hi everyone! doing my own nails has been such a fun hobby for me and i hope it's something that you guys can enjoy too! i hope you've all been taking care of yourselves and doing things that make you happy 💙 love you guys!
Wait I’m so excited you upload this one. I’ve always been interested in seeing how you do your nails! Going to a salon all the time can be so annoying. 😅
I'm also not a professional, but I've been doing my own nails for a while. I recommend using an e-file to etch the underside of the nail and to remove all the shine off the top of the nail. It helps the nails last longer, and gives the gel something to hold onto. My nails would fall off at work all the time before I started doing this, and I highly recommend it :D
I love your tutorial! I've been feeling really intimidated by all the tutorials I've seen on doing these nails but your tutorial just made me want to buy a whole set of tools to do my nails at home, it looks super fun✨
I have been looking forward to this video for so long!!!! It's so cool that you taught yourself how to do this, thank you so much for explaining it so well!!
You did a good job. I like to use a cuticle pumice stick for my cuticles and it helps scuff the edges. A little tip, don’t shake the gel up it creates bubbles, instead tilt the bottle a little bit like you’re gonna drink the bottle and then hold it it in your palms and rub your palms together.
Im not a professional but a good hack I've seen is if your doing a design once your done with your base color like in this video the base color was the nude pinky color, you put a top coat on and then do your design just so if you mess up it will be easier to take off without little hairs or anything getting on it! Love this video and im so obsessed with the flower its so adorable!
I'm not a professional but I have been doing my nails for a while and you can use a thicker coat of the nail polish if you think it's too tedious to do thin coats because most gel polishes have different amounts of time needed to cure depending on the formula so whatever time is given should be enough to cure a thin layer as well as a thick layer. Also the set came out so cute!
Thankyou for posting such useful videos.this is the kind of video i needed to see. I have the same products that you are using in this video which makes it even more perfect for me. I got more confidence to do my nails now. 😊
If you want to avoid bubbles or pooling on your base coat you need to buff the shine off. Once you've buffed them, wipe with some alcohol then add your base coat. This will help them last longer. Or you can use a chemical etcher. I'm also not a nail tech, but I do my own press one too.
so i have most of this and never thought to do my own press ons! love this and ty for sharing the tips used, I find those helpful when ppl actually do as they say lol
You did a fab job! Btw, if you need to fix a mistake with a design, put a tiny bit of acetone on a small brush and wipe it off. I wouldn't recommend a paper towel as it will leave behind lint aka fuzz. Lol. I'm in my 40s and have been doing my own nails since I was really young. I feel old 😂😊
Ive done my own nails 3X with gel and didn’t develop an allergy. But once I learned about nail allergies too I am going to be cautious and do your method! Better to be safe than sorry.
yesss! i have been waiting for this >.< though, not sure if i wld be able to actually do it, im just so curious !! 🫶 edit: i like this angle so much, so refreshing 🫧
i use those little flossers and wedge them under my nails when i can tell they're going to fall off soon and they usually pop right off! but in the beginning when i was using too much glue i had to soak them in warm water and olive oil!
It could be your nail lamp, possibly not enough watts. 48w is probably the lowest watt lamp I'd go with. Anything lower will take forever to get your nails to cure. The higher the wattage the quicker the gel cures. Hope this helps.

Hi Kenna. My sister, Katie, is a fan of yours. She loves your videos. But she was diagnosed with cancer recently. She was going through treatment, but her cancer ended up getting worse. So she probably doesn't have much time left before she passes away. Would you like to leave a message for her?
I’ve being using press on nails from SHEIN and now my nails grow wrinkled😭 I miss living in Russia where every girl can afford the best quality nails done in a salon for $20, now I live in USA and here ppl can’t afford it😩

Rubbing a primer also works instead of e file

Hi! How do you remove your nails?
I’m not a nail tech but this is what l do when doing gel x press ons even when l do glue l cure them so it’ll definitely last longer
Hey Kenna! Do you do your own toe nails too? I’ll go to salon for a manicure, but I’m too ticklish for a pedi 🤣
What's the glue that you used?
vlogmas? :)

I understood the allergy comes from trying to used uv gel to adhere press ons because the gel cannot cure through them.

im curious on how you remove them!! I also tried a similar nail glue but it was so hard to remove them and i felt like it did damage to my nails
i use those little flossers and wedge them under my nails when i can tell they're going to fall off soon and they usually pop right off! but in the beginning when i was using too much glue i had to soak them in warm water and olive oil!
My gel never cures when I use my nailstand, even if it’s under there for multiple minutes. Anyone any idea why and how can I fix it?
It could be your nail lamp, possibly not enough watts. 48w is probably the lowest watt lamp I'd go with. Anything lower will take forever to get your nails to cure. The higher the wattage the quicker the gel cures. Hope this helps.
Wait what gel allergies is she talking about? Is she referring to contact dermatitis?
Can i have a great idea for content?? ❤❤
Nail glue can also cause allergies so be careful with that too!
