Girl you got into those schools the old fashion way, you earned it. You are school Valedictorian 1500 SAT🎉🎉🎉. My nephew got into Yale Cornell, John Hopkins, and U of Michigan. He's going to Yale😎 I just watched your first video you come across as such a sweet person especially how you speak to your sibling 😎. Who could be mean to you 🤔
I am so proud of everything you’ve done to get this far! You are the exact person I want to be when I enter high school next year and all my highschool career. ! Thank you for posting these videos, and hope you keep guiding me through highschool! Keep being the person you are! 😁😁😁
Also, don’t let the haters get to you! You clearly deserve everything and worked hard! one thing they can NEVER take away from you is your intelligence🥹🥹
@@jaredgable390 not everyone is rich buddy. i wish she chose the ivy too but she is most likely middle class so that wouldn't have worked in her favor financially.
First of all - congrats Jhaycee 🎉🎉 You deserve every ounce of success that you have achieved. Your admissions video made me really emotional because I could see the pride in your parents eyes… that’s what every parent wants for their baby. I have a 3rd grader and Kindergartener at home and we too are moving to GA. Can you please share the name of the elementary/middle/high schools you attended? It’ll be great to see their rankings, diversity stats, subject offerings etc … that might help parents decide on schools for their kids so they too can get as many of the opportunities you had as possible.
thank you so much!! while I don’t want to share my school information online due to privacy reasons, I can assure you that your kids will succeed wherever they are with a supportive parent like yourself. Personally, I have attended title 1 public schools my whole life. According to online rankings, my high school is ranked in the bottom half of Georgia high schools. Even though I am grateful for the experiences I have gained throughout school, my schools are not the best. Many of opportunities I had were because I created them or sought them myself. When you apply to college, your school counselor is required to provide context on your school, and students are evaluated with this information in mind. While it is certainly helpful to attend high-ranked schools that are full of resources, I did not and I was still able to achieve high success in the college application process. My advice would be to encourage your kids to fall in love with learning as early as possible, and stress the importance of a good work ethic when it comes to reaching goals. If you have any questions, please let me know!
@@JhayceeCoren This is helpful.. thank you! I worry especially about moving into an area where schools are ranked 8-9/10 with very low diversity numbers or schools ranked 5-6/10 with really good racial and economic diversity. My instinct says prioritize diversity so my kids can learn about other cultures and how people from all income levels live… but we want to do the best by them so we keep getting drawn to the really high ranking public schools. You’ll be amazing at wherever/whatever you set your mind to. I can’t wait to continue to follow your journey. I wasn’t quite as successful as you in my college applications, but was fortunate to go to the best schools in my field from my bachelors to PhD, and am about to start working as a professor at one of the schools you gained admission to :) If you ever need a random online mentor to chat with, my dm’s are wide open. I’m in computer sciences, however, I can help find you mentors in your field at any of those schools you are considering if you ever need them. Enjoy your journey and don’t forget to have fun along the way.
We are all so proud of you! The whole video of the acceptances I was crossing my fingers and wishing you luck! But it didn't look like you needed it! Your hard work paid off keep it up!!
You explain everything so well! I'm currently transitioning to 8th grade and I'm starting to worry about college and things related to college. Thanks for the advice and congrats! 🎉
Congratulations! You did a great job with your academics and your extracurriculars. I really enjoyed watching your video because you have great content! Very informative. Great job!
Hey stumbled on your channel a bit ago. Love the work you put into this video, keep it up. To many people give up right before greatness, so keep pushing!
If u were Asian, u would know how much harder it is, near perfection is required but a black person can get into anything, demonstrated by this person.
Yes, you can study for the SAT, and I’m so glad you did, and didn’t just take advantage of test optional. In my opinion, test optional is looking like it’s here to stay, and doesn’t do the kids any good. Kids are kids and they will do less if you let them. Bust your butt, like you clearly did. It’s for the best. Tough love.
I don’t mean this to be negative I’m just wondering. At my school I got the highest grade for most of my classes and usually my grade was a 97. Idk if my teachers grade harder but no one gets a 100 in almost any classes. Except in really easy ones. If one person gets a hundred at my school then over half the class usually has an A. Where as for example my college trig class I got the highest grade with a 96 and only 20 percent of the student had an A. At my school we you can only take advanced classes if you have a GPA above a 3.5
Hi Jhaycee!! I couldn't stop smiling during the video, you deserve all of your success so much. I'm an international student and I'm applying for college this year, and I have one question for you: what are your tips for essays? What did you talk about in your personal statement and how do you recommend going about short essays? Thank you for your help!
Im proud of you!!! A 1500 SAT?!! Im hoping to get a 1200 so i can get a full ride to college in GA😭 You have 16 ap classes? My school only has 4😭 im being set up💀
If your school doesn't offer AP classes, don't worry, they will take the opportunities you HAD into your consideration and whether you made good use of them, they won't compare you to someone who already had it all :) good luck with your apps!
Thank you!! I’m a Georgia resident as well so I understand! Just a comment though, it’s not a full ride, just full tuition. That’s a big difference so I just wanted to make sure you’re aware! Best of luck to you!
it was literally one of the best experiences of my life!! the social studies teachers are absolutely amazing and the classes are so interesting. If my GPA is 91.75/100, but I got very good extracurricular activities and I got 1550 SAT, is my chance of being accepted to Harvard, Stanford and other universities is great or not because I feel that my GPA is somewhat weak?
Hey I was just wondering is it possible to get into Ivy schools with *not good 9th grade grades* (60-70s) and get around 100's for the rest 3 years? I really lacked for 9th grade and I'm trying my best to get 100's for the rest 3 years.
Look at Hiemler for AP gov on youtube. He also has practice sheets. I recommend you take past courses from Collegeboard and possibly read a textbook about AP gov. Ap gov revolves around the function of the American system: capitalism, natural rights, civil rights, civil liberties, etc. Ap world is more writing and has a lot of mixed history in it. Ap world is said to be harder because of that so definitely study a lot before taking those courses

how do colleges account for the different ways schools grade? my school doesn’t change grades for aps or honors. it only changes gpas for aps.
The colleges re calculate grades to make them even. This is why they ask for WGPA & UWGPA
