Here are some extra wishes for Maple 2025 from a high school teacher
    * Add 2-dimensional and 3-dimensional vectors to the expression palette (My students keep using the binomial coefficient)
    * Introduce a simple way to do realsolve (Only accept real solutions).
    * Allow me to use the arrow keys to move out of an equation, so I can always place a text field between two equations
    * Allow me to use the mouse to mark some text and directly turn it into a math-field.
    * Option to change background color of all math fields, so I always know if I am in math mode.
    * Use a special color for those math fields that have not been executed and for nonexecutable math
    * Color the unmatched bracket, whenever the student has forgotten to write a bracket.
In the long run it could be great to have error messages that offer a fix: "I think that you forgot a bracket. Press here to add it"

The argument completion looks nice though.

More ideas for error messages that offer a fix.
You wrote A+2. Did you mean a+2?
You wrote e. Did you mean Euler's number?
You wrote f (x). Did you mean f(x) without a space?
You wrote f´(x). Did you mean f'(x)?
You wrote dx. Did you mean to close an integral?
You wrote plot(f). Did you mean plot(f(x))?
You wrote solve(eq). Did you mean solve(eq,x)?

Thank you for the feedback - we always appreciate it! We've taken note of your comments for the future improvement of Maple, but in the meantime here’s a couple of things that might help:
      * To mark some text and turn it into math you could highlight the text, then right-click and select Convert to>2D Math Input;.
      * For realsolve you could try to pass with(RealDomain) at top of the document or in the startup code of your worksheet, as this could be helpful in many cases.
      * We have introduced the bracket matching feature in the code edit region, so that could be an option if your students are writing long lines of code, but we are considering implementing it in other Maple document areas.

Can't wait to try out the Maple 🍁 2024 version.
For my specific use as a teacher it has some very interesting news. I think my students will agree with me.
In general I'm disappointed in the generative language models out there, but it seems Maplesoft knows how to incorporate AI effectively into Maple 🍁.

As an alternative to language models, it could be interesting to have a menu of simple recipes. So given a simple function f, the student may wish to
Plot he graph, find minima, find extrema, find roots, get the equation of a tangent line, find intersection with the graph of another function.
Ideally each recipe should generate maple code that is added to the document. This way the students can learn proper Maple while browsing a menu system.

Thank you for you comment; have you considered using the intelligent context panel? It allows the user to apply a wide range of commands in just a click. Once a command has been applied to an expression via the context panel the user can the see the Maple code behind the operation by doing right-click on the arrow and then "Show command".
We are delivering free Maple bootcamp sessions for students and teachers to get them started with Maple 2024, but also to show some tips and tricks like the one above, and would be happy to schedule one with your class. For more information or to book a session, take a look at www.maplesoft.com/contact/webforms/bootcamp.aspx or email info@maplesoft.com

You would think that people so brilliant that they can produce amazing software like Maple could also perform the simple task of recording clear audio with their presentation. I guess not.
