I remember a long time ago when I was still playing this game, I loved driving a Jagermech with 2 LPL and 6 machine guns. The fun death machine is up close combat. Fun time.
one of my favorite old mech builds was urbie with 2 lasers and 4 hvy machine guns. so much fun if you got to the end of the match when so few mechs had a lot of armor.

The challenge of a machine gun build is patience. That's why I mainly use my Protect Fish, the Piranha A. Those 4 CLAMS mean I'm at least providing a useful service for the first half of the game, usually. My build on the Warthog currently has Light Machine Guns, because machine gun sniping is funny to me. I'll probably swap it later. Thanks, as always, for the excellent content. Now with cat!
15:12 i had to rewatch this a few times to understand why he jumped off the cliff. Trying to escape 1 light mech, he jumped into 3 more. Talk about out of the frying pan and into the fire.
I've done that a bunch of times! Not realizing that there are other mechs below you or around the corner and WHAM!! there's a few enemy mechs looking right at you! My favorite is when it is at least 2 assault mechs that I drop in front of.
I feel the pain of getting 5 kills, and doing 800+ damage and your team still loses because they refuse to capitalize from the advantage and push the enemy….
@@Charlesbabbage2209ugh... I had that exact scenario happen. It was years ago. I was riding a Scorch, lb20's and srm's galore. 1382 damage, 4 kills. We lost.
@@bojcioyeah, there’s nothing that’s so good that it can’t be matched with something bought with in-game currency. It’s more pay-for-convenience. It just means you don’t have to grind quite as hard to get new Mechs and such. They luckily offer lots of free Mechs too in their monthly events :)

Is the targeting conputer worth it? Which mech should I have it on? Does it help the team? I have my adder with ams and doesn’t seem like targeting g computer helps ams
I honestly forgot that I owned this mech. Personally, I replaced the torso HMGs with the AP Gauss for a bit more range and staying power; 58.5 firepower alpha. The ammo lasts if you can be patient; The Warthunder equivalent is piloting an A6M3 Zero fighter.

That adder... Just add two SRM boats to shred armour and watch the world burn. Although MRMs would be fine, they are too far for machine gun range and you'd rather someone to bait damage for you than take it with the killing blow machine guns.
I tried this mech with a HAG 20 in an arm and it got shot off so easily! A flea took it off in one salvo. In the regular build, I removed the BAP and put in another ton of ammo as I kept running out!

The Warthog was one of my picks since I didn't have any Adders. I find the arms to be pretty flimsy and it's not fast enough for me. Even with all the speed nodes, it's only 104kph. I prefer faster. Might try out the loyalty Ice Ferret next.

I've been running the Warthog for a while. Last game I got 5 kills and 1200 dmg. I use a flamer and 14 hvy mgs. I sit back during the battle until the mechs are close to the enemy then i come in from the rear. Any 1v1 mech i come across, they are dead. I shut them down while melting their face off. I am typically able to take on a 2v1 situation by keeping my target mech between myself and the other mech. Of all my mechs, this highest dmg mech 100%

Instead of a Large Laser I run a Heavy Small since it has similar range, and it just meshes well with that many HMGs. But this thing is a beast regardless.
you should use active probe more you wont need the uav as much. I know you like them but the probe is more team cohesive.but not so good with E.C.M., your probe only work for you in that kind of build. but a targeting comp without ecm and with active probe is essentially missle command, I think the best spotter especially with your clan lights.
I am not saying I am anything special with this mech. However, when I play it, I feel like that dude on the machine gun boat in Waterworld except I was smart enough to use a windshield and wipers.
A Large Pulse Laser with less ammo would probably be a more effective build. The LPL to open a 'mech up, then when the armor turns red run in with the machine guns. 😝

@@MisterNi it is flawed in quite a few ways. not enough ammo for longer matches, full speed tweak is basically required even still only getting 104.5kph. range is extremely limited unless running LMGs or a single AC. arm armor is very low. no ECM or any way to easily sneak into range. somewhat boxy for a light mech. The list goes on. The mech is basically forced to wait for an opening to "sneak" in and hope for a backstab.

This Warthog build is just no good for Bara. Although I don't play MWO anymore, I would probably do well with such a build because I actually play light 'mechs the way they're supposed to be played. Which is to use those UAVs to provide early recon so your team knows which way the enemy team is approaching, sneaking past the first and second line and harassing the backline in their backs and send off artillery strikes on the slow movers, then if you run into enemy lights, skirmishing with them to keep them off your team's slow heavies and assaults and damaging them enough so they'll be less willing to try to backstab your team's heavies and assaults. I agree that this Adder build needs to be much faster to make up for its lack of maneuverability. I don't remember how many available slots the Adder has, but less HMGs with an AC2 and that Clan Large Laser would do well in opening up the back of a heavy or assault, then crit them out with the HMGs. Although the Adder I have, I play much differently than as a backstabber which is what this Adder Warthog build is. My Adder build I mostly skirmish enemy lights then disengage when the heavies and assaults arrive to go poke some of the bigger enemy 'mechs from the back. I've also disabled a bunch of enemy 'mechs using the Clan Flamer and basically won the game due to doing so, hahah.
I love this game but damn man all my games are like what you had in this video. 2 months ago I had 150 wins more than my loses, but now I got 20 loses more than my wins. I been averaging like 1 out of 5 games, and all of them are complete stomps. I been very frustrated with MWO lately and I don't know why it's been this bad. You would think there is roughly 50/50 chance of being put on the winning team... :/
I'm always puzzled at folks who consistently take seismic sensor. General awareness does a great job at that anyway, and there are always other options that seem better - this is a light mech, so why not capture assist? More mobility is always helpful too. I dunno. Personal preference, I guess.
Seismic lets you perceive around walls and other vision blockers. It's very useful. Capture assist is situational. This light mech, in particular, needs to stay with the team to do its best, generally.

It doesn't tell you up or down, and if you're standing still and alone and in a position where you can be ambushed... isn't it better to just not do that? I'm honestly extremely tired of the camping meta that high tiers have turned into. Seems like a minimum of 3 mechs are sitting at 1k plus meters or jump jet mechs on outskirts buildings. A year or two ago you would RARELY see something like an Ejag with gauss ratting

For this mech i saw Sean Lang put 14 light machine guns on it and they had a range of 460 meters which os insane!!

How do you get these Loyalty mechs? Is it on MWO web store?
You "earn" them by buying packs over the course of the year; the variants get released for c-bills after a couple of months.

Hey, if you are dropping four of them before they drop you, that's a solid kill rate in MP for me.
This is the kind of mech you have nightmares about after your armor has been stripped.
