A small amount of perimeter lead tape increases the moment of inertia significantly. The effect is crudely proportionate to the square of the distance from tape to the axis of rotation, explaining why tape at the throat has a minimal effect. I think the greatest value is to increase the size of the sweet spot.
I always hit back line drives with a sideways swipe driving it very close to the net, and it rarely goes out the back line, I'd be curious to know if it's a bad technique long-term(easily exploited by better players) or if it's fine. Most often the hit causes the ball to fly off the opponents paddle sideways out of bounds. It's much easier for me to disguise this drive to look like I'm dropping since it doesn't require a wind-up and is more of a quick wrist action. But only from the back, I always topspin at the kitchen
can you go over how holding a paddle also affects power? Like having a finger on paddle reduces the power because you are holding the racket close to the base as oppose to further out.
Rick wants to know how to put more spin on his serves. "Reverse gravity and create lift" -babycasper954 lol at the dinkmaster my blue and orange joola paddle is 7.6 ounces thank you uncle william!
it’s really not, this is all fundamental stuff necessary to improve unless you’re fine staying as a novice forever. if the content was “ok” he wouldn’t get as many views the way he does.
Comment any questions you have for me👇
Responding to everyone!
You have such great instruction and a good camera guy. Also wow your backdrops!!
I use the weights exactly where you do, really helps against bangers, keeps my paddle steady against hard drives.
Excellent tutorial and really value your teaching style.

I like this comment, I want to know as much as I can about optimal lead tape position
You are extremely informative! Love you tutorials! I am a subscriber.
Thanks for subbing!

GREAT CONTENT.....I need to move into/through my 4hand drives; bad habit of hitting off a back foot.....ugh!! Thanks for this!
beautiful courts! is this orange county? or more northern California?
When you take back paddle do you recommend limit take back such that the paddle is kept within the eyesight?
how high up is your camera at the start of your video? Please let me know if possible, I'd love to record from the same height!!
do you use the looping motion for your two-handed backhand drive?

how does this differ when trying to get more power at the NVL? (less emphasis on body turning? more wrist?). like on hard hitting volley attacks.
Good video
what place is this?

Whilst the content is ok - it's too elaborate. Too long, too many repeat references.

I disagree. Your videos are insanely great please keep them coming.
