In this way, the actor can fully dive into any moment, scene, or performance without having it effect their own life or persona. When an actor uses an unsafe process (such as working from actual traumatic events from their own life), this can create anxiety and stress in the actor outside of the role and can have serious mental and emotional effects that can be debilitating and long-term.
