  • Super Electromagnetic Machine Voltes V (Japanese: 超電磁マシーン ボルテスVファイブ, Hepburn: Chōdenji Mashīn Borutesu Faibu), popularly known as simply Voltes V (pronounced as "Voltes Five") is a Japanese anime television series produced by Toei Dōga and animated by Nippon Sunrise (formerly known as Soeisha). It is the second installment of the Robot Romance Trilogy, which also includes Chōdenji Robo Combattler V and Tōshō Daimos. It is directed by Tadao Nagahama and produced by Yoshiyuki Tomino. It aired on TV Asahi and its affiliates from June 1977 to March 1978.
Voltes V grew into a cultural phenomenon in the Philippines since its airing in the country in 1978,[2][3][4][5][6] and had achieved popularity as well in Indonesia and Cuba. A live-action television series adaptation, titled Voltes V: Legacy, is set to air in the Philippines on GMA Network in 2023.

When I first unboxed mine I thought I got scammed. I thought it was used because the figure looks worn out and has an oily layer on it like another person’s fingerprint on it. I remember contacting the seller before getting it and he assured me it was brand new. But later I was told from one of my online buddies that Bandia used some sort of cheap plastic when they started making the SOC line and as a result they would become like they are worn off even from just setting in storage.

I think there will be a reissue of the DX one day as there has been with mazinger z. Bandai cannot be blind to resale prices, they simply need to make more Voltes V. Weird that there wasn't a release to go with the Phillipino series. Maybe because it won't be aired in Japan? But the figure would sell anyway.
