    Chad, you need a Bark De-barker that would help keep you saw blade sharper. Check with Woodland mills to see if you can add one to your saw mill. Chad you also could use another Can't hook to turn your logs. You sound is good Chad. You are doing a Great Job Chad !

    👏Congratulations on your single-handed feat! That showed a lot of ingenuity👍 I do have to say that I was cringing as you were banging that log...that's really hard on the swing tower to do that sideways like you did. I know you were trying to be gentle about it, (and yes I know this was a one time thing) but in all reality $800 for an extension would be peanuts compared to the repair bill you could have created. Please don't get in the habit of doing that OK? I want to see you continue to succeed and not cause issues for yourself😊😊😊 Stay safe and prosper Chad.

    Ok, Chad, my lad, you have officially amazed me like I've never been amazed before. First of all, the handling of the huge log is amazing , i was trying to figure out how you were going to finish cutting the end of that log. Great job.
    Good thing for your deal with the farmer for the new to you toy.
    Love the new Mike. But i couldn't hear your comments with the mill running. Your voice needed to be just a touch louder.😂
    I can't wait to see that huge beam put in place. I think you should get your neighbor to help with that. Please.
    Lastly, please don't take offense from the haters' comments. As i said in that comment, haters hate.
    I, for one, love these videos, i dont even skip forward ever in any of your videos.

    Never call yourself an idiot. You are so impressive in your work! The buildings are amazing and so usable. Is your wife filming you? I appreciate how you are so kind to Olive when she is in your way. My husband and I love how you appreciate everything so much. We love seeing every animal! Your love for your wife shows through.     HOLY SMOKE CHAD! What a HUGE job but you handled it beautifully! By the way, the general rule growing up in the 1950's was, If anything mechanical wasn't working right, "GIVE IT A SMACK".......and guess what? It usually worked!! Great job and God bless😊❤😊

      Aww thanks. Olive is always by my side and she knows to stay clear when I’m using the excavator. I think she doesn’t like the sound of it cause when I’m using the sawmill she’ll just lie down close by. Very smart

    I think you should give the cats the pieces of wood that still has the outside tree materials on it. Your farm cats would love it in their house, to scratch their claws on it. Just a suggestion.

    The damage is minimal, and today has been a lot of hard work, but it is a great reward. It's almost everything prepared to do the house for the mill. Olive is a big company.

    Woodland sells blades specific for hardwood. You might be using their all-purpose blades which are more for a softer wood. We ran into the same problem until we switched over and we were able to mill a lot more. Other than that you're doing great buddy. Keep up the good work!

      @@charfmander I have a hardwood blade on. The first blade that came with the mill cut 15 logs before I started having difficulty pushing thru. But those logs had been sitting for like 1-2 years. I just felled this tree and this is a new blade but I still had difficulty pushing it thru at times. Gotta be because of the wet wood right? Could it be another reason on the mill? I haven’t milled anything since this log so I won’t know til then. I think it’s a good idea to fall a bunch of trees and let them sit cause the blade went thru those like a hot knife they butter.

    You probably have one on your farm but if not you need a come along It can help maneuver those log’s around . You may want to put a beam system above the mill so you can maneuver big logs with winches and pulleys???
    I looked up a 6”x12”x24’ beam and it cost $720 (US). Whew! Man I see a lot of benefits to that sawmill!

    You are doing really good by yourself- I would weld a hook on the bucket of your mini so you can us chains and straps to pickup stuff.

      I’d have to learn how to weld and buy a welder first. It’s on my master list of skills to learn but it right I’ll eventually need a pulley system or a winch to help with turning huge logs.

    When pushing the log with the excavator bucket, you need to get closer to reduce the length of the lever arm. If you half the distance you will double your pushing force.

    No need to go to the gym after that workout!!! You might try those big yellow ratchet straps next time to attach to the bucket, and lift the beam. The bucket Jaw is only a super hero for a certain amount of weight, but it seems no problem for the arm to lift that much weight. A good fishing, and hunting friend of mine once told me, and I never forgot his humor, that everybody is an Idiot, but not many can admit it!!! He actually said. every body is Ducked up!!! and he could admit it. Ha!!! Keep yourselves warm, Mr. Frost is coming soon!

    Chad, You need some kind of back support for your back.😊 You are moving a lot of weight against your back. On the right of tv screen, it looks like you need more room where you are standing on the right of the log. Are you going to close in the sides of the building or keep it open? If that log came off? You would be pinned by the log or worse crushed. Take care!🪵🪵🐶🪿🦆🐣🇺🇸🇺🇸😊

    YOU SHOULD USE A WEDGE IN THE LAST CUT SO THE LOG WILL NOT BIND UP ON THE BLADE.

      It honestly wasn’t that bad, the log was freshly cut so very wet to get the blade thru. I noticed a huge difference milling a bunch of logs I had sitting for over a year compared to these few trees that I just cut. I did use wedges to get the blade out though. 😉

    Hydraulic sawmill be nice but with Hydraulic that sawmill probably cost $30k more..

      @@funtyes1970 big time, the high end wood mizers are over 50k. If you’re investing that much you better be making coin 😉 This one here with tax and a set of blades was almost 10k. I’m enjoying it so far though.

      Right now he is working on building onto his barn. He has built all of the homes for his animals. It is amazing at whst he has done. Go back and watch the many great videos he has. Great farm life with all the animals. It is one of my most favorite channels if not the #1. I really hope you have a nice day.
