That turned out to be a beautiful video and you did a good job hiding my "attitude" that day. Ha. Everything was going half way okay until my little slide/splits on that darn gravel going down to Cub. OH well, everything heals eventually! But you know my favorite part of that hike don't you. Yep, the ducks! Love the animals, always and forever ❤😊
Thanks for answering the question on how easy it is to get to the top of steep from the backside of the Cub lake hike. We have done this hike going from the Y to Moraine Park, up to cub and then up to Bierstadt to Bear and caught the bus back down to tuxedo. Fun hike and love the ducks. It seems like every 10 years that there is a fire in the cub lake area. It was just getting back to a nice forest when the last one came through. Also on that section between mill and cub there used to be a lot of really pretty flowers. It’s also the section of the park we have run into bears 🐻
Thanks for the video. You get the best weather! Those ducks are used to getting fed! Sure is a beautiful view from the lake. 9 miles is a pretty serious hike. Hope your knee heals up.
Just watched and as always your videos are both beautiful and entertaining ("Rocky" and the duck lol). What I love is identifying mountain peaks before you point them out--all because I've watched so many of your videos, which is fun ✌️ Thanks for sharing!
Great hike, still makes me sad to see Cub Lake an the burn areas, one day hopefully they will come back. Duck footage was great, I think he was looking for some Chessy Smiles! LOL. Thanks
Message from the duck: "Oh, there's Nick! He's good for some Cheesy Smiles.....quack quack" Thanks for another great video and laughs on a serious hike (with a trashed knee) on such a beautiful day.
Such a beautiful hike man, trail looks really inviting! Reflections on the lake are brilliant!

That water reflection was beautiful and i believe word is out about the cheesey smiles. Hope you shared at least one.

I also like how there's a Beirstadt peak in the Mt Evans area 🏔❤
Regarding your bum knee: Is there not an operation to repair the damage?
Thanks for taking us along. I have not been to this part of the park.
@pw2883 I am sure there is. I haven't even been to the doctor to know what the damage is.
There is no waterfall, lake, or summit in Rocky Mountain National Park that can hide from you, my brother 😅😅😅
I hope your knee gets better.
