What many don't get: It would've changed nothing. I'm a German myself. Hitler was only one of many. If he wouldn't have been there, somebody else would've done what he did. Maybe not exactly the same but fairly similarly. The Versailles Treaty did all this damage, changing it would've changed so much. But even if I had a time machine, I wouldn't change anything. Changing things may change everything. And if WW2 didn't happen, many Germans wouldn't exist, including me. My Grandma had fled from Berlin to the Southwest of Germany, if she didn't, I wouldn't exist. It is what it is and we have to accept it but also remember what happened.

you can change the future but never change the past.
Very true.
If you can't change the past, you also have no control over the future. The very act of travelling back in time proves that the Future already exists and the "Present" is just your conscious awareness of an already predetermined event.
As a side note, there is no proof that suffering makes us smarter or learn faster, its the opposite. No mention of the paradox? You can't go back in time and kill Hitler because then, the series of events that led to you building the time machine wouldn't happen. In other words, history can't be changed.
Unless... ANTI-PARADOX TIME MACHINE!
Feynstein 100 This is truly an *underrated* comment!
Exactly what I was going to say
How how would that be possible? Let's just assume that time travel is possible in the first place. You can use time, to go back to the past or into the future. But you can't change the fundamentals of time, because with out time, there wouldn't be a space(reality). It can be manipulated(meaning go back and forth), but it can't be changed. The way paradox works is that it's changing the reality of it by time, it doesn't changes time it self. It certainly changes history, not time. So how would a paradox machine be build, to change reality? Can you even change reality? Isn't reality just a perception we perceived? If then, wouldn't you just changed the way our brain perceive reality? Some sort of drug to (trick) us see the world differently, the live in a different historical world? ( eg. Inception).
So in the end, a paradox-machine is just something to trick our mind into believing a different reality.
Any time travel (to the past) at all would have to assume the multiple universes theory to be right, and at play. Only then it could work, like this: You go back in time, change whatever it is you wanted to change, and you come back to your time period, but not to the same universe. The moment you changed the timeline, your universe split into two, and your original one doesn't change at all; you come back to the universe that you created by making a change. It would be kind of like overwriting your save file in a game, but the old one doesn't get deleted: you just can't access it. So even if you killed yourself as a baby, you would still come back and live normally, because you were not that baby, but the baby from the previous universe.
Makes sense?
Observing history is beneficial, but changing it is only dangerous.

I would go to the Vienna art school, and make them accept Hitler. We would see Hitler the artist rather than Hitler the tyrant.
Then the Second World war would happen between a most likely nuclear armed USSR and the US.
1930's Germany was full of angry Germans struggling to survive. If it wasn't "Hitler," it would've been "Hanz" or "Barron Helmut Schnitzelnazi."
@@glennmatthews758 then we go back in time once more to stop one of them
@@servalist4484 then that create more problems.
Well, we'll still never know of that'll work, he could get in in Art school and still decide to become a tyrant later on, he could be both so....
Why would you kill him? I would rather educate him to make him a Buddhist.
Get him to be a Monk!
Educate him?
Turn him into someone like Gandhi!
Then watch the nukes come flying over.
Raising him as a good person and educating him is the correct and moral thing in my opinion.
Raise him jewish! Mazeltah
It's a pretty simple answer. If killing baby hitler stops world war 2, which the question is implying by the action's consequences, then I would. But Germany in the 1930s was super volatile, even if hitler weren't there someone else would have been.
I have a feeling that even if you killed Hitler, someone would just be Hitler instead of him
If I had the power to go back in time, instead of killing baby Hitler I would go back in time to 1914 to prevent the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand because his death sparked WW1 and without WW1 there wouldn't be a WW2.
But then of course all of the important events from the 20th century would have never happened and my great grand parents most likely wouldn't have even been born creating a paradox and the this time line would be ruined.
It's historically known that the death of Franz Ferdinand was just a catalyst, a mere excuse for WW1. World leaders at that time were already growing massive armies and testing new technologies brought by the industrial revolution to make better and bigger weapons, many years before the WW1 started. It's like they were all begging for a war to test all of this.
So, if Franz Ferdinand hadn't been killed, they'd just had to look for another excuse.
@@SkyAce200 Good point

Changing history will never give you the desired results. That's a fact!

QueenThoria but if you do that it would make it that when you went back to buy clothes hitler wouldn't have crossed your mind because the era you left didn't have hitler because you still killed him.

What if all baby killers were time travelers just killing baby dictators?
Of course not. The conditions that allowed for the rise of Hitler would have still occurred, just with a different person. It was never a one man show, it was a party.
many "Hitlers" are probably being assassinated by misguided time travelers on a regular basis and the Hitler that we know and hate is just the current version. or maybe there are only a few "Hitlers" and every time a time traveler succeeds in assassinating "Hitler" he changes his own perception of history, thereby causing him to assassinate his version of "Hitler" instead and leaving whatever "Hitler" we are aware of to rise to power. even if the same time traveler realizes the futility of it and gives up while the universe is on a different "Hitler", another time traveler will inevitably come along to assassinate "their Hitler", and "our Hitler" will be back in play. its an endless oscillation that is always it's own cause for undoing itself.

Well what would happen then people? If hitler didnt do this the world would be totally different. Alot of people that is alive today would never been born because of these small changes in everyones life. Hours talking about hitler would be hours of talking about something else. If you came back into the year of 2020 you might not have any friends. You would have no birth certificate. You come into a world where you are a zero
*laughs in Stein's Gate*
Ever heard if enthusiasts?
no you can't play with history
No I'd use time travel to syop the art teacher from refusing him
You could have just forced people who in charge of the art school Hitler attended to accept him.
Beautiful Person but you are thinking that the problem germans had in 40s wouldnt exist. They would still be in massive debt the economy would still be the shittiest it was and somebody (who is not hitler) would use that anger to get to power
Beautiful Person you also realise the art school thing is a misconception and that's not why he is who he is and stuff
He got into politics and the army when he failed art school
Being accepted in the art uni would not change a thing. Hitler did not fail, he was not accepted because the examiner saw his talent and interest in architecture, not in drawing. To apply to architecture school he needed a certificate about finishing Realschule, which he did not. Mainly because he hated it and had excuse not to attend from doctor because of lungs related illness.
Despite any of that, his mother would still die, making him to move to Vienna to live a life of poverty. The only thing which would change is what instead of dreaming of being an architect, he'd be working towards more artistic ways of expressing himself.
Art school wasn't the turning point. The German humiliation after the war with France and division of german nation was. Hitler was involved in politics from age of 8. So was the whole german nation.
Beautiful Person you watched Oversimplified, no? 😂
no because it would create a time paradox because if you went back in time and killed hitler, he would never have become a horrible dictator/person and thus future you would have no reason to go back in time to kill hitler, its like the grandfather paradox if you go back in time to and kill your grandfather you would have never been born therefore would not have the ability to go back in time to kill him therefore you would still exist to kill him but then you would not exist etc etc etc it goes in a never ending loop
NrveaTheGreat i wrote the same thing finally someone that understands the implications of time travel lmao
If you kill hitler, maybe now you're not writing in this comment section
Yeah I dont believe in that. Time travel is impossible.. You can only travel between different universes. You'd have to find a universe that was identical to ours, find one thats in the year 1945, hope that universe even has a Hitler, THEN kill him. But since you are in a different universe you will only change that universes timeline. When you return to your original universe nothing would be different. Paradoxes solved.
or you could just go to the universe were hitler wasnt evil and like cured cancer or something
you commented before me ;c
Killing him as a baby will not make you a hero but the same monster he became.
In killing the past you don't have a future.
no, it would fyck up the timeline
TheRaggedMarksman yes
TheRaggedMarksman If we killed him then WWII would have never happened and the US would never be such a world super power
Yep, if you did the Great Depression wouldn't have ended so early since Japan wouldn't have attacked Pearl Harbor. Plus World War 2 helped develop new ideas that later changed the world.
YEAH
TheRaggedMarksman like Life Is Strange.
no, I wouldn't, because changing even the slightest thing in the past can completely change how the future plays out
BurntBacon true
Butterfly effect
Guess what. the future you come from will be unchanged.
Imagine that killing baby Hitler results to a much worse/cruel leader of Germany that wins ww2.
I know you from the BulletBarry server, wow.
I love how so many inventions come from science fiction
Would you go back in time and redo part of your life? Fix a mistake? If you did that you would be going back in time only to erase yourself. If you didn't make those mistakes, you wouldn't be who you are today.
Nice to see you here.
BruceWillakers
The question is if not being what you are today is in fact bad or good :p
BruceWillakers you wouldn't be able to fix it because it happened so it's gonna happen your past self saw it so yea can't fix it
I am LITERALLY okay with that. I don't care if I'm "dumber" from being less damaged by things that were hellish to go through. Would absolutely be willing to take that gamble 😂
ThAts tHe PoiNt. 🙃
how about you get him into art school so he doesn't become a dictator.
This is a joke right? He did actually go to art school 😂
If you realize his dream to graduate art college, maybe there will be no war.
Why as a baby? Better to do it after some progress. So for instance just after absorbing in Austria and czechoslovakia?
How about making sure valkyrie is successful? There are a number of points in time which might have been more beneficial to humanity in which to eliminate hitler.
I would tell him to study more so he would get in to that god Damn school.
Oh my gosh. Yes.
His artwork was actually pretty good
I think it is absurd how people are inventing time travel but still are that primitive to only thinking about killing someone. By the way: It wasn't just Hitler. Stop believing that old war propaganda. The Nazis have been there before him. He joined them. The ideology was there before. If not Hitler, someone else would have done that.
From what I understand, the school itself was Jewish-owned. Not saying it had anything to do with him not being accepted, because it's not like the world knew his name or anything at that time, but it is one of the many things that he caught on to that got him interested in Jews and the media.
Mr. Hiroki If his art would be good, I think he would at least get into an art school.
