I think most software companies can learn from Lightburn! The new monthly subscription business model is hurting a lot of good folks who are just hobbyists. I'm happy Lightburn didn't go this route.
I am so grateful for finding you on RUclips. You have taught me so much about lightburn. Now my problem is trying to retain all the great info.... You are the best teacher, especially for those of us that need to follow along on our lightburn as you show us.
I've just joined a laser engravers group on FB here in Central Europe, and one of my first posts was recommendation of your RUclips channel. I don't know how many people here can speak English, but maybe some of them do, so they can enjoy all videos of yours. Keep it up 👍.
Of course Rich, I’ll be here until the end. I’m loving this teaching side of you. When you talk, it’s not a monotone voice and that alone keeps me watching. Your teaching technique is very good by the way you do the teaching a couple times so if we minutely missed something, we will catch it the second time. Keep them coming, I’m learning more with every video
I don't comment nearly enough, but your videos are worth it. Your instruction is so valuable, and your technique makes following along very easy. Thank you for all of your efforts and work to help us be better laser users. You rock!
Thank you, Rich! You make all this look so easy. I continually learn new tricks, thanks to you. One "biggie" I learned from this video is how to move around without a mouse 👏 That will save me so much time as I've been zooming back out and focusing in again, trying to get exactly where I wanted to be. ugh! You are a lifesaver!! (Or at least a time saver!! lol) Thanks soooo much!!! 😍
I do like this format, I never want to say anything to offend you because you are so knowledgeable with Lightburn and I am totally inept but being more focused on a single task makes it easier for me to learn.
Several 'aha!' moments in this video. I recently learned that if I am in mm and type 10in in the size field, it converts the 10 inches into mm. Today I learned that I can do math operations in that field also! So many cool features I had no idea were there. Thank you for taking the time to show us and really explain what you're doing. That makes all the difference! I appreciate you, Rich!
Rich, Draz here from your forums, you are one of the best teachers I have ever listened to, I'm a noob to this with 4 months of owning my laser , your videos help me greatly, thank you..
great tips rich please keep teaching more tips like this in lightburn these are the very usefull tips for everyone i am learing the lightburn better every day thank you
Great video, thank you! Another tip I learned as a complete beginner is that my Lightburn was in "Beginner Mode" so I did not see the "set shape start point" button. If anyone else was missing this button, go into Edit > Settings and within the Display/Graphics section, turn off Beginner Mode (Simpler Interface).
Great Idea. I learned Lightburn using your original tutorial...binge watched it. I refer to it constantly. I know I will find a solution somewhere in your videos. This format is targeted, I don't have to search or remember where I saw the Lightburn technique that I need. Thanks again, you are my Yoda. Steve OBTW...graduate Kenner Jr Hi, East Jefferson Hi. Go Saints!
Rich, I think I have the circular array tool figured out. That tool does NOT like to work on my laptop so I got a desktop. Works like it’s supposed to. The more I listen to you the smarter you become!!! 😊
Rich, I have learned so you I can't thank you enough. You mentioned something that I could have used yesterday, and that is how to find something that gets lost on the screen, I hope that sounded right.
A BIG THANK YOU Rich for this video and the format you are starting, even though all you other videos are just as good, this way it great. And with the clock one this has just come in handy for me righ now, as I am going to be making a clock, with a hunting scene and using old shotgun cartridges as numbers, and now I can use the circle array tool to make dots when I need to drill the holes for the shells to sit. And yes I did watch the whoe video as well. Coz if you dont you are likey to miss something little hint that could be important to make the project work 🙂
As always, another great video! You have a fantastic ability as a teacher. Thank you so much for your time putting these together. When I need to figure something out, I always reference your video library first!
Thanks Rich for all the videos you do. I wouldn't be as far into my laser journey without them. I watch as many of them as I can, when I can and there's nothing wrong with a little bit of self promotion lol. All your loyal supporters will totally understand. So please keep it all going as you are mate. All the best from Australia
Hey Rich, I'm still here. I like your new format. You have a great way of describing elements of Lightburn that makes it very easy to follow I am about one year into lasers now and you have been one of the most valuable assets and inspirations I have found on RUclips. Thanks!
Thanks for the tutorial. Have been watching them since I purchased my first laser. Have several friends getting into lasers and have highly recommended them to put you on their subscribe list. Thx again and keep those videos coming.
Great video Rich,,,,I've been watching and learning from you for a couple of years. Wow four topics covered in less than 30 min, again wow! Like the new video format much better.
Hi Rich I am watching you in Ireland and I think you are the best teacher I’ve ever had. New format is great but I like seeing you projects too. Thanks again. Ronan
I am so glad you take the time to learn all this and show us in the way you do. I could have never accomplished as much as I have on Lightburn with out your help. TY
yea!!! Although the projects told of the possibilities, we newbies need to know function. I had my laser for a while, watch one of your earlier videos and was brave enough to dive in. Thank you
Rich first off, congratulations on 75k subscribers 👏 I love watching your tutorials. I've learned so much over the last two & a bit years. Thanks again from over the pond 🇬🇧
Hey Rich, I was just trying to figure out the aligning shapes thing for an arcade trackball cut out. Prefect timing. I got through it ok, but this video ADDED to my knowledge level with alternative options. Thanks for this video!!!!
Thank you so much, again! 😊 You already taught me so much in all your video's but just today I stumbled on some basics I couldn't figure out. And here they are, it's just what I needed!!
Hello Sir. Awesome video. Coming back to basics sometimes is the best thing, and at the same time by refreshing those technics we can learn something new. Awesome. Thank you !!
I still would like to see videos on how you go about making different things. I do like this new format I learn a lot. There so much to learn. just keep doing what you do best TEACH us.
A mix of reviews, project and education, heavy on the educational would be great. Very few presenters educate the basics anymore and that is a shame as there are always new folks picking up the hobby. Thanks for the work and content you make available.
One minor comment Rich. On mirror across a line the line doesn't have to be a tool path and can be diagonal or horizontal. Also to mirror across a shape just draw a line down it's center. Thank you for this review!!!
Just renewed my LB license yesterday. Wonderful software and instruction from you! I would watch in whatever format was given no matter what. Thanks again for the vid.
Really liked this video. I appreciate you going back to this format. Oh, well I don't use the radius tool anymore Bob. With the item selected, if you hold control, a little blue dot appears in the corner that you can drag. It replaced the radius tool.
*Thank you all so much for watching!* _I have the BEST subscribers!_
I think it’s amazing how full featured Lightburn is for serving such a niche market. Microsoft could learn from these guys.
I think most software companies can learn from Lightburn! The new monthly subscription business model is hurting a lot of good folks who are just hobbyists. I'm happy Lightburn didn't go this route.
You have got to be the best teacher for explaining how to use Lightburn that I have ever seen and also how to properly use you laser.
Wow! Thank you so much! I appreciate the comment!

Yes I still have most of my lasers, and once you learn how to use them, it makes no difference what laser you use. It's sort of like giving a mechanic China made tools instead of Snap-On. They will still get the job done, but maybe not quite as efficiently or quickly.
