      @corporatebreakoutcouple Loved the video. We currently stay in Adelaide, South Australia, and we like how it's not as busy as bigger cities such as Sydney and Melbourne. We have been thinking of finding a city in Malaysia that is not too busy either, while still offering good healthcare and international/private school education for our kids. We were thinking of Penang. However your vid on Malacca has got us curious. Do you reckon it offers good quality healthcare and education? Or should we not consider Malacca. The housing price in Malacca and its relative proximity to KL are two of the many benefits too

      @@yasarwaqar6002 for international schools and healthcare, we would recommend Penang.
      Malacca is still a small town that has not yet caught up (which lends its charm). Good for retirement but not that great for kids

    We loved Melaka! :D Can definitely see a lot more care and wellness centres around too which highlights their focus on health. Stay at the seaside which was recently reclaimed.

      We also went to the new capitol! the new sauce every serving definitely more hygienic but lost some depth of flavour (maybe due to the constant cooking in the past)

      Melaka definitely had her charms.

      @@NomadBunBear we wanted to try another satay celup place but it was closed that day. Capitol is unique in the sense that they have the individual sauce.

    Hi thanks for the informative video! As a foreigner, I've always wanted to retire in Malaysia, but the threshold for KL is 1 million, so I've also tried to live in Penang to feel the taste of life there. While great food and also low cost of living, I can't stand the heat and humidity 😅, and so many cemeteries there. Tell me please, someone said that Meleka is even worse in temperature wise, is it true? 😂

    • @corporatebreakoutcouple
      @corporatebreakoutcouple  6 месяцев назад +1

      Malacca's temperature should be roughly the same as KL's.
      No doubt that Penang island is hotter and more humid because it's a small island and a lot of wind is trapped between the hills.

    I heard there is threshold of 1 million for properties as a foreigner. However, if a foreigner wants to buy multiple properties for business purpose, is it then possible to buy these 300k ringit houses ?

      @@corporatebreakoutcouple great, happy for you both. In Penang Island or Mainland is best to retirement? I have been having this confusion for very long. It would be great to hear your suggestions

    • @corporatebreakoutcouple
      @corporatebreakoutcouple  9 месяцев назад +1

      @@vive928 Fran is from Penang Island, so our answer is always the island! Ok, apart from the bias, the island would give you the real taste of retired life because of the beaches, the hills, the numerous hotel resorts where one can sip drinks during sunset, the amazing hawker food, quaint cafes, the beautiful marina at Straits Quay and one can always hop over to the mainland to explore for the day.
      We will be covering more on the mainland in the future, so stay tuned. You can also check out our video about Early Retirement In Penang video.

      @@corporatebreakoutcouple great thanks for the insights. will check it out.. if I am a mountains person.. which location would you recommend for buying our retirement home? and apartment/landed which is better. Thanks again. Plz keep posting youtube videos...👍by the way which area you chose for retirement in Penang :)

    • @corporatebreakoutcouple
      @corporatebreakoutcouple  9 месяцев назад +1

      @@vive928 Penang is a small island so there are hills all around Penang. There is a small hill right behind our house! There are over 80 hiking trails in Penang island itself.
      Honestly, we would suggest you rent rather than buy a place. Supply is more than demand. Resale value in Malaysia isn't robust.
