Dodgers lineup is heavily reliant on positive momentum: early lead, a few early hits. Once that doesn’t happen, they choke the game away because the mental makeup on most of the lineup is soft and fragile. They don’t like tight games or pressurized situations

Since Pages has been brought up might as well move him near the top of the line up.

The above line ups should produce a lot more runs consistently. Too many men are being left on base.

I am so tired of hearing the complaints about Dave Roberts. He is a stand up guy and does a great job of managing a team full of super stars. When they didn’t advance last year, it was a failure of the top four hitters, not his failure. Yes, they might have been calmed down enough to play within themselves and not push too hard. But they are better for it this year, and just watch, the top four hitters WILL succeed.
Now if we can only strengthen the bottom four hitters-and get the bullpen to do its job. The pitching coach is first rate and he will find a way to get much improved performance from then pen. I see they started to use some of their abundance in starters by repurposing them to the pen. THAT is a great idea.
Angry Pages? He may or may not strengthen the bottom of the lineup. I am one who hoped the Dodgers AA and AAA clubs can deliver some great hitters during the summer so that the 6-9 hitters will be much better. 🎉🎉

Here’s the problem with Ohtani. Look at last years stats with Angels: 44 home runs/95 RBI’s, so lots of solo home runs. So far this year he is like 1 hit in 19 at bats with runners on base. Also Freeman is not hitting too, and with the bottom 3 of lineup not hitting too, there will be low scoring chances during the game. Even with these problems, they are still in first place(barely), but still 121 games left to play. Let’s hope that things change and quick!!!
They will certainly change, especially for the stars. Shohei is struggling with RISP rn but every guy goes through that at times. His low RBI total was mostly a result of having crappy teammates that never got on base.
We need to let guys like Outman get in rhythm. It does not benefit players to play on such irregular schedules. James is good enough to play every day he proved it last year. I think the majority of our struggles at the bottom 3 are a result of the wrong guys (CT3, Lux, even Kiké) getting wayyyyyyyyyy to many ABs.
He’s hitting .360 and has the most hits in MLB and hits for power and league leading exit velo.

Freddie made his major league debut at age 20 and he will be turning 35 in September. While he's still better than most, people got to realize he may be on the downward trend and not produce like he did in the past. Good thing is Mookie, Shohei and Will are still in their prime so they need to win this year. Trading away Busch for a prospect who will not help this year kind of hurts, especially considering how he is balling now.

Shohei led-off when he was playing for Nippon Ham Fighers in Japan. Now that Freedman is in batting slump, my suggestion makes sense more than ever. For several years the Dodgers had this swagger " a punch the other team in the mouth - we can beat you at anytime kind of swagger ". Since 2019 they have lacked that swagger. Nowadays they sit back and wait for stuff to happen, instead of going after it. THAT IS THE PROBLEM !. Now I understand the injuries to key players has not helped, but in the past if someone got hurt another player or players stepped up be it a pitcher or position player. Slumps happen but again I point back at that swagger that the Dodgers don't have now. RISP issues need to be addressed, stop looking for the perfect pitch to hit a home run all the damn time, and make the opposing pitcher work for it, how many times has a pitcher thrown so many pitches to a batter only to make a costly mistake ?. We need to let our young studs like Outman and Pages play everyday, no matter who is on the mound. Kiké and CT3 have helped this team in platoon roles but let’s be real, it’s not 2017 anymore. Let the kids play.
The idea is for Freeman to protect Ohtani but Freeman is slumping while Ohtani is still hitting alright though with less power. So why not switch them up, have Ohtani hit after Freeman. Freeman at least gets on base for Ohtani to hit him in.
Friedman always manages to spend a lot of money without filling out the roster. Maybe instead of wasting it all on one star each offseason, he could build a well rounded team. With all the money Guggenheim provides there’s no reason why we should have completely useless players at multiple positions, a rotation of injury prone starters, overrated prospects, and washed up postseason hacks (Kershaw) and bullpens with 1 maybe 2 legit high leverage relievers and a revolving door of bums from the minors, waver wire, and failed starters
