Thanks for this vid. I drove over this portion of U.S. 26, back in the early 80's (traveling from madras to Portland). I didn't know about the Timberline Lodge, or I might have made that detour. I did though, take a similar road up to the base of Mt Shasta, and the abandoned Mt Shasta Ski Bowl. Picture a similar road leading up to a lodge that is empty and haunted. The resort had been taken-out by an avalanche in 1978, just a couple/few years before my visit. Plenty of parking though, and no permit required.
Thanks!
Oh, THAT "Timberline Lodge"!
I've spent many days and hours here when I lived in Madras (60 miles east) back in the 1970s.

Thank you. I appreciate the sub-titles telling me where we are. The speeded up sections are fun too and I like the music you choose.
Before I saw "The Shining" I never knew that Timberline Lodge was used as an exterior filming location.
I was here in October 2007 there was already snow on the mountain.
I heard years ago there was political pressure to make the area a national park. Any new developments?🤔🤔🤔
