Our society all too often ignores mental health issues. Plus, most people just don't understand them. That includes most of the professional agencies we all depend on, starting with the insurance companies. Heck, I've even seen doctors dismiss them. Partly because they all too often don't understand them, unless that's their specialty. Also, there's this concept in all of the professions, from Education to Law Enforcement, that is called 'the least restrictive environment'. Unless they can prove that the person is at risk of causing harm to themselves or others, they are usually not allowed to do anything. Even then, their higher ups won't back them up or follow through. Oh, eventually, they might load them up with meds, but all too often, not the other support they, and society, needs for proper treatment. About the only exception is for substance abuses. Plenty of things out there for that, but not enough for all of those other illnesses.

Any person that has ever been abused by a person who acts or behaves like they are bipolar or borderline and a narcissist can tell you exactly what happened to this woman... And there is no help... Because they seem to be very good at flipping the crazy at the sane person in the relationship. The police are very quick to judge and very quick to dismiss what they are told whats honestly happening, even with evidence shown.... The sane person gets labeled as crazy and after a while and nothing being done to stop it, you do end up feeling that way...
