Bought an oil extractor, but wasn't clear just quite how far down I should push it - the instructions that came with it said the depth of the dipstick, but that didn't seem deep enough. I'll do what you do - push it down until I feel resistance. Also, draining the oil filter before taking it off - that's the cleanest oil filter removal I've ever seen 😃 Thanks for the video!
Great video! Will definitely look into doing this next time I change my oil. Also random thought, but whenever I purchase from ECS I always find it ironic that a company selling car parts tries to get you to buy wine too. 🤷🏽♂️
i cannot express this enough never use an oil extractor. it leaves so much bad oil at the bottom of your oil pan and you will blow your engine up with the gunk build up.

when i used the shop manual they say ~4.6L or something as i can remember in the EA888 but i needed to dump all 5 liters in it to get the right level.
As long as you are checking it correctly and on a level surface, I say give it what it needs.

Which model do you have?
12 V/Oil Pump/$25/ is ways better & cheaper than an extractor.
That setup should work too.

I’ve been reviewing studies on this. Placement on the mk6 makes all of the difference. Causing no left over oil, sludge or build up.
