You can still get ambrosia salad and cheese balls premade in stores, but you can make them with more vegan/vegetarian in mind, as well as taking food sensitivities/allergies of those whom you invite. Cheese balls are easier to use if warmed up enough.
Absolutely! It's great to hear that there are still options for ambrosia salad and cheese balls, and making them more inclusive for dietary needs is a fantastic idea. Thanks for sharing your tips!
@@AmericanRetros Thanks, and may i recommend Daiya cheese in place of milk cheese, and vegan marshmallows (or kosher made from fish bones if one/people aren't allergic to seafood), as examples. Most Whole Foods/NutrionSmart/co-ops will have the ingredients, but call 1st or check online, so that one doesn't have to waste time & gas driving around.
What other New Years foods do you remember? Let us know in the comments!
Great video, given some inspiration to make some for this New Years… if I can find the recipes!!
Awesome! Hope you whip up some killer dishes for the New Year! Let me know if you need any help tracking down those recipes!

We have ambrosia each thanksgiving and Christmas.
Ambrosia is such a classic! It's great to hear that you keep the tradition alive during the holidays.
Most of these foods are very common in Utah XD
It's interesting how regional cuisines can shape our party food traditions! What are some of your favorites from Utah?
Why are you showing balls being deep fried when cheese balls are not fried at all?
I really appreciate your feedback! It’s always good to have viewers who pay attention to the details. Keep them coming!
