Very nice, I am looking at buying the AXIS Froth 90l, just by chance your weight and thoughts reviews on it, looking at pairing it with my AXIS foils HPS 1050 and 880
Yes, I regularly use the HPS1050, notwithstanding I have the ART999 in my quiver. The HPS1050 will get going in much less breeze than the ART999. I hate being off the foil, so if there is a chance that may happen due to the wind being fickle I will mostly choose a bigger front wing to ensure I foil through the lulls. Due to the high aspect nature of the ART (narrow chord) they can be difficult to get up onto the foil. The HPS1050 provides more lift than the ART999. If you only had two front wings in your quiver then I would choose the HPS1050 and ART999. With both you will cover a big wind range on high performance gear. If the breeze is 10 to 14 knots I will use the HPS1050. 14 knots plus I will go with the ART999. The ART999 is a nicer wing to ride (faster, more glide, better turning etc), which is obvious, but only if you have sufficient breeze. Likewise it is harder to ride, so unless you are nailing 100% of your gybes on the foil I would delay going to the ART as the HPS, BSC, PNG range are more stable for learning to gybe.
@@foilingnz3658 Thanks for the thoughts. I use the 1099/999/420 for winging but usually kite foil in lighter winds using various Sabfoil wings. Luckily I've reached a point where I am 100% gybes and 90% + for tacks. Some days I'm in the mood for winging (instead of kiting) but the winds on many days can vary from 12-20 knots during a session many times (fickle as you say). And I agree completely about rather being on the foil so thought a 1050 might be a good addition. Appreciated and regards.

Good choice Dan. I am 85 kgs. The HPS 1050 matched with the 90L Froth is a good setup.
Hi. Great video thanks. After using the ART999 do you ever use the HPS1050 any longer? Or is ART your preference now? Regards.
