These are the best servos on the market, in my opinion. Personally, I would like to see the strength and speed of the SHV800 or the SHV650 in a low profile case. Other than that, I am thoroughly impressed with your servos. Thanks for all that you and the whole team at HH do for our hobby!!! Y'all raise the bar so high for the industry!!

You'd have a major winner with a servo that was capable of 4S direct power, 0.10s or better 60° time, and 700oz-in or better in a low profile case. Something I like about the 500v3 was its reaction time. I don't know if it had really good latency or what, but it seems like it snaps the wheels around with more speed and power than servos with better specs on paper.

    Servo feature wish list:
    1) Programmable
    2) Futaba SR, Futaba UR, Sanwa SSR, etc, support pleassssee
    3) A micro servo with all steel gears that centers better than the competition and meets (1) and (2) above.
    4) A servo that makes me not even consider AGF, Reefs, or Futaba servos because they have SR or UR mode, better post sales support, replacement gear sets readily available, and better features like a micro servo with all steel gears ;)
Thank you for your awesome products and product support.

Holmes Hobbies are my go to servos for steering. I’ve needed another servo for 3 weeks now and since the catalog is sparse Ive yet to get one that meats my needs and in stock. Strong, direct current, low profile is what I like. I hate running an external bec and Holmes always had me covered with the direct current servos. I’ve never had any issues and bought a good many over the years. I’ll wait patiently.

What drew me to Holmes Hobbies servos in the first place was a great value without compromise. Meaning, sure, you could come out with a $50 but it wouldn't be great. And the other side of the spectrum, you could come out with a $300 servo and be inssane. I think the same philosophy you put into the first one is exactly where you need to be. I truly trust your judgment as it hasn't steered us wrong yet! Crawl On!

I will say, it's sad to hear that you may not have servos for some time. I find in this industry, it's hard to find a high oz/in direct power servo that's actually affordable. Whenever I needed something I knew was going to work I went for the shv800. Unmatched in all aspects. I don't want a shifts servo that needs a bec and was low oz/in and thr dame goes with the overpriced for what you get reefs. It leaves nsdrc which are great but always sold out haha. We need you to stay in the servo game to give us another reliable option for high power direct power servos. We all appreciate your commitment to quality and can't wait to continue supporting you through the coming years!

Servo? Fast, powerful and waterproof, that's my wish list! Well, that and a reasonable price. Servo prices have just gotten way out of hand and until you can release a servo that performs really well BUT has a reasonable price, Amazon is going to continue doing booming business.

Hello John. Yes, super powerful and super fast servos for me, please. I have 3 of your servos in service, and they're absolutely top-notch. Of course, I want my servos to be externally powered for at least 3s. Rock crawling season is upon us here in Ohio, and I will be on the rocks with my rigs. I will wait for your new servos to come out to install on some of my rigs that are in the middle of being built. As always, Mr. Holmes, great info! Like button energized!

I'm kind of over the monster power servos and just sort of mid spec but good is where I'm at. I'd rather it was modestly spec'd, quiet, waterproof and esc powered.
Plenty of companies make servos but not many people make motors that can hold a candle to yours. I like having stuff matching for some reason. However, I'd rather have an exceptional HH motor/esc and an off brand servo rather than a 'good' full set of HH. Hope that makes sense.

Thanks for the update! Been running the shv800s in two of my rigs and the SHV500 LP in three others and want to stick with your servos in the future. They all worked great until I tried an LP in a rear steer application and after 4-5 batteries it developed enough play in the gears to get pretty bad servo jitter. I think stronger gears would be awesome to see

To go with that: How about a BEC that can be set higher than 12volts…. So if you’re running 4s (or more) you could directly power a 3s level servo? I can’t be the only one wanting that! lol

    Holmes BLShv2000 for an scx6.
    Exceeded expectations !! 😅
Down a 40 degree incline, all weight on front, still steers. Gotta be as close too tearing up the front end, w o tearing up the front end, yes, towers upgraded to aluminum, still think it's just a matter of time b4 it snaps something up front.

Maybe it's just the style that I drive... But, it seems to me like mega fast servo's end up moving the rear of the vehicle ( with a good servo) in some cases with the tiniest movement of the steering... Aka... F'n up the line! Lol. Anyway, I guess what I was getting at is maybe a line of servo's that while maybe not blistering fast, have very good resolution of the movement process.... Still all the torque just a little tad slower and better resolution of movement. Thanks for the bada$$ videos John

The no answer answer is better than no answer at all!
Is it really just a matter of choosing specs on servos and having them screen printed with a company name Because I'm DYING to see the video where everything is lined up on a table, tested, and proven to be the exact same - class for class. To me, it seems that it's easier and easier for company ABC to get a name printed a SUPER SPEC SERVO and then have a few people run them and then gatekeep an entire group people for not running them because they're not cool enough or whatever the reason of the day may be.
The one thing this hobby lacks is transparency. It needs it. It needs to have the layers of bulshit demolished that have been built up by the end user.
