I love the way that One Piece anime is trying out different animation styles throughout this arc instead of sticking to just one cuz it shows the special touch of the animation directors provide that make them unique

@@saiyan_og9678 Yeah the animation at the end of super was crisp too bad the whole show couldn't keep that pace for obvious budget reasons, but it would've been cool and made a lot of that half filler show more watchable sad to see how Dragonball has fallen and like whats going on with season 2 of super are they just not going to animate it cause their scared or something.
I think oda is planning on taking a break from artistic side and probably looking only to focus on story.
I'm honestly surprised he didn't use Gomu-Gomu no Bell to get a little extra power in the struggle. He might have still gone through the floor, but Ulti might have been flung back too.

It’s called color of Haki Luffys color of Haki is red. Different people have different type of color of Haki. Stated in ONE PIECE fandom article “Haki”. For an example doflamingo color of Haki is purple, and pink for Big mom. And it shows up when two strong Conqueror's Haki users clash like when Rogers and Newgate clashed.

Ikr, it was done thing during the Doflamingo fight back during Dresrosa, they made it more interesting but they know it downplayed luffy's instant win, this just makes no sense because first off, how is Ulti still putting pressure on the attack? They should of just made the floor buckle quickly rather than drag it out.
@@funkmantim2661 it makes no sense, they try to do the dragon ball z energy clash but it doesnt make sense for physical attacks, also in the doflamingo fight luffy clashes with a stretched arm, RUBBER DOESNT KEEP STRETCHING AFTER ITS MOMENTUM STOPS, in fact its the exact opposite.

Underestimating who's who I don't see ulti lasting as long as whos who did with jinbei
@@waynicliz she got up from a signature Yonko attack with a hole in her stomach...while Who's Who broke his bones on Jinbei's Haki. Base Ulti's Haki was able to match base Luffy's haki. I don't see Base Luffy nor Ulti breaking bones on Jinbei's Haki. Also her Zoan Haki was strong enough to make Luffy go Gear 4.

I noticed a lot of people saying this makes Luffy look weak. But actually it's pretty baddass to just shrug this sort of attack off like it's nothing.
And when you look at it objectively, One Piece is full of moments like this. From the start Luffy is always "the tank" his whole thing is he takes punches and shrugs them off.
Actually most of the strong characters in One Piece, one thing they tend to have in common is not going all out on low tier enemies. Which is why you won't see Big Mom instakill Chopper and Usop.
I think it's also worth mentioning Luffy only defended against the attack, and not clash her attack with his own, he was just defending and his footing gave away.

When all that scream build up you would think they were turning into super Saiyans.
Remember: Base form Luffy is around the strength of a yonko first commander, maybe a little bit lower. It's only when he goes into the other gears does he become low-yonko level (mid to high-yonko in gear 5).
Not really correct, it's the haki mostly that makes up for the difference. Luffy in base form with ryou haki was able to damage kaido, especiallly when he brought up advanced conquerors haki. So to me it made no sense Uti even held on for that long, but maybe luffy was just not using ryou haki on his forehead idk.

@@SungDripWooGoatedAlso a bit late but I doubt that. Lucci with just armament alone was able to get past Sentomaru's advanced armament haki. And Luffy was a newcomer when using it. If we're talking base advanced armament haki, I could see Ulti getting past Luffy still. Internal damage haki though Ulti might lose against.
