned sex zombie springs to mind as one option) I think you should at MINIMUM be able to name every one of Dahmer's victims and give a fact about their lives or the family they left behind.

He set the precedent with his first kill in 1978. He managed to hold off fit almost a decade and claims his second killing was involuntary as he didn't remember it. That's when he began the serial part. I think it's a combination of unfortunate factors plus his internalised dark desires.

I usually don’t like to judge things like this. But no the hell he is not. This is an act bc he would make cannibal jokes to his inmates to piss him off. If he did have so much remorse over the things he did and wanted to be caught so bad why didn’t he turn himself in after the first or so murder?
So this was one of the clips Steve Buscemi studied for his role as Garland Greene in Con Air. It has been stated before that Garland Greene was based on Dahmer, Ed Gein, Ted Bundy, John Wayne Gacy, and even Charles Manson.
I wouldn’t deny the fact that JD was responsible for all the horrifying things he has done and those crimes are unforgivable but his case should also be an eye opener for the world that how much a psychologically healthy childhood and good mental health matters. As per how much I could understand from the Netflix series, Jeff always felt like people are going to leave him, because since childhood he has been into a broken family. Initially he didn’t like doing what he did but gradually his acts turned out, out of impulse. Even in court he accepted that what he did was not right, got baptised as well etc. I am not defending him or denying the fact that we should let him go. The main idea behind this comment is MENTAL HEALTH MATTERS. His case happened before I was even born, still mental health doesn’t matter much in today’s era. People are considering it, that’s good but more emphasis and action is needed

My faith in humanity is absolutely demolished.

@@averagejoe707 oh my God he did not those frekin guards made that shit up I know I worked at the prison where Jeffrey was
@@averagejoe707 that's actually a rumour. He didn't do that, as confirmed by the man that killed him.
"he seems like a good guy" what has this world come too. People r sick.

If this man truly repented from what he has done and called on the name of Jesus to forgive him he would have been saved and born again of the Spirit of God, hence his atrocity will not be counted or remembered after he died and he would have gone to heaven. That is how great the love of God is. Very few in his place can repent after what they have done, because when you cross the line into the darkness it's difficult to come back. Satan has the legal right to pull him into hell.
I believe whole heartedly that his parents abandoning him in the house, shipping him away to college & the Army had a horrible effect in him. Thats what led to the obsession w the men not leaving him. Honestly that's rather sad. it’s sad to see that he really could’ve gotten help if someone would’ve listened to him but it was too late
He says one thing and does another.
A true Gemini ♊️
Very true they do most definitely have a evil streak 😮
🤣🤣🤣
I'm embarrassed
Not really in the full interview he explained everything and only blamed himself. He also stated that he would kill again if he was free
I’m a Gemini ♊️ too it’s the truth we do stuff we can’t control I’m not making no excuses for what Jeff did but I definitely understand
Rip 😢
Why the fuck do you care he’s a serial killer do you think it’s funny he killed all them people
nfw💀
Rip as in “rest in piss”
@@Inferno2589 non R.I.P rest in peace
Bro looks like toby maguire from spider man
I think he’s maybe the only serial killer that was honest-I really don’t think he wanted to be that way.
Awww so sad 😭
Really terryfing
At least he’s honest
Terrifying? No, just honest. Saying how an apology won't make up for anything and really, he needed serious help.
You can hear the sorrow and emptiness in his voice
I remember this when it happened & said then JD was a nice guy with a horrendous sickness he needed help. We should learn how serial killers work from his story ... sad 😔
I dont care how he feels, he is a murderer, he ended over 15 lives, I've no sympathy for him, he can feel regret all he wants.
It's hard to get around what happened to the Dahmer family. By far the saddest, most tragic story of human relations and how dark it ended. I feel so bad for the victims and then again, I feel bad for the Dahmers.
I find t fascinating, this man truly wanted to stop killing and he didnt want to kill but he found it easy and comforting he never tried to hide it because he knew he needed to be caught it was the only was he knew he was going to stop
RIP to the victims and my heart goes out to the family of not only the victims but also jeffery
One of the nicest comments I have read thank ! From a friend and f Jeffery's
Aww poor man, I feel so sorry for what he went through
He really needed help. a shoulder. Someone who would listen to him.stay with him. I'm not justifying him but he never intended to kill or torcher them. He wanted them to be with him. No mentally stable person would kill 17men and eat them. It was none of his fault, people around him,the ignorant made him sick!
If you were born in place of Jeff with those conditions and parents carelessness. What would you do?
Probably not murder innocent people in cold blood🤷🏼♂️
His last words aren't terrifying
Ah yes, terrifying
He should have had someone helping him.
He was sick and couldn’t stop even though he hated it so much.
Someone should have helped even if it meant risking their life.
I know if I was able to I would have.
His last words weren’t scary they were peaceful frankly he did do some bad things but you look at people like John Wayne Gacy, who, even though he got caught at the end John Wayne Gacy show no remorse like Jeff and told everyone to go screw their selves
That's good and evil at each other's throats, There's a battle going on in his head.. Jeffrey Dahmer is probably going to heaven believe it or not.
B*tch u sound #LUDACRIS!!!
Just shows how good he’s at luring people like you 🤦♂️
I usually don’t like to judge things like this. But no the hell he is not. This is an act bc he would make cannibal jokes to his inmates to piss him off. If he did have so much remorse over the things he did and wanted to be caught so bad why didn’t he turn himself in after the first or so murder?
Wtf are u talking about
And the victimes are going to hell lol whts wrong with u poeple
Jeff was MK-Ultra’d.
Tbh he looks like Evan Peter’s omm lol I feel like they used Jeffrey dahmers body to remake him again
He should feel sorry especially of all that terror and trauma that he has caused, this of course doesn't change anything he has done.
So this was one of the clips Steve Buscemi studied for his role as Garland Greene in Con Air. It has been stated before that Garland Greene was based on Dahmer, Ed Gein, Ted Bundy, John Wayne Gacy, and even Charles Manson.
He truly was a tortured soul.
Does anyone think that if he gotten psychiatric help things would've been different?
I don't understand I mean please someone explain me difference between eating animals and eating humans I mean animals are also living being ? They do have right to live like humans ? Cannabalism is Terrifying........then eating animals should also be terrifying.
Plants are alive too it’s been proven so what about that? I guess nobody is going to eat anything at the end of the day.
Um maybe humans are conscious and they have souls like bruh are you really comparing eating humans a precious life and eating animals like are you crazy
@@Mindbetter_ so animals don't have souls ?? Like are YOU crazy?????
@@thevvaavvyyyshow um no they don't have souls and human life is precious it's way different then animal life
@@thevvaavvyyyshow and I still can't believe ur comparing eating humans and eating animals

Ha. I get that youre joking around
It's not "terrifying" its fucking sad I'll always love hum
What is wrong with this guy he is a cannibal it's weird because he has fans who want to a fan of a cannibal
No one is a fan of him, but i for one feel slightly sorry for him. obviously he done some seriously fucked up stuff, but it doesnt seem like it was truly him, and he wasnt happy doing it. very mad brain
@@pinchylobster7392 he was sane when he did the crimes

Omg AHHHH! These words were so terrifying and scary I’m trembling rn AHHHH!

I wonder how much a Jeffrey Dahmer autograph is worth ....
Well the Bible that was used when he got baptized in prison went for like $20,000 at auction. But something sighed by him? That be interesting. People would pay good money for that
Yet he bragged about killing and made jokes about his cannibalism to fellow prisoners... he was good at putting on a public facade. I don't believe a word he says here. 🎉
Jeffrey was a good kid after all, he just needed help. He really hated killing people but he couldn't stop it, he needed someone else to make him stop. That's why he never actually tried to hid the crimes, and he actually felt genuinely sorry for what he did, in another interview he said that he understood that he did terrible things and that he deserves to end like he's victims. By saying that he "was a good kid" I am not saying that he deserves all the forgiveness in the world, its just his other side.
Killing is like w33d, it’s addicting and once you’ve killed, the feelings to do it again never truly stop..
~ A very wise person on tt
speaking from experience huh??
@@kiashikiko2924 No actually.. those were my brothers last words before they killed him, he killed once on accident then couldn’t stop..
@@Kasie. oh that's sad I'm really sorry for your brother
This isn't terrifying. He's the only one who was humble and self-aware.
