You missed the Easter egg where in the purge episode where morty tells you shouldn’t start your story at the middle of the story which they actually do in this episode
You can find evidence of this in the egg destroying scene in aliens as well as the alien isolation video game (which is considered canon) where the game is basically put on easy mode once you get the flamethrower.
I know that this whole episode is very obviously a nod to the alien series but I preserved it as the flame throwers from the thing. Being the sole killing weapons of power for these scientist surviving against a very deadly species.
Honestly, why don't the face huggers just get themselves a few Meeseek boxes? They could face hug the Meeseeks and live for 30 minutes (or even less) until they could make an egg and die, and the Meeseeks would love the idea bc they wanna die
@@flotskryz the animation process goes through atleast 8 different graphic designers, u think 8 people fucked up frame by frame pictures that they had to redraw dozens of times? about 5 seconds of rick wearing a seatbelt is easily like 30 different pictures of rick wearing that seatbelt, and u think 8 qualified artists fucked up 30 different times?
dont know if anyone caught this but in the unity episode in season 2 when theyre on the ship in the beginning rick tells summer and morty “if you find a room full of eggs dont shy away pick them up and give them a shake those face huggers are worth a ton” its a cool bit of continuity
The one thing you never mentioned is that the "peaceful race" also has to hijack the bodies of other races to live sooooooooo.... I still think Rick and Morty were justified.
It also turns out that they don't have to end their life really quickly and if they could develop a highly developed world if they could just not do that for a single damn day.
I like how both visits to the planet bring the exact same result. First time they think they are the victims taking revenge, and the second time when they realize they behaved like clumsy ignorants and only want Summer back - both end in genocide. Diplomacy was never an option. Pretty dark actually.
Wait, in an other episode Rick said that they change dimensions again, so those are not the same bodies, but that means that every time they have to change dimensions they have to rebury their bodies again and again
Fun fact that big ass laser that Rick fires is striking similar to the railgun from the resident evil 3 remake that dropped just last month, and it has the identical effect. It might just be a crazy coincidence but yeah funny thing.
After seeing the whole 'harmonica makes them explode' bit, I think Morty's harmonica making the facehuggers prematurely explode their eggs might be a reference to the way a song made the 'Martian's' heads explode in the movie 'Mars Attacks'.
"None of your heroes are good people especially the scrappy ones........ You know which heroes I find most charming and relatable? The ones that are scrappy"
5:15 the building they destroyed seemed to have a cross on top and I thought this was supposed to represent the Notre Dame Church which burnt down in France last year, similar to how they called upon other tragedies such as the World Trade Center towers of 9/11 and Pearl Harbor.
5:23 I wonder if the seat belt has any parallel to playing it safe not going after the 911 joke? Which is missing when you view them from the back as they joke about not making a 911 joke.
During the montage of stuff with the Glorzos planning their city, Summer guides Morty's body away from the plans for the monument/rocket and you can see the Glorzo on Rick look shocked/hurt.
Rick and Morty vs a Peaceful People was the Episode we didn't want... but it was the Episode we needed. Edit: GOD DANG IT I HAD NO IDEA HOW DARK THIS WAS!!!!
You have to realize that in J. Robert Oppenheimers apology video he said "I am become death, the destroyer of worlds" because of how he planed the attack on Japan because of how they bombed pearl harbor.
Awesome job as always!! I think when Rick says I am the god of death it's a reference to a Julius Oppenheimer quote, one of the creators of the atom bomb, "Now I am become death, the destroyer of world" which is taken from Hindu scripture, the Bhagavad Gita and said by Vishnu in it. Love you guys!!! Never stop!
oohhh the graves. Missed that. I still thing Ricks grave should be more recently disturbed.. because you know.. Summer grave robbing portal guns and all...

oke
Rick and Morty vs a Peaceful People was the Episode we didn't want... but it was the Episode we needed.
you didn't point out how stupid it was that they are very overpowered and then give up and go to prison
You missed the Easter egg where in the purge episode where morty tells you shouldn’t start your story at the middle of the story which they actually do in this episode
Always take more Adderall
The “let’s use flamethrowers next time” was also a reference to their effectiveness in the alien franchise.
You can find evidence of this in the egg destroying scene in aliens as well as the alien isolation video game (which is considered canon) where the game is basically put on easy mode once you get the flamethrower.
Nice catch.
Why use a flamethrower if you can use a HEAVY FLAMER
I know that this whole episode is very obviously a nod to the alien series but I preserved it as the flame throwers from the thing. Being the sole killing weapons of power for these scientist surviving against a very deadly species.
Honestly, why don't the face huggers just get themselves a few Meeseek boxes? They could face hug the Meeseeks and live for 30 minutes (or even less) until they could make an egg and die, and the Meeseeks would love the idea bc they wanna die
GENIUS :O
i don't think Meeseeks have biological bodies so they cant pro-create
dont meeseeks never die they just flash out of existence?
@JoGeJo wouldn't they fulfill their request when they help the face suckers
@JoGeJo allow me to make an egg from you after 30 minutes.
SWEET!
10 minutes later: i cant take this any MORE!!!
I get excited for these videos just as much as the actual episode
DaVinci 3 totally bc ep one was confusing af. this helps me understand the layers and also the planning that goes into it
Me too
Lol me too!
Do you suffer from Alzheimer?
Same
Do you suffer from Alzheimer's? Do you suffer from Alzheimer's? Do You suffer from Alzheimer's?
That killed me
Wish it would have that would have been funny
It obviously didn’t kill you because you typed the comment
The twin towers and Pearl Harbor part killed me 😂
He’s not wearing the seatbelt immediately after that cut though 😂
Most likely an animation error
@@flotskryz Rick rarely wears the belt, you'd think the animators would know..

The harmonica killing the aliens was a reference to mars attacks
Totally....
Damn. You beat me by an hour. Just posted that up top, so sorry about the redundant comment.
And Spaceballs
And "Attack of the killer tomatoes"
When they showed the twin towers I was like no guys no don't do it.
I wish they wouldn't have said anything about it after they went past though.
@Joosie Jones would have made for a stronger joke with silence until they saw Glorzo Pearl Harbor. We all guessed that 9-11 joke would be a low-blow.
It's f****** disgusting guys
1st thing I've ever caught yall miss!
6:15 "I am the God of death" is a reference to Oppenheimers "God of death" quote after the atomic bombs dropped
I like how everyone cares about the 9/11 but doesnt about the pearl harbor
I remember getting hyped during the pearl harbor scene from that Micheal Bay movie.
@@ethananthony8439 destabilising the middle east isn't revenge?
I've been thinking this isn't our normal Rick and Morty all season
rgonz81 ikr they seemed different in this episode
It was also sung by Princess Vespa in SPACEBALLS , where Lonestar and Barf comment... "She's a bass!"
The one thing you never mentioned is that the "peaceful race" also has to hijack the bodies of other races to live sooooooooo....
I still think Rick and Morty were justified.
Yeah, but they also murdered all the aliens who were victims to the face-huggers.
I mean, we kill and eat the flesh of other species to live, the facehugger aliens probably see other alien races the same way.
It also turns out that they don't have to end their life really quickly and if they could develop a highly developed world if they could just not do that for a single damn day.

SanjiMakesEdibles thank you Sanji-san. The scene was at the 18:04 mark.
I watched the whole episode; it was awesome😎
That do you suffer from alzheimers bit killed me.
“Nobody knows the trouble ... Princess Vespa , Spaceballs.
She's a bass!
9:42 also sang by Little Bunny FuFu in Wee Sing's "Big Rock Candy Mountain".
RUclips put the comments back where they belong!
Blake Austin for me its in the same place
NO! I like them at the top, so you don't have to scroll down past the other videos to get to them.
You sir are in the minority.
RealCrustyCrab you might have to update the app
@@Spinach_Dip93 It is weird because I have 2 profiles in the same account but only this one has the comments on top

"None of your heroes are good people especially the scrappy ones........ You know which heroes I find most charming and relatable? The ones that are scrappy"
You missed another Star Wars reference: Rick and Morty do a Holdo Maneuver when they jump into hyperspace when leaving the planet for the first time.
Who else didn’t hear “yeehaw”
Remember when Morty didn't want to shoot an alien in the piolet. Now he's as bad as Rick.
Maybe thats how evil morty became evil
Maybe is a time loop. This morty eventually will become evil morty as time goes by. Evil morty can be this morty from the future
I think that this season we are following a different rick and morty, not the Rick and Morty we know and thats why they're acting so differently.
If that's the case they wouldn't have buried bodies in their backyard, or many they would? Infinite universes makes anything possible.
I think many of the episodes are following different R&M’s.
Anyone notice the alien that shows up near the end of the episode, their ship is identical to Buzz light-year’s packaging
Nobody Knows the Trouble I've Seen was also sung by princess vespa in spaceballs
The worst thing is how incredibly easily Rick and Morty were freed from their face huggers, making the whole slaughter even more unnecessary.
The Buddy Christ!
so if u were kidnapped and used as a puppet, wouldn't you want revenge?
@@ricklyjohnson7239 I'm talking about the slaughter of the people underneath, not the face huggers themselves.
Regardless, revenge isn't justice.
The plates on the dashboard are likely there because they probably said they were going to finish eating in the next room only to leave.
Can we get a nod to the harmonic tune killing the aliens like the Yodeling in Mars Attacks?!
11:47, oh like thats helping 😆
That "Leetha?" gag still makes me laugh out loud every damn time.
Another detail is the lazer in point 9 is a nod to the rail gun in the re3 remake the way it opens up after its deployed
5:15 the building they destroyed seemed to have a cross on top and I thought this was supposed to represent the Notre Dame Church which burnt down in France last year, similar to how they called upon other tragedies such as the World Trade Center towers of 9/11 and Pearl Harbor.
When they speak of the shortfilm, they were speaking of operator
You possibly missed the Easter egg to Mars attacks in this episode. Where a song ends up causing the aliens to explode
wow never thought about it when they hyperspeed too near to the ground
Cricia really has something about people close to summer.
6:20 is a reference to light-speeding through another ship in a Star Wars episode 8
Josh Kirkma
Josh Kirkman
,
I thought the Morty song that wrought havoc was a nod to Mars Attacks where cowboy yodeling tunes make the Martians' heads explode...
billybob lillybob it is and it took too damn long to find anyone who noticed
Episodes 6 and 7 seem completely off from the first 5 and I’m not sure how I feel about that.
The eminem store thing was a "venom movie" reference i think...
*M&M Store
Easily my favorite episode of szn 4 so far
5:23 I wonder if the seat belt has any parallel to playing it safe not going after the 911 joke? Which is missing when you view them from the back as they joke about not making a 911 joke.
Anyone notice rick wasnt drunk this whole episode
OMG yes
Face huggers dont die after 30 mins if they chose not to multiply that was the whole point of it
During the montage of stuff with the Glorzos planning their city, Summer guides Morty's body away from the plans for the monument/rocket and you can see the Glorzo on Rick look shocked/hurt.
Morty's armor looks like a MegaMan X amor
The "Nobody Knows the Trouble I've Seen" part seemed like a nod to Princess Vespa in jail in Spaceballs.
Rick and Morty vs a Peaceful People was the Episode we didn't want... but it was the Episode we needed. Edit: GOD DANG IT I HAD NO IDEA HOW DARK THIS WAS!!!!
Those aliens were about as peaceful as the space pods from Invasion of the Body Snatchers.
This is the best channel on RUclips. I was really hoping you guys would do more Picard videos!!
"I think that's in bounds". LOL !! I love it
6:00 a reference to Oppenheimer's "Now I am become death" quote, maybe?
9:45 It was also sung by Princess Vespa in Spaceballs
When are gonna do a video on solar opposites
Omg, can't believe you didn't catch that Morty singing that song in prison is a Spaceballs callback!
It’s a prison song. It’s not calling back anything.
Pretty sure the M&M store thing was to indicate to the audience that early civilization was there (in this case summer)
Will you guys do a video on JL dark apocalypse war
You have to realize that in J. Robert Oppenheimers apology video he said "I am become death, the destroyer of worlds" because of how he planed the attack on Japan because of how they bombed pearl harbor.
Morty’s harmonica song over the speakers could be a reference to the 1996 movie Mars Attacks! where the martians blow up due to a song at the end
I noticed how right before the 911 reference the seatbelt was off of Rick
Awesome job as always!! Or maybe he's wearing a seatbelt after going through a windscreen and getting impaled
4:15
Not one "Yee haw!"
That's what I was saying
11:46 Can't believe you didn't catch that Mars Attacks reference.
I'm No.11 Rick says I'm the God of death as an reference to the Oppenheimer speech regarding the atomic bombing
Love all of you at New Rockstars, hope all friends and family are all healthy. And everyone else of course 😆. Keep up the amazing work.
Do you suffer from Alzheimer’s? (x ♾)
Why would you ask that
We also see that Rick likes to Freeball while Morty wears underware
The thing at 2:40 is basically Infowars, PJW, Steven Crowder and Rebel TV etc.
I took the "hosts are biologically designed" bit as a jab at creationism.
The face huggers kinda look like the brain things from that one Ben 10 episode
I still remember the Alien ship in that Unity episode
"All words are made up"
*Ok Thor*
9:53 also sung by Princess Vespa in Space Balls
I saw the episode and I was waiting for this vid
iv been watching this channel for over an hour now
8:02 Did you say ""charged, middle eastia?" thats crazy

Ryan Vogel * peace 😂
Omg you guys are sooo deep you analyzed a cartoon
The harmonica is a knob to twilight zone
4:58 katerino
I was waiting for the episode to release on Netflix to watch it correctly
Isnt the honey also a nod to the bee movie i swear one of the containers for honey in that movie is a bear with the same red topping
Thats a great westworld shirt! Shout out to Giggles Mr. Voss. Youre the man
the huge gun looks like from resident evil 3 remake and vendetta.
Are you guys gonna do anything on Solar Opposites
That egg forcing is probably the "g note" made fun of by south park
You didn’t get the Spaceballs joke with Morty that song in the prison?
So this episode again destroys all teh theories about the mom being a clone. harmon is keeping it fresh and unpredictable.
How?
I don’t get why they were the bad guys considering the face huggers were planning to go to earth and effectively take over.
