I raise my glass to Mike and attempt to beat his story:
I'm from Austria, and our proms here are very, very, VERY fancy - like, ballroom dancing fancy, everyone's there, parents, teachers, people from other schools, socialites, newspapers - it's a really posh event, we had about 1000 guests at our ball (it's honestly not about the seniors, Austrians just like to use every opportunity they have to get drunk).
Anyway, the whole senior year had to do an 'opening number' somewhat in the middle of the evening - everyone was tipsy by that point. So we go along, have our performance in our white ball gowns and black tuxes, the headmaster gives a speech about how we are amazing and smart young people (giggling from everywhere since he hated us), and then we had to do a Viennese Waltz, the classes as well as the teachers. About 400 people were in the ballroom at that point. The headmaster walked to the middle of the dance floor with his wife - everyone got into position - music starts.
At this point, I should say that neither my partner nor I were the best dancers, plus the alcohol didn't do us any favors.
So we waltz away - and I realized way too late that my partner was heading directly towards headmaster+wife. Long story short, I couldn't stop him/us anymore, we waltzed into them at full speed, fell over and brought them down with us - followed by at least 5 more couples tripping over us. Cameras flashed, we were the highlight of quite a few newspaper's social event pages, and I swear I've never been more embarrassed in my entire life.
Feeling better about the ass slapping/grabbing incident now? ;)

I just wanted to take this moment and say Thank you. You guys have been an inspiration to me for nearly 5 years. You guys cook phenomenal food, produce great content and have a laugh. You guys were the first channel I was subscribed to on RUclips and have loved you guys since. So thank you for all of that. Ben, you are a genius in the kitchen and a great sport. Whether that's the boys throwing pies in your face, smashing things over you head, you are the man. Jamie, you make me laugh on a daily basis. Whether that's with your 'great' Irish accent or your playful puns, you are just amazing. Mike, you are a great musician and an amazing part of the sorted crew, whether that's to do with your great, healthy lifestyle or cool sense of fashion. Barry, you are a phenomenal photographer and great fun to watch in the kitchen. Whether that's Ben telling you off for being a clutz for burning yourself with steam or just having fun. Nonetheless you guys are incredible and I hope to meet you one day.

I have a video request. Could you make a video focused around freezer meals. Like maybe healthy versions of frozen snacks like pizza rolls or hot pockets or taquitos? Just some small stuff that you can either make and eat immediately or make a bunch way ahead of time and keep in your freezer for a few months and are a better alternative to frozen processed foods? I love to cook but it takes time and sometimes its nice to have a really quick snack but processed foods all the time isn't a great thing. Keep up the good work :)

God, these older videos are gold. One, that scallop dish looks scrumptious, two, the shells are such a wonderful idea, and three, I've never tried capers before and now really want to. It's nice to get a bit of background history on the guys, I assumed by hadn't actually known that they went to school together.
Mike's story got me thinking about my school years- Between being terrified of the girl's locker room because other girls were hot and scary, knocking myself out with a basketball in gym class, and that one semester where everyone thought I was a Satanist, I had a er...interesting time in school.
Ben's story reminded me of so many times where I'd have a crush on a girl (or sometimes a guy) and they'd sort of use me for homework help or help in art class, this continued up until one summer right before my senior year where puberty finally worked it's magic, I grew a lot taller, thinned out, and went from boyish and pudgy to mousy knock off disney princess. People stopped assuming I knew anything about academics around that point.

My embarrassing story: During the swim season, which had ended a month before this story begins, I hurt my ankle and every once in a while it would just decide to stop holding me up and I'd go sprawling on the floor. This unfortunate occurrence happened at school only one time, but it was right in front of the meanest diva on campus. He laughed at me and stepped over me and then walked to class where he proceeded to tell the entire class about my stumble. Apparently he wasn't aware I was IN that class so he was talking about it when I walked in, I explained my injury to the entire class and then thanked them for their concern before sitting down in my seat with flames in my cheeks. So much fun haha

Ahahaha, I love this series so much! Can't wait for the next one! These stories remind me so much of my friends and me.
Embarrassing Story: In middle school, my friends and I were heading back to school for a concert or something because most of us were part of the tech crew. My best friend and his girlfriend (who is my cousin's sister-in-law) lagged behind because they'd had a bit of a fight and so I didn't think much of it. About two hours after setting up the sound system for the concert (or whatever it was), I got worried where the two had gone and so I went to look for them. After about half an hour, I found them outside in a place I'd checked earlier. When they saw me, they ran away (apparently they'd been hiding from me because they thought it would be funny [like a couple of jerks]). So, I ran after them. Since I'd gotten quite PO'd, I jumped over a fence to chase them, heard what sounded like ripping fabric (this didn't register in my mind), and then caught them. After doing so, I found that my bottom half felt quite breezy; my shorts had caught on the fence and ripped. To add some context to this, the fence I jumped over led to the sidewalk of a very busy street, so a bunch of random people saw my boxers and to add a cherry on top, when we got back to the school (where I was going to wait to get picked up), the girl that I really liked at the time arrived to also help and saw me with that giant rip. So uhh... yeah. I died a little inside that day, lol.

Rachael McInnes nothing beats mine. 11 years old in first year of secondary school. in the hall where we did physical education i was sat down on the wooden gym floor. i was only wearing a p.e skirt and some thin black nickers and then there was a massive gush that i felt under my bum. I ran straight out of the hall to the toilet to be followed by a boy and two girls from the p.e class who told me i left a puddle of blood where i had sat on the floor and a trail of drops of blood behind me whilst i was running. i can't believe my whole class witnessed my first period, and the funniest thing was that i didn't even know i was bleeding because of periods, i thought i was dying of excessive internal bleeding and was panicking. lol

One time we were playing some kind of baseball in school, I think I was about 12 or something like that.. It had similar rules but basically you just had to throw a ball as far away as you could, so that the other kids needed a long time to get it and bring it back. So, there was this one "trick" where you just dropped the ball straight on the floor without even throwing it a little bit, so that everyone got confused and it took them even longer to get the ball, now lying next to your feet. It was my turn and I was pretending to throw the ball just over my head but instead I wanted to drop it on the floor.. well, I went a little overboard with the direction, cause.. long story short: I threw the baseball backwards with quite a speed (don't ask me why) just into the balls of my sports teacher who was standing right behind me..

For some reason the close up of Barry in the beginning made me realize he has a moustache. I've been watching for years and it never clicked that the beard also included a moustache.

You guys are amazing. I have been a fan for over a year now. Do you make your own music for the videos? I love the music on this video!

It sounds quite nice ... but I'm deathly allergic to all shellfish, and not really ready to be all dead yet. What might you recommend as a sub for the scallops that isn't just "more cod"?

jmcosmos Maybe some smoked fish like haddock? Or you could even go with something like chorizo!

SORTED Food Smoked haddock ... that's a thought. And what kind of chorizo did you have in mind--Spanish, Portuguese, or Mexican? (The Mexican sort is ubiquitous where I am, the other two are harder to find.)

You guys talking about Forms and Headmasters remind me of high school. I'm American, but my school (private school, no judging) based itself off he English model, so they got really annoyed with us when we referred to out class years as anything other than third, fourth, fifth, and sixth form. Confused the heck out of anyone who didn't go to the school... Except my dad's family who are all Scotish and knew exactly what I was talking about.
