By the way, those dash vents do need a 2.5" hole. They unthread and split apart to be installed in the hole. Then you thread the vent into the coupler.

Interesting; I would very much like to see how those split apart. I can say the way I did install them has held up over time. Thanks for watching and commenting!

Yamaha makes a retrofit kit now the taps in to the thermostat housing and pulls the coolant before it goes to the radiator lines. Even if the thermostat is closed you get heat directly from the engine. It illuminates the cycling In the heater so that it’s consistently blowing warm air. The new kid that superseded the kit you installed comes with the part. It’s $125 at Yamaha. Thanks for your video I’ll be sure to watch the ones for draining the coolant. I purchased a kit yesterday And I am yet to install it. Your video is a good breakdown of the machine even though my parts are a bit different I’m sure this was of benefit. Thanks for your efforts it’s very much appreciated.

Had my heater installed by local dealer. They have one hose hooked to blower and split to each vent. Other hose just opens to the floor. But when heater is on it’s blowing air out that hose to No where. Is that the correct set up ?

That does not match what the Yamaha installation instructions call for. I would ask the dealer to produce the instructions and prove they completed the work accordingly. Thanks for watching!
